DWTS Emma Slater And Sasha Farber To Show Their New Home On ET And More

Fox has such a sweet story up of Dancing With The Stars Sasha Farber and Emma Slater. Apparently, Emma told reporters that she wants to marry Sasha. She also spoke on their new home. Here is more….

Longtime “DWTS” professional dancers Emma Slater and Sasha Farber are now living together and she told reporters after Monday’s show that she wants to marry him.

When FOX411 boldly asked if they are going to get hitched, Slater replied, “I would like to. I feel like it’s soon. I’ve been hinting pretty heavily and if you tell all your girlfriends to go tell and him [that] I think I was ready for marriage now, then I think that’s a pretty strong hint. He probably gets it.”

Slater, who is British, and Farber, who is a Russian born Australian, are both competing this season; Slater’s partner is former Texas governor Rick Perry while Farber is successfully navigating the challenge of dancing with the show’s first celebrity little person, Terra Jole.

Slater, who previously took her “DWTS” blue collar comedian partner Bill Engvall to a surprise fourth place in season 17, said she and Farber have been struggling to agree on a style for their home.

“Redecorating with someone you’re with can be quite a tough decision because he likes everything modern and I like everything really traditional and English-y, cottagey, that kind of thing,” she said. “But we found our style and love it.”

More at Fox. These two are so cute and we wish them the best. I’m dying to see their new house too which will be featured on Entertainment Tonight in the near future.

Dancing With The Stars Lindsay Arnold Chats Of How Proud She Is Of Calvin Johnson And Lots More

Lindsay Arnold chatted with Entertainment Tonight about how she felt about her and Calvin Johnson’s face off dance. She was so happy they were able to get “8’s” last night. She couldn’t be more proud of Calvin. Here is more…

It showed in the judges scoring, but in your opinion, would you say this was your guys’ best night yet?

I would say for sure this was our best night yet. He did something that I was NOT expecting! When we stepped out on the dance floor, his performance was better than I’ve ever seen it. He really turned it on and gave it everything he’s got. It was our best dance, not just because of the judges’ scores, but because it was a breakthrough for Calvin — showing he has more sides to him and that he’s willing to do what it takes to be the best dancer. He wants to win this thing!

I’m so impressed by how bright his personality shines on that stage. In last week’s dress rehearsal, you were telling me he was really hard on himself and nervous. How was he feeling this week?

Calvin is a perfectionist. Even when he’s doing a good job, he still wants to be better. It’s great because it makes him work even harder, and for me, I don’t have to pull that out of him — he just wants to do it. Last night when he got the 8s he was so happy, and extremely proud of himself. But then immediately he was like, “OK, well, we gotta be better now. Now we have to get better than 8, we can’t stay the same.”

You guys are now clear frontrunners in this competition. How do you plan to stay at the top?

I don’t think people expected us to be the highest scorers of the night. So, I think if we just keep continuing to do what we’re doing, we’ll be fine. Calvin is getting better every single week, and I don’t want that to stop — I don’t want him to get comfortable. This week, I’m really going to harp him on that. Yes, we’re at the top, but that can be gone so quickly. He does not want to go down, so we’re going to stay at the top and to do anything we can to prove he’s improving every week.

Lots more at Entertainment Tonight.

Ryan Lotche Protesters Charged And Could Face Up To 6 Months In Jail, DWTS Security Still Tight

According to Entertainment Tonight, the protesters who stormed the stage on Dancing With The Stars a few weeks ago have been officially charged. They could face up to 6 months in jail. Read on…

The two protesters who stormed the stage following Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke’s performance during week one of Dancing With the Stars have officially been charged, ET has learned.

The City Attorney’s Office filed criminal complaints on Tuesday against Sam Sotoodeh, 59, and Barzeen Soroudi, 25, who were wearing anti-Lochte T-shirts and did not have tickets to the ABC taping when they were booked for trespassing. Both men could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. Their arraignment is scheduled for next Tuesday in Los Angeles.

Sources close to production told ET that security at DWTS is still tight following the incident that occurred earlier this month.

“Security guards stand in the ballroom in the back of the audience, walking down the aisles and circling the dance floor during the commercial breaks,” a source inside the ballroom confirmed.

Thank goodness security is still tight and I hope they keep it that way. More at Entertainment Tonight.

Dancing with the Stars Season 23, Week 3 – Dancing by the Numbers!

This was written during and after the first (HISTORIC) Presidential Debate. You’ve been warned. 🙂

I have a sniffing, loud guy in my ear, so I’m having a hard time concentrating, but how on earth is Terra two points ahead of Marilu?? This is a mystery to me. I think Marilu had a balance problem right at the beginning of her dance (she’s 64, after all), but that was a good dance. Then again, how did Laurie get a full three points more than her, lift and all?? And is that the first time Val’s ever actually been called on a lift? He’s done them before but I don’t remember him getting so nailed on it.

Anyway, I think Terra (and Laurie) did do a good job, I just don’t get the scoring two weeks in a row that insulates her. I’m afraid that once the people they want to leave, actually leave the scoring may change and that is fair to no one. It’s whiplash inducing for people who don’t know just how manipulated this show really is.  Read more..

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

Part 2 PureDWTS Season 23 Week 3 Media And Interviews After Night One

PureDWTS Season 23 Week 3 Media, Interviews, And Scores After Night One

What a fun night for Dancing With The Stars Season 23 Week 3. Short, but, fun. I’m looking forward to a longer show tonight. So, let’s review the scores again. I think I agree with these standings with an exception to Gleb and Jana. There scores should have been higher. I think James and Sharna deserved high scores as well.

Calvin Johnson Jr. and Lindsay Arnold (Viennese Waltz): 8-8-8-8 TOTAL: 32 (SAFE FROM ELIMINATION)
Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy (Tango): 7-8-8-8 TOTAL: 31 (SAFE FROM ELIMINATION)
Terra Jole and Sasha Farber (Viennese Waltz): 8-7-8-7 TOTAL: 30 (IN JEOPARDY)
James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess (Cha Cha): 7-7-8-7 TOTAL: 29 (SAFE FROM ELIMINATION)
Marilu Henner and Derek Hough (Tango): 7-7-7-7 TOTAL: 28 (IN JEOPARDY)
Maureen McCormick and Artem Chigvintsev (Salsa): 7-7-7-7 TOTAL: 28 (SAFE FROM ELIMINATION)

Now onto some media, interviews, bumpers from Al, and some red room coverage….

ABC7:

Glamour talked with a few of the couples. Be sure to read the link for more.

But back to the dancing, shall we? “I didn’t adapt too well to cha-cha,” revealed James. “I’m perfectly OK with making mistakes or not grasping something, but I’m not OK with not knowing why. We really went through a couple rough days trying to get to the bottom of what was holding me back. It was a disaster at camera-blocking and completely went off the rails again. Then, in between dress rehearsal and the live show, Sharna made a couple changes and made me feel way better about it. When we did it for the live show, it was the best run I had. To have it happen when immunity was on the line was not bad.”

Laurie Hernandez was literally bouncing around backstage, thrilled to have been granted immunity this week. Still, there was one part of the show she didn’t like: The lack of the judges commentary. “I don’t know what to fix for the next time,” said the fan favorite.

Laurie and partner Val Chmerkovskiy wound up one point behind first place finishers Calvin Johnson and Lindsay Arnold, and at this point in the competition, doesn’t count anyone out. “Everyone is competition [for me] on the show. I need to work extra hard to keep my spot, but so is everyone else.” Still, “every week exceeds my expectations,” said the longtime DWTS fan. “It’s incredible.”
