Below are the Pro Numbers which were featured on Dancing With The Stars Week 2’s results show tonight. Weren’t they amazing? The dance with Maks, Derek, and Cheryl was just stunning…EMMY MATERIAL! THANK YOU TPTB for bringing them back like this!! I’m so so happy!! This show just added more depth to it that it was lacking before. Thanks to @Idolxfactor1 for recording.
The other two dances can be found in the Playlist at IdolXfactor.com.

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)
Sharna Burgess has written a new blog at TV Guide. She couldn’t be more proud of her Dancing With The Stars partner James Hinchcliffe and their dance last night. Now they are about to find out who will be eliminated and she’s sad thinking about it. Here is more….
I could not be more proud of James and I as a team for what we were able to do in such a short space time. We only had a day and a half to get this dance together and on top of that, we had some added complications. We were supposed to do a specific scene from The Walking Dead, which had been cleared by the network, and then late on Tuesday AMC pulled clearance on the song! So most of my Tuesday was spent trying to find either a new song with a new dance style, or another TV scene that had Paso Doble. All of which were impossible to find, given the time that we had! In the end,we found a song that sounded like The Walking Dead and we were able to do something that was inspired by the show.
I watched it back and I feel like James absolutely killed it. He was such a dominating male role in that number. Especially with three very tall, fantastic dancers dancing next to him. I still on Tuesday have no idea what our dance is for this coming week, but we are headed into our results show right now to find out who is going home first. It is really sad to think that the eliminations are beginning and we’re going to start losing people. It always sucks to say goodbye to anyone that is a part of this cast and this family, however I think we all grew a lot closer because of the things that happened last week. In a weird way, all of that brought us all closer. I do not want to see anyone go home. I certainly do not want to see Ryan go home, but I know that that is the name of the game. Hopefully James and I did enough last week and this week to be able to stay on for a bit and win fans’ votes, and ultimately take it all the way.

Apparently, Calvin Johnson and Lindsay Arnold’s Dancing With The Stars Week 2’s dance almost didn’t happen. Thank goodness it did. Here is more from ET….
While chatting with ET on Tuesday, Arnold explained that the former NFL pro was “bummed” when producers originally told him he wouldn’t be able to portray his favorite TV character.
“When they asked us what TV show we wanted to do, we submitted Family Matters, and that was the only one we were interested in doing — we really wanted it,” she confessed. “Calvin loves the show and I loved the song, so we were really pushing for it. But then on Monday, when they usually give us our music, we got ‘I’m Popeye the Sailor Man.'”
“I immediately called them and was like, ‘What happened?'” she continued. “They were like, ‘We’re so sorry, we couldn’t get the song cleared.’ That actually happens all the time. There are times where you will literally have taught your celebrity the entire routine, and then they can’t use the music anymore, so you have to switch up your routine. Thankfully, it wasn’t too late in the game.”
The next morning, Arnold headed to her creative meeting, where she started to let the crew know what she was envisioning for the costumes, lighting and set for the Popeye-themed performance.
“I walked in and they go, ‘Lindsay, we have a surprise for you, Family Matters cleared!'” she dished. “I was obviously so excited, but then in my mind I said, ‘OK, erase everything you just did and start completely brand new.’ It was perfect for Calvin. I’m so glad we were able to do that one!”
To read on the extra work they put into the dance to make it happen and more, see ET.

Well, seems there was a bit of protective scoring going on â were we right to be worried about Terra? In any case, she did a great dance, she was just a bit overscored.
Unfortunately for Jake, Maureen had a good, nostalgic dance and Ryan overcame his protesters (and the heart shirts a bunch of people wore will likely touch hearts as well, and Amber is still dancing with Maks. I would be STUNNED if Maks were ever the first one out. Your pro wonât win you the show, but he should prevent you from being first out. Read more..

I really do have kind of a love-hate relationship with TV weeks – and really, theme weeks in general. They’ve brought us some really good dances, and they’ve brought us some pretty craptastic dances. And a whole lotta awkward sh*t in between – this is what happens, kids, when you try to force a certain song to fit a certain dance, or try to force certain costuming to fit a certain dance, or a certain dance to fit a certain theme, etc. There was definitely some awkwardness last night that I would blame primarily on this week’s theme – I feel like Amber & Maks, Jake & Jenna, and Rob/Vanilla & Witney kinda got played by their assigned themes, while I commend Calvin & Lindsay and Babyface and Allison for making their theme work for them…particularly the latter, which I’ll get into more later. Also a lot of time wasting at the beginning of several of the dances, which seemed to be a pretty across-the-board thing, so I guess I can’t complain too much – although I will say some pros utilized the time wasting more than others.
And while I think the distraction of the protesters last week may have somewhat blurred any potential agenda by the judges, I felt like we really saw that agenda take shape awfully clearly this week: Laurie is the chosen one, and anyone that poses a threat to Laurie needs to be nitpicked, criticized, and underscored to protect her. I think the only other celeb that escaped the judges unscathed besides Laurie was Terra, which is also somewhat problematic, which I will get into later; but why give a dance straight 8’s and then don’t explain ways in which it can be improved upon? If it’s truly perfect and you aren’t going to give any negative feedback, give it 10’s. If you’re not giving it 10’s and you’re not offering up suggestions for improvement…something’s rotten in the state of Denmark.
Not sure if I’ll do another round of power rankings later tonight/early tomorrow or not (for next Monday’s elimination), as I’ve got some other things going on that are going to make the next 24 hours very, very busy for me, but for now…I guess take these as my predictions for who is going home tomorrow night, and I might just do an update tomorrow evening after we boot the first celeb. Ultrasound sales specialist by day, semi-knowledgeable DWTS fan by night...with a smattering of hair & makeup enthusiast, occasional model, baker, and crazy cat lady peppered in to make things REALLY interesting ;-) I might pee my pants in happiness if Donnie Wahlberg ever does DWTS - or if they ever use "Sunglasses at Night" as a paso doble.
Peta Murgatroyd reviewed Dancing With The Stars Week 2 on Good Morning America today. She thinks Laurie and Val have a lot of potential to win the season. She thinks Rick and Emma are going home tonight (I wish they gave her more time to talk on the others). More below including a report on Ryan Lochte and how he is bouncing back. Thanks to @Idolxfactor1 for his speedy recording.

