As I was getting ready for the premiere of Dancing with the Stars season 10, I decided to upload all of the DWTS season 10 cast pictures so we could use them in our blogging throughout the season. There’s some really amazing pictures even if they did photoshop some of them a bit much.

I previously posted a DWTS 2010 poll to predict the winner of Dancing with the Stars 2010. We’ve had quite a few votes and it’s pretty clear who the 2 most popular stars are on this season of Dancing with the Stars. Looks like right now it’s Evan Lysacek and Nicole Scherzinger’s competition to lose. Here’s the full results to illustrate this fact:

I actually think the battle between Evan and Nicole is going to be epic. I predict that those 2 will reach the highest level of dancing that we’ve seen on any season of Dancing with the Stars. Plus, one or two other dancers are going to just surprise us with their superior dancing ability. My prediction is on Aiden Turner’s dancing keeping him in longer than expected. Will be nice for Edyta to have someone who can dance. At least that’s my prediction.

The 10th season of DWTS is upon us. As I started thinking about the new season of DWTS I started getting really excited that it’s back. This break seemed far too long for my liking. On that note, I thought I’d list the things I’m most excited anout the upcoming season and make some predictions.

The first is actually both. I predict that Chad Ochocinco is going to be way out there in what he says and does. This is going to make a lot of fans of the show absolutely hate him. I on the other hand will enjoy every minute of it. Every time Chad opens his mouth it’s pure entertainment.

I predict that the first Baywatch/and or huge chest joke about Pam will happen in the first episode. Honestly, I want my old baywatch babe back.

Edyta. Yummy!! Nuff said.

I predict we’ll have at least 3 male dancers with their shirts off in the first episode.

I’m excited to see Brooke host the show with Tom. Not because I think Brooke will be amazing (like Tom). She just better not let me down and be worse than Samantha. I’ve always known that change isn’t always better, but I think this one will be.

11 couples. We all know that there were far too many last season.

New dancers. I’ve hears people talk about these 2 new [to me] pros and I’m looking forward to see if they can live up to what people have said.

This one’s a no brainer. We’re going to have another Olympian in the finals and a pop star. Despite the ringer status, I’m fine with both of them making it.

Great dancing. Seems like forever since there’s been great dancing on TV. I need DWTS and SYTYCD to coordinate their schedules so that one of them is always on. Will never happen, but I can hope. Oh yeah, the pro dances. I can’t wait for that too.

Ok, so what are your predictions and what’s getting you excited for DWTS 2010?

When I moved Pure DWTS to the new server, I decided I’d try out a new commenting system for the site as well. I think that people will like the new comments because they have cool things like replies to other people’s comments, avatar’s, and lots of other little features that I’m sure you’ll figure out over time.

There are still a lot of tweaks I can make to the comment system. So, if something really annoys you about it, I can try and improve it. Overall, I think it will provide a better platform for discussion of topics. It should also help the site to load faster. This should be especially true in threads with a TON of comments.

Let me know what you think of the changes. We’re all ready for the premiere of Dancing with the Stars 2010.

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to let you know that tonight I’ll be moving Pure DWTS over to a new server. I’m not sure exactly how long it will take. I’ll be starting the move at about 9 PST. Then, it is possible that it will take up to 6 hours to propagate the changes to your computer. Have no fear. We aren’t going anywhere and it will come back. We’re just making the move so that we’re ready for the explosion of traffic when DWTS 2010 premieres.

No need to change anything on your end. Just hoping to let you know what’s happening if you see the site down tonight.

Everyone probably knows by now that here at Pure Dancing with the Stars we try to list all of the music used on Dancing with the Stars. Don’t believe me? In fact, that link will continue to update with the latest Dancing with the Stars 2010 music as the season progresses. So, bookmark it and come back regularly.

Each year, I like to do a post about the music I’d like to see on the next season of DWTS. However, this year I decided that I’d let the readers of Pure DWTS make their lists and then I’ll plan on highlighting those lists of possible DWTS 2010 music in a future post. Now that we know the stars that will be on Dancing with the Stars 2010, it’s time for you to vote for the Dancing with the Stars 2010 winner. Yes, I know it’s early to be voting for the stars when you haven’t even seen them dance, but that’s never stopped us before. Ever since Samantha Harris got kicked off left Dancing with the Stars there has been a lot of speculation about who will replace as Samantha as the co-host of Dancing with the Stars. I think the speculation is finally over, but here’s a review of the various possibilities in case you missed it.

