Emmy® Award winner Julianne Hough was today announced as co-host and creative producer of the 2016 MISS USA® Competition. Hough will join Emmy® Award Nominee Terrence “J” Jenkins on stage this Sunday, June 5 (7:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX from the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

A true triple-threat, Hough is known to audiences around the world for her success as an actress, dancer and singer in film, television and on stage. Make Your Pro Wish List For Dancing With The Stars Season 23

Dancing With The Stars Season 23 will come faster than we think, so, we better make our new Pro Wish List. Question: If you were to pick 12 pros (6 males and 6 females), who would they be? You can also pick a few Alternatives in case they make the cast a little bigger, in case your main choices don’t work out, or they can’t do it for various reasons. You can also pick who you think should be in the Troupe. Let us know your picks in comments and then we’ll send this post to TPTB in a few weeks.

Below is my Pro Wish List (yes, I want some new faces):

Male Pros: Derek Hough (I don’t know how they’d swing this being he will be busy with “Hairspray” and “Singing In The Rain”, but DWTS is just not the same without him! 🙁 ), Gleb Savchenko (he’s most likely doing SCD, but, how cool it would be if they switched him to our version and a dream come true), Mark Ballas (he’s so creative. This is a must choreographer), Sasha Farber, Shannon Holtzapffel, Dennis Jauch (Shannon and Dennis were awesome in the troupe this past season. They were full of muscle and showy too).
Alternatives: Alexey Balash (one of the best dancers on DWTS Russia. He’s one of the world’s best choreographers too), Tristan MacManus, Kiril Kulish

Female Pros: Peta Murgatroyd (if she can’t, see the Alternatives, but, I am so going to miss her), Sharna Burgess, Allison Holker, Edyta Sliwinksa, Karina Smirnoff, Lindsay Arnold
Alternatives: Elena Samadonova (what a dream come true this would be. She’d make an awesome Judge too), Julianne Hough (DWTS needs a super hire dancer and choreographer like her), Emma Slater, Kym Johnson, Witney Carson

Troupe: Nika Kljun, Sonny Fredie Pedersen, Hayley Erbert, Paul Karmiryan, Paul Barris, Jenna Johnson

We plan to do a Celebrity Wish List very soon as well! So stay tuned!

Dancing With The Stars Mark Ballas Vacations With BC Jean In Hawaii

Some of the pros of Dancing With The Stars are taking some wonderful time off from the show. Mark Ballas and fiancé BC Jean went to Hawaii. Read below for what he said about it. #AWWwwMoment

5 days ago my fiancé @bcjean woke me up at 6am & told me to get up & be ready to leave the house in 20 minutes. I was so exhausted and a little resistant, but she told me I didn't have a choice. So, I rolled out of bed, got in the shower & was dressed in 15 minutes. The next words out of her mouth were "I packed for you", as she gestured to my big suitcase, and before I knew it we were in an uber headed to an unknown destination. The hour long car ride had me confused, guessing the entire time as to where we were going. Then we pulled up to LAX airport, but it wasn't until she checked us in and handed me my boarding pass did I know exactly what was going on. She said "I'm taking you to Maui for your 30th birthday to swim with the turtles, relax, recover and think about nothing." I looked down at the ticket and it said Maui on it.. I was in utter disbelief. Fast forward 7 hours later we immediately started 5 of the best days I have ever had, beginning with a helicopter ride straight after landing on Hawaiian soil. Our adventures continued with scuba diving, road tripping, laying out, fantastic dinners, enjoying nature and unforgettable scenery. Lastly….. I finally got to check off a bucket list item of mine which was swimming with the turtles ? I feel completely rested, healed & rejuvenated. I can't thank my lovely fiancé enough. I wish we didn't have to go back tmrw. This has been the best vacation together yet & I can't wait for more. I love you more & more every day.. I needed this more than you know.. Or I guess you did know ? I love you.

Carrie Ann Inaba Writes On How DWTS Season 22 Touched Her, An Open Letter

Carrie Ann Inaba has written her last blog of the season at Access Hollywood. She talks of why Dancing With The Stars Season 22 was her favorite and how touched she was by the contestants this season. So much so, she was moved to learn sign language. You can read the full blog at Access Hollywood. Below is her open letter “to anyone who wants to try something new but is afraid”….

To Anyone Who Wants to Try something New but is Afraid;

To all of you who have a desire, a dream, or a daring thought of doing something you have never done before, of trying something you wish you had done many years ago and may be afraid you are too old to do now.

To those of you who feel a tug in your heart when you watch someone dancing, singing, painting, volunteering, or reaching out to help when no one else will, because deep in your heart, you want to be that person…

To the shy souls that want to say hello to a neighbor they always see but have never learned his/her name, or to the successful business people who really just want to start their own small business and simplify their lives,

I offer you this: Life is a journey, your personal journey.

It is yours to explore your heart’s desires and your most secret dreams.

If you listen to the whispers of your heart, even if you think people may laugh or judge you, you will find yourself satisfied and you will give yourself joy.

For life is about growth and expanding, exploring the unknown, and pursuing your own bliss.

Start small, or go for it all.
But I urge you all to dare to live the life you want to live.
And maybe even one day, we will see you on Dancing with the Stars.

Have a beautiful summer and I hope to see you soon.

To all the Season 22 contestants, thank you for daring to dance with us. Your courage has inspired us all. I hope you have enjoyed and have been enriched by the journey. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with you all, and to do something I love. Spread love wherever you can and I’ll see you next season! xoxo

— Carrie Ann Inaba

DWTS Allison Holker’s New Dance Project, Baby Maddox Dances Every Night

If you go to People you can see a really sweet update on Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss and Allison Holker’s baby. Apparently baby Maddox is dancing already and loves hip hop. Note too that Allison is already back to work. She is currently choreographing dance sequences for ABC’s upcoming Arsenio Hall-produced series “Greatest Hits” which us a salute to the music of the 80s and 90s (this show looks really good. I think I will tune in). Lots more at People.

Holker says they’ve been delighting in taking in each daily milestone and discovery. “He just noticed his hands for the first time yesterday,” she says. “It was so cool because they think their hands are so magical. He just stares at it. He thinks it’s the coolest thing he’s ever seen, and he’s so amazed by everything. It’s a good reminder as a parent — we should just be happy about everyday life because for a baby, everything is amazing and cool. So I think we’ve got to do that more as people.”

Boss isn’t afraid to admit that of course even Maddox has thrown them some parent-testing curveballs, but even those have brought a certain joy. “If ‘explosive diapers’ is not too graphic for an answer, then I would say ‘explosive diapers,’ ” says the dancer. “But honestly, every little thing is incredible and joyous. Even if he’s crying loud, you’re like, ‘Yo, you have an impressive set of lungs, I’m proud of that.’ ”

cuteness overload
