Now this is a tricky one, because I can’t really tell if these outlets are just recycling through intel from past seasons, or if Jonathan is actually a possibility, considering both brothers were asked to do DWTS back in season 25 last fall, but Jonathan was too busy:
Jonathan Scott may be considering trading his work boots for dancing shoes.
The 40-year-old is being urged by brother Drew Scott to appear on the upcoming season of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. Drew danced on the show in season 25 and made it to the finals.
Speaking with Hollywood Life about the show, Drew said: ‘Everyone wants to know. I’m pushing him. I want him to do it.’
The article goes on to talk about some good-natured rivalry between the brothers over who would do better on the show, and the Daily Mail parrots the same “no athletes this season” line that Good Housekeeping was reporting a month or so ago – which I’m extremely skeptical about, because I could see a season with zero athletes being…well, kind of boring, because having athletes guarantees you’ll have at least a few folks with the stamina & strength to do well. Athletes (particularly NFL stars) also seem to be open to the idea of DWTS, so if they’re cutting off that casting lifeline this season, good luck finding some halfway-decent competitors. But I digress…
…do I think Jonathan is doing DWTS? Ehhh…I won’t say it’s a complete impossibility, because he was originally the brother they wanted for season 25; but it also feels a bit too recent to have Jonathan do the show and have it feel fresh & exciting. Guess we’ll see…

Drew Scott has lost 27 pounds while getting ready for Dancing With The Stars. He says he’s in the shape of his life. His brother Jonathan says Drew is very competitive. So, watch out. From People…..
“I have a strong understanding of how to adjust eating and workout habits to maximize health gains,” Scott says.
While he typically is rushed for meals during Property Brothers filming, Scott says he’s making a point to eat better during DWTS.
“Our filming schedule is crazy busy, which means not always getting the chance to eat well and workout regularly,” he says. “However upon agreeing to do DWTS, I started cutting out any of the bad foods (pizza…I miss you!!), reduced the size of meals I was eating and started doing more regular weight training, cardio and yoga.”
When the show premieres on Sept. 18, expect a slimmed-down Scott moving and grooving to “Our House” by Madness. And his twin brother Jonathan will be cheering him on from the sidelines.
“He’s very competitive, so he’ll do well. If anyone can whip him into shape, it will be Emma,” Jonathan previously told PEOPLE. “She just makes it fun and she knows how to win, so let’s go for two Mirror Balls in a row!”

Daily Disruption has compiled a list of rumored stars that are dancing in Dancing With The Stars Season 24. HOWEVER, before you read this list, note how they list Peta Murgatroyd as a possible celebrity to dance too. LOL. I’d take this list with a HUGE grain of salt. Let us know what you think in comments. The latest line up has not been confirmed yet, but the 24th season will definitely be a big one. The show is celebrating its 400th episode and producers are promising a lot of great things. According to US Blasting News, Bachelor’s Nick Viall may make the list.
He is not the only one confirmed in the Dancing With The Stars Season 24 Cast as the show is very open about announcing the latest additions. Other cast members are Barry Weiss from Storage Wars, Peta Murgatroyd, Jonathan Scott from Property Brothers, and even comedian Russell Brand. The rumors have noted Ashley Benson and Olympic Gymnast Simone Biles.
While Simone Biles is game to join the show, as she could not last year, Pretty Little Liars actress Ashley Benson has not been confirmed. Professional dancer Mark Ballas followed her on Twitter. So far that’s the only evidence fans have that she may be in the running as a cast member.

The executive producer of “Dancing With the Stars”, Deena Katz, wants Rob Gronkowski “The Gronk” to dance in the new season of Dancing With The Stars. However, she’s having trouble getting him to commit.
“I think for many reasons he’d be great,” Katz told our Left Coast correspondent during the Television Critics Association press tour. “He’s great on camera. I think he gets it. I do think he can dance. And I think that the fan base that that team has is great for someone like him to be on it.”
Gronk has admitted that ABC’s mega-popular dance competition has wooed him in the past, but he just won’t commit. Katz hinted that the reason might be that either the twinkle-toed tight end or the Pats’ brass are afraid their oft-injured star might trip while tripping the light fantastic and hurt himself.
“I know people are concerned about him being injured. We had the best running back and the Super Bowl MVP on our show last season and we take very good care of them,” she said.

Jonathan Coachman – According to the Miami Herald, ESPN reporter and WWE star mentioned he wanted to do Dancing With The Stars.
During the Sunday afternoon (July 17) radio show “The Coach & Bretos” on ESPN Radio and the ESPN App, co-host The Coach Jonathan Coachman said he wanted to participate on one of his favorite televisions shows, “Dancing with the Stars,” on ESPN’s sister network ABC.
I have to admit…. I think I’d like to see this.
Slugger the Sea Dog – Who, you ask? Well, according to WMTW, Slugger is campaigning to become the first-ever mascot to participate on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.” Be sure to see the video at this link. Dancing With The Stars Season 1’s John O’Hurley is campaigning for this to happen as well.
Slugger is known for his outrageous dancing during Portland Sea Dogs games. He now wants to show his talents to a national audience.
In a video, Maine-native John O’Hurley, who appeared on season 1 of “Dancing with the Stars,” appears with Slugger to introduce the idea.
“Nobody is a bigger fan of the Sea Dogs than I am, and nobody is a bigger fan of ballroom dancing that I am,” O’Hurley said.

Outside of the boxing rings, the talented middleweight is getting more used to being an attraction. T-Rex, a documentary about her route to the London Olympics, just premiered on PBS. Shields wants to be on TV more often, and not just to play herself.
“My agent has a lot of things going back at home,” she said. “Right now, I guess some things are in the works. I wanna be an actress. That’s what I wanna do. I also want to be a dominant boxer. Who knows if I come back for 2020.
“But, also, I will be in acting. Hopefully I can do things like Dancing with the Stars. I mean, I’m down for all that stuff. I think I can dance a little bit [laughs]. I’m just taking this journey as far as I can take it. I believe that I’m going to be a household name after this Games.”
