I think Sharna Burgess might have followed Russell Wilson a few weeks ago, but, again….it makes one wonder if this is a serious partnership in the making for Dancing With The Stars Season 20? Thanks to Lauren for the heads up.
ETA: In my haste to post this before going to bed, I quoted the much more inflammatory Enstarz instead of the original article from the Examiner. In my wide awake mind, I usually know better than to go with the latter, instead of the former. Anyway, as you see from the original article, it’s clearly just talk and Enstarz was blowing it up.
Sounds to me like “just talk” about possibly doing it in the future – her fans make it a thousand times worse by taking every casual comment as an affirmation (perhaps they don’t read past the title or first sentence). But, since it’s that time of year, I figured I would post it and say “I don’t think so, but anything is possible” for this season. And also point out that Vogue had the lead on this one more than two months ago, thanks to one of our awesome readers. From The Examiner:
Speaking of competitiveness, your “Pretty Little Liars” co-star Janel [Parrish] did pretty well on “Dancing with the Stars” last year. Would you ever want to do that?
Mitchell: You know, I do love dancing and I do love watching “Dancing with the Stars.” If that were to ever come up, who knows? You never know. Right now, I’m loving watching it on TV and Janel did a great job.
She did. She was fabulous.
Mitchell: They were amazing.
Who would you pick, of all of the male pros, if you could pick one as your partner?
Mitchell: I’d probably go with Val [Chmerkovskiy, who was also Parrish’s partner]. He’s a good friend of mine. I’d team up with Val and we’d bring home the trophy [laughs].
Large word of caution – this is based on very, very little. Thing is, last time we posted something similar, Cody Simpson really did dance. And the last time I ignored something like this, I shouldn’t have (Hines Ward). And you can’t deny the timing is about right. So, this from Shane Harper – many of his fans immediately assumed DWTS. Thing is, this guy is an actual trained dancer – if he’s actually cast, he would be a massive ringer. Also FYI – he’s apparently VERY tall.
P.S. There is a Shane Harper that is a hockey player but I checked several times to make sure I had the right one. This one is 6 foot plus, 21-year old singer, dancer actor. I can’t believe they would cast someone who is well trained enough to claim to be “Principle Dancer” in a variety of TV shows and movies, but consider his age and the producers obsession with the youth demo. That said, he can’t touch the online following of either Cody or James.
DWTS Season 20 Watchout: Patriot’s Rob Gronkowski Says He’s Healthy To Dance On Dancing With The Stars
Dancing With The Stars has asked Rob Gronkowski to dance in the past. Being he’s been hurt in the off seasons, he’s always said no, but, this season might be different being he’s healthy. Check out this fun convo with Rob and Jimmy Kimmel at the 1:39 mark. Thanks to DWTSgossip for another great find. I say bring him on. Hubby definitely agrees and says he’d be funny!
What an interesting find by DWTSgossip!! If you head to The Star Phoenix, you can watch a new interview with Ex-UFC champ Anderson Silva. He talks of really wanting to make a difference and “giving back”. Not sure where this fits on the rumor scale, but, I say, bring him on. What do you think?
POSTMEDIA: You were announced as the next coach of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil. Which other reality-TV show would you do better in: So You Think You Can Dance or American Idol?
SILVA: (Laughs) I think the next goal in the United States is to go win Dancing With The Stars (laughs).
I saw this one thanks to @DWTSGossip – I’ve not had time to do my usual twitter scan the last two days. So what say you all? Rosanne?? I say: why not?? You may remember that she was rumored way back in Season 13 – has she had that hip replacement?
And what do you call a rumor when it’s started by the object of the rumor??
Just a little something to watch out for just in case. The Souix City Journal is reporting Kenya Moore of Celebrity Apprentice would “absolutely” do Dancing With The Stars. Here is a take from the link…
Rivera says the key to competing on “Apprentice” is to ignore editing and shrug off complaints. “People will work against you. It’s just the nature of the beast.”
Raising money for charity, he says, is most important.
“I don’t know if I’d do another reality show after this.”
“Dancing With the Stars” has asked him repeatedly and he has said no.
Moore, however, says she’d be game for a “Stars” run. “I’m an amazing dancer,” she says. “I was trained from the age of 6. I would absolutely do it and, yes, I would want to win. In everything I do, I play to win.”
So, what do you think? Would she be a good one? Let us know in comments!!
Heads up!! Maybe it’s nothing and maybe it’s something, but, Dancing With The Stars pro Sharna Burgess was teasing on Dancing With The Stars Season 20 with this instagram (below) last night. With the photo, she captioned it with, “#sharnawink 😉 getting excited for season 20!!!!!!” What’s more, fans started tweeting that they wanted her paired with rumored Seattle Seahawk’s quarterback Russell Wilson. You might remember him telling Karina Smirnoff that he’d do Dancing With The Stars if the Seahawk’s won the Super bowl. To make things even more exciting, Yahoo News (Thanks Nathan for the tip) reached out to his reps. None of them commented immediately, but, a source tells them “They made a deal a couple months back that if he wins the 2015 Super Bowl, he would dance as her partner for Season 20 of ‘Dancing With the Stars,'”. So, if Russell Wilson dances, who do you think he should be paired with: Karina or Sharna? All eyes on all THREE of them and THE SUPER BOWL next week!!! I love all three and I will be so happy if we get another football player to dance on Dancing With The Stars.
It seems every season, a Bachelor wants to dance or is rumored to dance. I say “no” to the idea again. What do you think? Thanks to Vin for this heads up from E News…
While the season is just getting started on ABC, Chris (aka Prince Farming!) tells E! News he’s definitely open to doing more reality TV after his run on The Bachelor comes to an end. Specifically Dancing With the Stars!
“At this point, why not?” Chris says. “I went through The Bachelorette and never thought I’d do that and did it and it was a great experience. Now being the Bachelor, it’s been an extraordinary experience.”
He continues. “I’m open to a lot of opportunities, I’d be willing to consider these sort of things. But I’m going to do what’s best for me and do what’s right and what I feel is right for my future.”
But Chris is a little nervous about one aspect of joining DWTS, telling us, “I think I need to do some yoga because watching those people and some of the stuff they do…I’m not a very flexible guy, so I am going to need to get limbered up if that’s going to happen!”
The NY Daily News is reporting that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is considering an offer to dance on Dancing With The Stars. This would be a cool get. I hope he says YES!! What do you think? And which pro do you think he should be paired with?
Ain’t that a kick in the head? Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is considering appearing on “Dancing With the Stars.”
The environmentalist’s daughter, Kick, spilled the news on her Instagram account by posting a text message marked from “Father” seeking advice on the idea.
“I just got solicited to do a show called dancing with the stars,” said the message, “They will pay me $150,000 to commit and additional $350,000 if I make it into the semifinals in a televised dance contest. I know that some of you have seen me dance and I thought it advisable to consult you as I consider this offer.”