According to Glamour, Dancing With The Stars will continue to air on Mondays and Tuesdays for the next three weeks and then go back to just dances and eliminations on Monday nights. You know what that means….MORE PRO NUMBERS! Yay!!
Also, some of you might be wondering (like myself) if the show conflicts with the 2016 Presidential Debates. Via ABC, Dancing With The Stars will only air for an hour on Monday next week September 26th. It starts at 8:00pm ET. The Presidential Debate will take place at 9:00pm ET right afterwards (but, check times in your area just to be sure depending if you have cable or a satellite). The Results Show will air for 2 hours on Tuesday, September 27th.
ETA: ABC has updated their schedule. Note that Dancing With The Stars will return to it’s 2 hour show on Monday, October 3rd. The Results show will air for an HOUR ONLY on Tuesday, October 4th. The Vice-Presidential Debate will air immediately afterwards.

Below are some photos of Dancing With The Stars Week 2 courtesy of Getty Images. To see more, just click the photos. I think I was wowed the most on Sharna and James costumes. Sharna’s hair was just stunning! Jana and Gleb looked so beautiful too. Least fave: Jenna and Jake! Who had your favorite and least favorite costumes?

Well, I’m not sure I’m a fan of TV night and yet, it was so cool seeing some of my favorites shows come to life on the dance floor. So, let’s take a look at the scores again from last week and this week via ABC:
I really hope Rick and Emma aren’t eliminated tonight. I’d rather it be Jake and Jenna as I’m not feeling them at ALL. đŻ More on this in Courtney’s new Power Ranking post coming up later. Be sure to get your rankings ready.

Access Hollywood:
Entertainment Tonight has a few interviews. I’d embed them, but, they don’t stop playing. You can see them at this link. I’m especially loving the Gleb and Jana. Note that he had to take out a lot of choreography he had planned for her, but, he raved for the fighter she is and is proud of how well she did.
Below are some backstage tidbits from Glamour. Be sure to read the link for more. Note how they report that Dancing With The Stars will continue to air on Mondays and Tuesdays for the next three weeks and then go back to just dances and eliminations on Monday nights.
Marilu Henner was still high on getting an 8 from Len, but admitted the rehearsal schedule for DWTS is “much more consuming than I thought. I don’t know how those people that are traveling and doing the show are doing it! It’s tough.” As for her partnership with Derek, “he’s a lot funnier than I was expected him to be,” laughed the actress. “We both come from big families, so we have that [compatibility] where we can fight and makeup and challenge each other and laugh and get crazy, and I feel so comfortable with him. Thatâs a gift. He doesnât let anything slide. Nothing slides with him! I donât let anyone boss me around, but I let him boss me around!”
Speaking of type-A partners, Amber Rose revealed she’s not exactly taking advantage of her friendship with Maks. “I should ask him to set me up,” she laughed. “I bet he has some hot friends! I think I will [ask him]!” As for the dancing though, Amber was a bit bummed that her foot got caught in the curtain at the start of the routine, “but I just pushed through and did my best. That’s all I could really do.”
Terra Jole was one of the last to leave the backstage area, perhaps still basking in the glow of the judges feedback. “I had no idea [I could do this],” she told us backstage. “I’m so critical that I really want to do the best that I can. Sometimes if I feel like Sasha is dumbing down the dance for me, I’m like, ‘No, let me do it! Just give me another try!’ So in those moments like that, it’s nice to feel rewarded with those scores.”
See this link at People for some highlights and interviews. Emily You Tube has some DWTS All Access coverage at this link.
Also, USA Today has an assessment on the athletes. They think Laurie is untouchable. I’m not so sure on that. I’m enjoying Calvin and James much more. I’m also loving Ryan’s journey and attitude.
Keep checking back. We may add more later. Thanks so much for reading. xx
“The body parts are getting bigger andâŠwe got lucky, she never really threw upâŠbut she would just feel yucky, ‘I don’t know what’s with wrong with me.’ I’d be like, ‘We know exactly what it is you’re pregnant and congratulations, ‘I’m going to go work,'” Maks laughed.
Murgatroyd, who sat out this season because of her pregnancy, has had a good one, Maks said, because of “the years of fitness and dieting and the right type of food. She’s not going through any sort of toxic events and she’s not sick. She’s just pregnant the way nature intended it because we’re not getting in the way of it with sh—y foodsâŠplus, she doesn’t having cravings of Burger King or McDonalds, junk food. She has cravings of like five star restaurants, 100 percent grass fed.”
Meanwhile, former Texas Governor Rick Perry, who is dancing for veterans’ causes, improved this week, receiving a 22 for his “Green Acres” quickstep with Emma Slater.
Perry revealed to FOX411 his buddy Donald Trump watched his week one dance. “I talked to him last week, he called and was flying between one stop and another and said, ‘Hey, I just saw your performance.’ I’m sure it was a delayed feed, but he said, ‘You did a good job. Keep it up!’ “
