DWTS 24 Erika Jayne Talks On Dancing And The Real Housewives On “Watch What Happens Live” – Highlights, Photos

The Daily Mail has some gorgeous photos of Erika Jayne on “Watch What Happens Live” yesterday. They also interviewed her on Dancing With The Stars and The Real Housewives and the differences in doing them. More below and at the link.

‘You look like you’ve lost weight that you didn’t need to lose from Dancing With The Stars,’ Andy told Erika, who paired her blouse with black pants and high heels.

‘Well, I am smaller. So it’s a great side effect of the job, so thank you,’ Erika smiled happily, later joking that while she ‘lost weight’ on the dance show ‘I beef up during Housewives.’

Asked which show was harder, she called them ‘two completely different exhaustive processes,’ and laughed: ‘Dancing With The Stars is physical pain — Real Housewives is mental pain!’

Asked about her first night dancing, she said: ‘I mean … it’s OK.’

And as for the judges’ harsh scores of 24 points out of 40 for her — insisting she does not think she was ‘robbed’ — she said: ‘That’s OK too. You have to remember it’s your first time out there. It’s week one.’

She was pleased when host Andy, 48, told her he did not think she was too raunchy in her performance, while one male caller also told her: ‘If you’ve got it, flaunt it — raunch it, baby!’

DWTS Nancy Kerrigan On How Dancing Is So Much Different Than Skating

Nancy Kerrigan wrote about her first dance and what the experience was like getting ready for Dancing With The Stars. It was a busy day to say the least, but, she was happy with the results. More below from Team USA

I was surprisingly calm before the show. I had my family and some friends in the audience and was able to talk to them before the show. But the nerves kicked in right as the show was about to begin.

The show opening was simple enough for me to learn and it was exciting to be part of the show. I had watched it a hundred times before so I knew what to expect, but it’s always a little different when there is a full house, the lights come on and it’s “go time.”

But as the show unfolded I realized I was having a ton of fun – so much so that I wanted to do my dance again. And not to get better scores. We got all 7s, which was good. I wanted to experience the whole atmosphere one more time. The live band, the lights, the crowd in close proximity – but mainly the feeling of the dance.

I have come to realize that dancing is so much different than skating. The moves of the Viennese Waltz are, in some cases, very opposite to skating. Even the turns go in a direction that is opposite to the way I normally spin.

So I was doing something really different and new. And it was a huge adrenaline rush to learn something so new and then perform it and have that performance appreciated.

We ended week one tied for third. Not bad. But regardless, it was a great experience.

Lots more at Team USA.
