Hey All!! Do you have some questions you’d like to ask Sasha Farber about Dancing With The Stars??
Hey All!! Do you have some questions you’d like to ask Sasha Farber about Dancing With The Stars??
According to Hollywood Life, The Bachelorette’s Andi Dorfman might dance in Dancing With The Stars Season 19. Not only that, whoever she chooses to marry on The Bachelorette might dance as well. More below and note that this isn’t the first time we’ve had a Bachelorette rumor this season. We’re keeping a small eye on Courtney Robertson as well.
Things are heating up as Andi Dorfman, 27, continues to search for love each week on The Bachelorette. We’ve already revealed who will win the reality show, and now a source tells us Andi and the winner will appear on another reality show, competing against each other — the next season of Dancing With The Stars!
Andi Dorfman & Josh Murray On ‘Dancing With The Stars’: Will Compete In Season 19
Andi and Josh’s journey has gone from making out in Paris to falling in love super fast to shaking it on the dance floor! “She’s been asked and is also preparing to do the next season of the show,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY about Andi appearing on Dancing With The Stars.
“And there has been talk that she is going to do it with her man. They will compete against each other along with the other stars,” our source reveals. How exciting! After Josh steals Andi’s heart and ultimately proposes at the end of the season, it’ll be amazing to see the couple competing on such a fun show!
While Andi’s season airs, the star’s secretly prepping herself to win the mirror ball trophy! Could the upcoming competition be another reason she quit her job as Assistant D.A. at the Fulton County District Attorney’s office.
So, what do you think if true? I’m not sure what to think, but, I don’t think I really want anymore people from The Bachelor or the Bachelorette shows.
Heidi: Andi seems like an okay chick and so does her betrothed…but no thanks. Seriously, the producers got the perfect mix of people last season and nary a reality person to be seen. The ratings showed it. In any case, if Andi does show up it will be because they couldn’t get someone else they wanted. Kinda like Courtney said she could have been an alternate.
Will Landon Donovan or another soccer player dance In Dancing With The Stars Season 19? According to Hollywood Life, this might be a possibility? Note how Landon was rumored to dance in Season 11 as well by the same source. Like then, I think they are taking a bit of gamble …not that I would be against it. He might make a great pairing with Karina? What do you think if true?
“They have wanted Landon forever for the show,” a Dancing With The Stars insider EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. “Now that everyone is having World Cup fever and Landon was left off the team…they want him to win another trophy — the Mirror Ball trophy.”
We don’t blame the network! Athletes have a great track record for winning on the show! Landon, 32, is considered to be one of the best American soccer players off all time so who says he won’t be just as good when it comes to tangoing?
HollywoodLife.com has also learned that if Landon declines the offer, ABC still wants a soccer hunk to join the dancing duos.
“They are putting the full court press on getting him this time and will also reach out to anyone from the U.S. team that makes a name for themselves in the next month,” the insider adds. “They are very interested in making it finally happen. What better time then now?”
Hey All! Kristyn Burtt revealed some Dancing With The Stars Season 18 scoop today at her Red Carpet Closet site. She posted an instagram talking of how the show almost paired Peta Muragtroyd and Charlie White up last year. Karina was suppose to be with James Maslow. Also, Sharna Burgess was suppose to be paired with Bruce Jenner originally (which makes me wonder about him possibly dancing in season 19?). Be sure you check out fun fun tidbits here. She cracks me up with the way she did the video too. lol Go Kristyn!!
In case you haven’t heard yet, Maks Chmerkovskiy will be guest judging for India’s version of Dancing With The Stars. Thanks to @IdolXFactor1, you can watch a Good Morning America report on it below (Lara, Maks is the biggest star from the show? Really? I think they are all big stars.). Also below is a promo from India thanks to Bravo Bollywood.
Another FYI: Gleb Savchenko’s wife Elena Samodanova is a pro on the show. If you’d like to watch India’s version of Dancing With The Stars, check their official site regularly.
So you’ve seen the results for the best guest judge voting – now onto the results for the crappiest song of the season!!!
