Private Members Area – Any Questions for Marilu Henner?
Happy Weekend everyone! We’re really excited that we’re going to get the chance to interview Marilu. Do you have questions for Marilu Henner about Dancing With The Stars or her partner Derek Hough or something else that comes to mind? If so, put your questions in the comments. Note: We’ll do our best to include your questions, but we’ll likely be limited in how many she’ll be able to answer during the busy DWTS season.
What’s been the most challenging aspect of the show? The live performances? Remembering choreo? Do you think your excitement in finally being on the show has made you nervous during the live taping?
Thank you for dancing on DWTS. You’ve brought back so many fond memories of laughter growing up watching Taxi(especially being my Dad died this past year). Question: what was your sweetest moment on Taxi looking back on it now? Also, were their ever times when you and the cast were laughing so hard, it was hard getting a scene filmed?
Of all of your accomplishments, which one means the most?
Your memory of dates is so amazing. For fun, what happened on February 9, 1971?
I’m thrilled to see you finally on my beloved dancing show!
Is the actual experience living up to your expectations? What aspects are surprising? Is there a style that you are particularly looking forward to? Or, was it one that you’ve already been assigned?
Marilu, you are a great inspiration to a lot of people by straying not only young at heart but having a thriving career and participating in one of the most grueling dance program on television.
What is your secret to maintaining youthfulness, great level of energy and positivity?
What dance style, music or type of costume you wish to do on DWTS in the future?
what was your favorite dance so far?
Irina
You’re an inspiration, Marilu!
What’s one thing you’re gaining/learning through this experience that you didn’t think you’d be gaining/learning?
I know you’ve written books on training memory, so I want to know how important you might think it is for people to improve their memory? What do you think people can gain from improving their memory?
Thanks for your time! No get back to practicing!
Love Marliu! Her partnership with Derek is a dream and her positive nature is so appreciated.
1. Being a superfan of the show you had some idea what you were getting into. Outside of the training being harder than you probably thought, what has shocked you the most about the experience?
2. You’re in excellent shape, but obviously the show is taxing. What sort of therapies (ice, massage) etc. are you finding helpful?
3. Derek talks about learning something from each of his partners. Is there anything (skill, life lesson) etc. that you are hoping to impart on Derek?
4. Now that you’ve done DWTS, is there anything else on your bucket list you are hoping to accomplish?
Good Luck!
I’m curious about how her memory works in regards to the show. I assume that choreo is constantly changing during the week, at camera blocking, and final dress rehearsal. Is it difficult to forget the previous choreo, and with your memory never forgetting, make it confusing during the performance?
I wish that the mods would let her know how much many of us are rooting for her and love her partnership with Derek! But to me watching on tv, it appears that she not totally relaxed or totally enjoying the dance or her performance as she could be. Her facial and body language looks so tense, but it could be the camera angle, or the editing though.
Does Derek have any relaxing techniques before each performance?
What’s the best part of having Derek as a teacher?
Heart took my question more or less. I’d just add “Does her incredible memory help or hurt her with remembering choreography?”
Is her memory retained mainly by visuals or audio? I wonder if it would help her to learn the choreo blindfolded, possibiy allowing her to feel the music and movement more which would enhance her performance?
