Interesting. E Online has a new article up claiming Candace Cameron Bure and Nene Leakes are part of the new cast for Dancing With The Stars. Below is take from the link….

We all know Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes and Full House star Candace Cameron Bure can hold their own at a pajama party…but can they survive the Dancing with the Stars ballroom?

Looks like we get to find out!

ABC does not comment on casting rumors, however multiple sources tell E! News exclusively that Leakes and Bure have been cast in the upcoming 18th season of DWTS, set to premiere March 17.

So, what do you think? Also, if true, who do you see them dancing with?

DWTS Season 18: Rumor, Speculation and Wannabe Dancer Round Up!!

It’s time, once again, to take a look at the casting rumors we’ve seen for this upcoming season and rank them according to how likely they are to happen. I was thinking we really didn’t have many rumors for this season, but it turns out there’s more than I thought.  But there are also a lot of people saying they would LOVE to do it, which is not the same thing as a “rumor”.  And I also have NOT included who OTHER people would like to see dance – that’s not even a wannabe. Anyway, here we go….

ETA2: Lots of updates! Read our complete list below…and here’s to the Cast Announcement on Tuesday! Read more..

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

DWTS18 Or Future Watchout: Jaclyn Smith Would Love To Do Dancing With The Stars

Well, this might be nothing being Jaclyn Smith said she declined an offer to do Dancing With The Stars in the past because of a bone spur. However, on February 18th she tweeted, “Dance and opportunity will dance with you.” Makes one kind of wonder if she’s ok to dance now or maybe in the future? Here is more on Jaclyn’s bone spur and her thoughts on doing Dancing With The Stars from Closer Weekly in December. Thanks to KarenT for the heads up. I’d love to see her dance…but, I bet her bone spur hasn’t healed up quite yet to dance. What do you think?

Charlie’s Angels star Jaclyn Smith shares in this week’s issue of Closer Weekly her plans for upcoming projects, life after Farrah and the TV show on her bucket list.

The 68-year-old reveals she is seriously considering doing Dancing With the Stars! “They have asked me and I would love to do it!” Jaclyn, who used to be a dancer, shares in the new issue of Closer.

Unfortunately, due to an injury, she had to decline their last offer but she is open to participating sometime down the road.

“I had a bone spur removed from my foot and I’m having a little trouble. It would be a perfect fit given I come from that background, but my standards are very high and I would want to do it right!”

DWTS18 Watchout: Cody Simpson Still In Talks To Do Dancing With The Stars

According to Just Jared. Jr., Cody Simpson is still in talks to do Dancing With The Stars. Below is more…

“We haven’t confirmed anything,” Cody told JJJ. “We’re still talking about it, and I’m still trying to get opinions and figure out if I should do it. But it’s a cool opportunity, so we’ll see where it goes.”

If he does accept the offer, Cody says he’s pretty confident in his abilities. “I dance on stage all the time, so I don’t know how I’d do as far as ballroom and stuff, but hopefully I would get some practice in and it would be good for me.”

To read the full article, see Just Jared. Jr.. I think he’d be fun. I hope he does the show!!

Erin Andrews to Replace Brooke Burke?? DWTS Season 18

Oh lord, no. From “The Big Lead”. Thanks to @DWTSGossip for the heads up on this…I think.

Erin Andrews, the Fox Sports sideline reporter, is going to be the new co-host of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, two sources tell The Big Lead. The network is expected to make the announcement Monday. An ABC spokesperson didn’t return a call Saturday evening seeking comment.

ABC announced Friday that Brooke Burke, who had been Tom Bergeron’s co-host on DWTS for the last seven seasons, would be leaving the show.

Andrews is not leaving Fox Sports, sources say. She will continue her sports duties – sideline reporting, hosting – for Fox, and co-host Dancing with the Stars on ABC during the week. Michael Strahan of Fox Sports has a similar deal – he co-hosts “Live with Kelly and Michael” during the week for ABC.

Sorry, I haven’t liked Andrews since she was all “mean girl” on DWTS. I don’t see it changing with her as host. But I do sense an opportunity for Courtney and I…. :-)  But still, I’m going to pray that “the Big Lead” is full of crap. Or a spoof site and I missed it. Or drinking too much. Or something. ;-)

ETA: People.com jumps on the Erin rumor bandwagon. As I told someone in the comments, it’s not truly “official” until ABC updates their website or announces it in some other way.

