Mark Ballas Will Be Video Blogging his Broadway Run in “Jersey Boys”
Well, this should be fun!! Mark’s going to catalog his Jersey Boys Adventures for Broadway.com starting when his run starts next Tuesday and every Tuesday after that! Check it out.
Soon, you won’t be able to take your eyes off of this vlog. Jersey Boys’ newest star Mark Ballas is Broadway.com’s next video blogger. Grab your red blazer and some comfortable shoes, because Walk Like a Man begins next week.
The vlog will kick off as Ballas rehearses for his Broadway debut as Frankie Valli and capture backstage life as Jersey Boys approaches its final performance in January. Expect appearances and hijinks from his fellow Seasons: Nicolas Dromard, Drew Seeley, Matt Bogart and his Frankie counterpart Mauricio Pérez.
What fun! I hope Derek will do the same when he starts Singing in the Rain.
Sucks that Mark is not competing this season, but glad that he’s doing something where he is getting a lot of recognition. He really deserves the amount of attention that Derek usually gets since him going on Broadway is a very big deal.
Thanks for posting this info, PH. Agree, Mark’s vlog should be fun.
CH, sorry, but I don’t agree it sucks that Mark isn’t competing this season. Do I miss him? Yes, absolutely. The show is not the same for me without him. But he’s realizing a dream by appearing in Jersey Boys on Broadway. He’s wanted to do Jersey Boys since it first came out; and he’s proud of the fact that he went through the same audition process as everyone else; and was ultimately the one selected. He’s not doing it for recognition; just as Derek doesn’t do his projects for recognition. I don’t know if you follow Mark on social media, but he’s working hard, keeping fit and having the time of his life. He says in his latest interview with Access Hollywood that he needed a break from DWTS. Maybe he’ll be back; maybe he won’t. The way Season 22 ended still doesn’t sit right with me; and I’d hate for that sad look on his face just before Nyle was announced the winner to be the end of his time on the show; but if it is, so be it. He’s excited and happy now; and it’s wonderful to see.
PH, Courtney, Vogue and John…my apologies if I’ve overstepped.
No problem. Someone needs to get through to CH, since she constantly likes to paint Mark a victim, and I’m tired of it.
Understood, PH; and thank you.
I’m so darn happy for Mark! Such wonderful things are happening for him: pending marriage to his creative soul-mate, success of Alexander Jean, and this fantastic role in Jersey Boys. He will be amazing, I know it. He is such a generous entertainer and so wildly talented that I know he will be superb on that stage. Of course, I miss him on DWTS this season, but he just seems so happy these days, I’m delighted for him. Sadly, I won’t be able to get to Broadway to see the show, so I hope maybe a little something will be posted on youtube, fingers crossed.