We first talked about Melissa Rycroft hosting Dancing with the Stars at the beginning of this month. There were also rumors of Ashlan Gorse and Nancy O’Dell hosting Dancing with the Stars and Lynn Hoffman co-hosting DWTS alongside Tom Bergeron. There were also rumors about Brooke Burke, Marie Osmond (thank goodness this wasn’t true), and Paula Abdul. Luckily, last week E! News said there were only 3 serious contenders for the co-host position: Melissa Rycroft, Brooke Burke and Vanessa Minnillo.

Although, tonight during a commercial for the Bachelor finale, they talked about the announcement of the new Dancing with the Stars 2010 cast during the Bachelor finale. Heidi will be live blogging the announcement, but more on that soon.

What was most interesting about the commercial was that they said, “listen to Tom Bergeron and Melissa Rycroft as they announce the new couples on Dancing with the Stars.” Does this mean that Melissa Rycroft will be the host that’s replacing Samantha Harris on Dancing with the Stars? Seems like it to me. She’ll be a busy girl hosting Dancing with the Stars with Tom and as a special correspondent for Entertainment Tonight. Although, Samantha Harris did that for quite a while.

I think this will be a good thing for Dancing with the Stars. No doubt that Melissa Rycroft will be an upgrade at the host position.

We’ve written a number of times in the past about Dancing with the Stars having so many injuries. Some people speculated it was some sort of curse on Dancing with the Stars or something crazy. That’s really crazy talk to me. Dancing is very physical and so injuries are just a part of the environment. Especially when we’re talking about people who don’t dance, dancing this much.

Maybe the curse isn’t injuries, but is instead legal problems after being on the show. This past week it was reported that both Michael Irvin and Warren Sapp were having legal troubles. A woman is claiming that Michael Irvin raped her 2 years ago in a Florida hotel room. Her suit against him is amazingly timed during the circus that is the Super Bowl. Michael has countersued the woman saying that he lost his job as an announcer with ESPN radio because of the false accusations. Here’s some details from Michael’s side:

In his complaint, Irvin claims Mustafa “signed not one (1) but two (2) waivers of prosecution,” on July 21, 2007, “the day after opening a file with the Police Department.”
He claims, “The Seminole Police Department found Mustafa’s claims un-credible and stopped actively investigating the file over two (2) years ago.”
Irvin claims Mustafa “decided to take another shot” at him “(a)fter seeing Irvin’s success on Dancing with the Stars and his new show Fourth and Long.”
The complaint states, “It is typical for fame-seekers to attack celebrities of Irvin’s stature to try and make a quick buck. …

Warren Sapp was charged with domestic battery in South Florida and was not part of the NFL network’s Super Bowl coverage as an analyst because of the charge. Here’s the allegations against Sapp:

The victim had a swollen knee and bruises on her neck, according to an arrest affidavit. She told detectives that she was partying with Sapp and her friends at the hotel and asked for his room key when she grew tired. Sapp reportedly woke up the victim a few hours later and they started to argue. She told investigators that Sapp started to choke her and pushed her down on a couch.

As the argument escalated, Sapp grabbed the woman by her shirt and neck and threw her down again, the affidavit states.

Sapp told investigators that he let the woman stay in his room but asked her to leave a few hours later. He told police that the woman fell on her leg when he tried to help her get off a couch.

It’s hard to make a judgement against either person since we don’t know all the facts. No doubt Michael Irvin is known as a ladies man. I’ve heard him talk a few times about parties back in his Cowboys days and the number of women they’d have there. However, that doesn’t mean he raped this girl. It’s also not hard to see a 300 lb Sapp with a little alcohol doing something and not even realizing it. It’s too bad for both individuals since they were such high class celebrities on DWTS. I’m sure this will all work itself out in the courts.

This isn’t the first time a past DWTS celebrity has had trouble with the law. You might remember that Helio Castroneves was charged with tax evasion He was later acquitted on 6 counts of tax evasion, but was hung on one count of conspiracy.
