DWTS Season 25, Week 1 – Who’s Dancing What…and When?

Thanks to Rachel in the comments for the heads up on People’s (early, so we can’t spoil) reveal of the songs and dances for week 1. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Of course, I’ve been on vacation so I’ve not been paying attention anyway. When is the premiere again? ๐Ÿ™‚

Okay, so People doesn’t have ALL the dances, but they have a good number. And, as usual, I look at some of these choices and I roll my eyes. Who the hell does Tango in Week 1?? Ridiculous. Of course, if Jordan and Lindsay kill it, it will go one of two ways. It will label him as a ringer and it will handicap him…or it will set him on the road to the finals. I wager it depends on the package and the running order. Hope he kills it. Foxtrot and Cha Cha are pretty standard week 1 dances. Salsa? Eh, it’s fine.

As I say EVERY SEASON, these are not in dance order until you see a dance order under someone’s name. Until then, it’s either alphabetical or just plain random.

ETA: Updated with Phone numbers. NOTE:These were handed out in alphabetical order and are not necessarily indicative of dance order.

ETA2: Via Disney ABC, the rest of the dances have been filled in. Also, get ready for a fun opening number which Judge Len Goodman will take part in.

The premiere will kick off with an exciting opening number featuring head judge Len Goodman and the entire cast of โ€œDancing with the Stars,โ€ choreographed by the showโ€™s own Emmy-winning Mandy Moore.

ETA3: And this is why I love Cheryl – she always shares when she’s dancing. ๐Ÿ™‚

ETA4: I’ve put the dances in order per Tom’s tweet based on a hunch by DWTS fan Claire. Seems like a good hunch to me, but note it could be off base. ๐Ÿ™‚ Seems like a good guess, though, since it puts Nick and Vanessa at the top of the hour, Cheryl opening the show, Mark/Lindsey close to the end. Nikki in the pimp spot would be interesting though. Perhaps she’s really good? Or have they designated Artem as the pro who should win this season? Read more..

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

Q & As With DWTS Gleb Savchenko, Sasha Pieterse, Lindsay Arnold, And Jordan Fisher

I haven’t listened to these in full yet. Let us know if they mention their dances for the first week….

Creative Arts Emmys Interviews With DWTS Mandy Moore, Derek Hough, And Sharna Burgess

Loving these new interviews with Kristyn Burtt. Sharna Burgess talks on her new Dancing With The Stars partner Derek Fisher and gives hints on how he will dance (I love love love the return of Sharna’s long hair). It’s so good to hear from Derek Hough and his thoughts on the new season. Don’t miss more with him at Pure Derek Hough.
