PureDWTS Season 24 Week 3 Media, Interviews, Recaps, And Scores After The Dances
What a show stopper night on Dancing With The Stars last night. I ended up really liking “Vegas Night”. I especially loved Derek and Julianne Hough’s “Unsteady” performance too. The art and the story telling was off the hook.
So, let’s review last night’s scores again…
Normani Kordei and Valentin Chmerkovskiy: Scores of 8-8-9-9 from the judges for a total of 34.
Heather Morris and Alan Bersten: Scores of 9-8-8-8 from the judges for a total of 33.
Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvintsev: Scores of 8-9-8-8 from the judges for a total of 33.
Simone Biles and Sasha Farber: Scores of 7-8-9-8 from the judges for a total of 32.
David Ross and Lindsay Arnold: Scores of 8-7-8-8 from the judges for a total of 31.
Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater: Scores of 7-7-7-7 from the judges for a total of 28.
Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd: Scores of 7-6-7-6 from the judges for a total of 26.
Erika Jayne and Gleb Savchenko: Scores of 6-7-7-6 from the judges for a total of 26.
Mr. T and Kym Herjavec: Scores of 6-6-6-6 from the judges for a total of 24.
Bonner Bolton and Sharna Burgess: Scores of 6-6-6-6 from the judges for a total of 24.
Charo and Keo Motsepe: Scores of 6-6-6-6 from the judges for a total of 24.
ET and People have interviews with some of the couples after the show and their reactions. And here is more….
From FOX11:
Former Chicago Cubs player David Ross continued to impress, bringing the house down with a “Magic Mike” themed number that had him stripping down to his red skivvies—and a tee shirt with perfect drawn-on abs.
The athlete, who scored 31 with partner Lindsay Arnold, told FOX411 that his wife Hyla approved the risqué dance because “I do that goofy stuff at home. Get out of the shower and I’m all messing with her ’cause I’ve got that goofy side of me but to do that in front of millions of people and in this environment was a little scary for me. I told her, ‘Daddy’s coming home with some new moves!’ ”
Football player Rashad Jennings received 28 points from the judges for his samba that wasn’t quite up to his usual standard with partner Emma Slater.
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne received 26 for a jive, with Judge Julianne Hough sighing, “You were a little wobbly on your feet.”
Tying with Jayne with 26 points was “The Bachelor” star Nick Viall, who tango-ed with Peta Murgatroyd to Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face.”
After the show, Viall told FOX411, “I feel great about tonight….I was more in the moment than in the first two weeks.”

From Glamour(lot’s of hints on next week’s dances):
NFL star Rashad Jennings plans to dedicate next week’s dance to his dad. “We both have saved each other’s lives at some point from different challenges, and I hope to show that emotion on the dance floor.” As of now, it’s still undetermined if Jennings’ dad will be able to make it to L.A. for the show. “He lives in Virginia and he’s a diabetic and had to get both of his legs amputated. So it’s difficult for him to get around.”
Even though next week promises to be an emotional one, Jennings is just happy to be part of the experience. “I’m having so much fun. I’m diving into the work and taking notes from Emma, and trying to smile and be me on the dance floor.” And as for his buddies reactions? “The majority of them had no idea [I could dance]. I’m getting all kinds of texts!”
While last night’s dance wasn’t the typical hit with the judges that it had been the last two weeks, Jennings took it all in stride. “I learn from it. I still had fun. Playing in the NFL, I always say after the game, ‘the tape is never going to look as good as you’d like it, and it’s not going to be as bad as you think either.’ That’s just the rule. And secondly, you have to ask yourself, ‘Did you give it everything you had? And did you have fun?’ If you can say yes to both of those, you can live with the results. So I’m going to learn from it and move on to the next one.”

Thanks for the updates Vogue. I didn’t realise Nancy got a better score than Simone, I find that really cool to see a 47 year old Olympian beating a 20 year old Olympian. There’s life in the middle aged females on this show just yet!
YW and thanks. And I too didn’t realize she beat Simone. Very cool indeed.
Thanks for providing these interviews and compiling the scores, Vogue. I feel like Bonner may be in some real trouble this week. I’m not super confident that he’ll be able to get more votes than Mr. T.
Nancy may be a dark horse people are ignoring. I felt she had the best dance last night.
Rashad’s quotes in Glamour about performing and his dad makes me like him even more. All my votes have been going to him. And I can’t believe how many muscles he has. He is so darn ripped. But that’s not why I’m voting for him. It’s about the amazing dancing without any previous performance or dance experience for me. And his chemistry with Emma. I just love this couple. Plus I figure that David is getting Cub Nation votes.
Heart, I love Rashad’s story and muscles too!
I didn’t have a chance to read the stuff from Glamour before, but now that I have, I must say good for Peta for calling out the scoring and critique of Nick. It was especially egregious this week. The fact that 2 of the judges gave the same score to Nick as they gave to Bonner and Mr. T is rather mind-blowing to me.
M, I’m a little worried on them too…and Erika and Gleb.
I truly admire Normani Kordel and Val. With her hectic schedule she was still able to pull it off as the top score. She is an excellent dancer.
Val is not one of my favorites (personality-wise) however, he has really and truly stepped up to the plate with this Normani. She is really keeping up with his rather fast dance moves.
@Vogue – I love this! The scores, the videos, and the recaps all tucked into one neat little package. Thanks!
Awww thanks Sandy!!! Love you all! xxx
Justine1, I can’t say they are my fave couple, but, I sure loved their dance last night. And I agree…it’s unreal that they are travelling like they are and able to pull off a dance like that.
Thanks,Vogue , for all your hard work! I like to see what the “impartial” media thinks.
Wonder what Val is going to complain about since this is the last week of the asian tour.
Thanks so much…. and good question. 😉
Is it just me, or does it seem like Simone and Sasha haven’t gotten nearly as many post-show interviews as other couples this season? I feel the same way about David and Lindsay as well.