It’s time to welcome a new host to the ballroom.

Erin Andrews will replace Brooke Burke-Charvet as the host of Dancing with the Stars, a source confirms to PEOPLE.

The FOX Sports reporter, 35, will take over as Tom Bergeron’s co-host for season 18 of ABC’s dancing competition. Andrews is no stranger to the series, having competed on season 10 ofDWTS with pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

ETA2: This is sweet. KTLA did a tribute to Brooke on their show today…. Read more..

DWTS18 Watchout: Olympic Silver Medalist Noelle Pikus-Pace Would Like To Try Dancing With The Stars

The Examiner has posted a new interview with Olympic silver medalist Noelle Pikus-Pace. They ask her if she’d do Dancing With The Stars in part of the interview. Just in case she might get a “call”, we thought we better mention this because you never know.

And because random questions are fun, might we ever see you on “Dancing with the Stars”?

Pikus-Pace: Hey, who knows? Give me a call. Let me try it out. [Laughs]

I’d rather producers pick an ice skater(s), but, she might be a cool get too. What do you think?

DWTS18 Watchout: The Bachelor’s Juan Pablo Not Asked To Do Dancing With The Stars

Remember when we previously reported for how Juan Pablo Galavis might dance? Well, according to Whio.com via Reality Steve it’s a no go. He hasn’t been asked …yet anyway….

Reality Steve revealed in his weekly video blog chat thing that Juan Pablo will not be on Dancing With the Stars next season, despite his declaration to Mario Lopez the week of his premiere, “I like dancing a lot.” With such a strong expression of emotions, we’re surprised ABC didn’t scoop him right up then and there to shake his bon-bon (Ricky Martin!) on TV. Except that we’re not at all surprised. See, his homophobic comments, saying that it wouldn’t be good for children to watch a gay Bachelor because they are “more pervert,” happened.

And according to Reality Steve, that was enough not only for the network to ask Juan Pablo not to attend Sean and Catherine’s wedding, but also to nix him from consideration for DWTS.

You can read the full article at Whio.com via Reality Steve.

I can’t say I am disappointed in this news. How about you?

DWTS Season 18: What is the Answer to Dan Cortese’s Hypothetical?

Please note that he put the word hypothetical in quotes. Please also note the hashtag. Questions like this, at this time of year, are very interesting indeed. I vote YES to DWTS. :-)  So, just how “hypothetical” do you think this is? Well, there’s no way he was asked to be bachelor – that doesn’t film until probably October or something and they usually pick a guy from the upcoming season of The Bachelorette. So, is that camouflage?  Does Dan always ask strange hypothetical questions? I have no idea – but I’m putting it out there in case he ends up on the show. :-) We had him as a rumor way back in Season 9, apparently.

DWTS18 Watchout: Meryl Davis And Charlie White Remark Again On Dancing With The Stars

Let’s continue to keep a ‘watch out’ on Olympic Gold Metalists Meryl Davis and Charlie White to possibly dance now or in the future on Dancing With The Stars. People.com is featuring a new article where they mention Dancing With The Stars and how the two would like to dance if asked. Below is a take….

2. They would be willing to appear on Dancing with the Stars
It’s no secret that Dancing with the Stars’s Derek Hough choreographed their Olympic routine, but it may be less-known that the Olympians would be honored to appear on the show themselves. “If we were asked to be on that show, I think we would be really excited for that opportunity for sure,” Davis said in the same teleconference.

You can listen to the conference call below….

ETA: US Magazine interview Meryl and Charlie. In the take below they talk of Dancing With The Stars and their dream partners….

If they were to appear on DWTS, it would be the first time in 17 years that the five-time national champs would compete against each other. “It would be great,” White said laughing while Davis quipped, “It would be a lot of fun.”

As for dream partners? Davis said she would stick with Hough while White asked, “Is it too late to get his sister [Julianne Hough] back on the show?!”

“We’ve spoken about that!” Davis remarked. “If I could dance with Derek and he could dance with Julianne, that would be so fun.”

If the DWTS idea falls through, both dancers will stick with their original plan: to finish their studies at the University of Michigan “as soon as possible,” White said. “Right now we’re just enjoying the moment and our schedules moving forward I’m sure are going to be crazy, and hectic, and fun! But we’ll settle all that soon and we’re really looking forward to finishing our undergraduate degrees.”
