Frankie Muniz Says He’s Had An Amazing First Week Of Rehearsing For DWTS

Frankie Muniz told US Weekly that his biggest fear of doing Dancing With The Stars is “dancing in public”, but, he’s had an “amazing” week of rehearsing. Read on. I love his positivity….

Muniz has turned to previous competitors for advice. “I’ve had a bunch of friends that have done the show and everyone has said this is so much fun and it looks like a blast,” he told Us. “Honestly, this last week of rehearsals has been amazing. I feel like I’ve learned a lot and I’m progressing.”

The Emmy nominee’s pro partner, Witney Carson, has been giving him some tough love already. “I told her when I met her, ‘Don’t go easy on me. Obviously I’ve never danced. If you tell me to do something, I don’t know what it is,'” he said. “I’d rather it be serious, even though we have so much fun in the rehearsals. We are always laughing and joking around, but when it’s time to dance, we get through it. I’ll think I did good and she’ll be like, ‘Nope, your shoulders droop.’ So we do it again. But I love it, I really do.”

PureDWTS Season 25 – Preliminary Power Rankings

So I haven’t done one of these in quite a few seasons, and some of you asked if I was ever gonna bring it back. Well the mood struck me, so here it is – but I’ve switched up the format a bit. This season is a bit unique, as I don’t see anyone that appears to be an automatic early out; last season, most of us called Chris Kattan as the first out before we ever even saw him dance. This time around, things are a lot less finite – I’m not as resolute in who I think will do poorly vs. who I think will do well, and I think a lot is going to depend on who can and cannot endear themselves to the audience.  So instead of ranking the couples 1-13 in a finite order of elimination (where some of the smart asses that lurk and troll here are bound to comment “lolololol ur rankings were sooooooo wrong LMAO *crying laughing face*” when they don’t match up perfectly with the elims), I’ve broken them up into four tiers based on how well I think they’ll do. Keep in mind that they are in no particular order WITHIN each tier – just because I have Nikki listed before Victoria & Drew does not mean I necessarily think she’ll do better than them, etc. Likewise, Barbara & Keo being lower than Sasha & Gleb doesn’t mean I think she’ll do worse than them. The only things that matter in these rankings are the tiers 🙂 Read more..

Ultrasound sales specialist by day, semi-knowledgeable DWTS fan by night...with a smattering of hair & makeup enthusiast, occasional model, baker, and crazy cat lady peppered in to make things REALLY interesting ;-) I might pee my pants in happiness if Donnie Wahlberg ever does DWTS - or if they ever use "Sunglasses at Night" as a paso doble.

Lindsay Arnold And Jordan Fisher Talk On Dancing With The Stars And Their Rehearsals So Far

Below is Lindsay Arnold and Jordan Fisher talking on their rehearsals for Dancing With The Stars. I’m so excited on these two. Bring it on!

ETA: Billboard interviewed Jordan on Dancing With The Stars. Here’s a take from the link where he talks of being billed as a favorite and more.

“I’ve had a handful of friends that have been on this journey before, and they’ve all said the same thing — that it’s just the most wonderful, fulfilling experience,” Fisher tells Billboard of joining the celebrity dance competition. “[They say that] you make such great friends, and they last for forever, and if [the offer] ever comes to you, you have to say yes.”

That “yes” has been a long time coming. Fisher says the series initially reached out to him about competing several seasons ago, but scheduling conflicts got in the way. “I just hoped that [the series] would come back around, and it finally did,” Fisher adds.

A spot on the show seems like a natural next step for Fisher, who has been a performer since joining his local children’s theater company in Birmingham, Alabama in elementary school. After catching a big break as a guest star on iCarly, Fisher went on to land roles in The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Teen Wolf, before snagging is breakout part as Doody in Grease: Live. Since then, Fisher has taken on the dual roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in Hamilton and popped up on the Moana soundtrack, where he contributed a version of “You’re Welcome” with Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Fisher says he’s fully aware that he’s being billed as a favorite on Dancing With The Stars this season, but maintains that he has just as much to learn as the other competitors, which include Frankie Muniz, Nick and Vanessa Lachey, Derek Fisher and Pretty Little Liars’ Sasha Pieterse.

“I grew up in theater, I grew up dancing a lot, but I have zero ballroom experience. So I think that a lot of people have a skewed representation of what I’m coming in to the competition with,” says Fisher, who will perform alongside professional dancer Lindsay Arnold. “Yes, I am comfortable with my body, and I can dance, but this is nothing like I’ve ever done before… I’m learning basics and starting from the ground, just like everybody else.”

Fisher also admits that he’s already had a fanboy moment or two at rehearsals: he was “really excited” to meet competitor Derek Fisher, as well as Drew Scott of The Property Brothers. “I love HGTV, so he and I clicked pretty quickly,” Fisher adds.