“All of Me” by John Legend (Meryl’s foxtrot) – 2
“Girl” by Pharrell (Amy & Mark’s salsa) – 1
“Can’t Remember to Forget You” by Shakira feat. Rihanna (Nene’s Argentine tango) – 1
“Dare You” by Hardwell (Amy’s freestyle) – 1
“Islands in the Stream” by Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers (James’ rumba) – 1
Votes omitted due to failure to follow the format – 2
Courtney: The two songs I thought would garner the most votes, did – and while “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems” probably didn’t do Charlie any favors…it actually started to grow on me after a second viewing Maybe it was just the enthusiasm with which he attacked it, but he made the most of a crummy song. The same cannot be said for “I Luh Ya Papi” – which the two couples dancing to clearly disliked as much as we did. It drives me nuts when J. Lo does songs like these – they just make her sound downright unintelligent, and make it seem like she’s trying to remind everyone that she’s hip and has chola street cred because she talks like this. The song is bad, no doubt – but I also don’t think Val or Maks really put their all into choreographing that duel, and thus the end result was even more lackluster. I have to roll my eyes a bit at “I Wan’na Be Like You”, because I really only added that because I saw so many Meryl fans griping about how “terrible a samba song” it was. Boo hoo, poor Princess Meryl gets saddled with one mediocre individual song the entire season – go ask Charlie how it feels to get screwed over every other week, with “Sail”, “Mo’ Money, Mo Problems”, “Wildest Moments”, etc. And James has more to gripe about with that gadawful “Gasolina” than Meryl dancing to a song from The Jungle Book. As for the write-ins? Once again hard for me to say that Meryl got screwed with her foxtrot song, because even though it wasn’t really a foxtrot, it was still one of the top 10 songs in the country at the time and the shippers (and judges) ate it right up. And anyone wanna make a bet that whoever wrote in “Dare You” was an insecure Meryl fan?
Heidi: I ain’t takin’ that bet, Courtney. Same kinda idiot who haunts Amy’s instagram to scream “Meryl and Maks!!” on every single photo that Amy posts. :::rolls eyes::: Must protect Princess Meryl at all costs!! My nickname is an inside joke…wish I could say the same for Meryl’s. But no…the pedestal is still very, very high. Meryl overcame so many obstacles on her path to victory…horrendous song choices…mean judges picking on the stellar choreography…oh, wait. ANYway, JLo was getting a lot of crap on the radio this morning for pretending to be “Jennie from the block” while staying in Manhattan. Apparently she gave 25k tickets to people in Brooklyn for her concert and half of them didn’t show up? With songs like “I luh Ya Papi” can anyone really blame them?? Yes, the song was bad (it got my vote)…but the choreographers did not help at ALL. Lord what a whimpy assed dance. The difference between “Mo Money, Mo Problems” and the “I Wan’na Be Like You” is also totally in the choreographer, IMO. Neither song is a REALLY terrible song choice (but Charlie definitely got the short end of the stick in this instance), but Sharna made the best of it while Maks couldn’t get past it. I can’t help thinking that if Derek or Mark had been handed Maks’ samba song (or JLo’s song), we would have seen some pretty creative choreography. Ah well.
Vogue: It’s so funny as when I first heard Charlie had “Sail” for a Paso Doble, I didn’t think it would work, but, it actually didn’t bother me. Give it up to Charlie and Sharna making the best of it….again as they did through out the season. Another song that just annoys me to no end anyway is “I Love Ya Pai”. I cringed through out Danica and Meryl’s Samba duel with that song. However, another song I didn’t like was “I Wanna Be Like You” for Meryl’s Samba. Awful song with a lack luster dance too. In the end, I voted for “I Wanna Be Like You” for the worst song.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy attended the 2014 Cantamessa Collection Preview at the Vertigo Sky Lounge in Chicago, Illinois. If you’d like to see more pics of Maks, see Getty Images. US Magazine is also reporting on a reunion with Meryl Davis if you’d like to read on that as well.
Some of you have been talking about this interview in comments in the Wendy Williams post. Well, if you go to 103.7 KVIL, you can listen to them interviewing Maks Chmerkovskiy this morning since he’s coming to do Ballroom With A Twist soon in Dallas. Maks talks about winning a mirror ball on Dancing With The Stars, how much it meant to him, and how much he’s changed. He mentions Derek and how he’s won so many mirror balls that it must lose that “euphoria of winning”(wha??). He’s also asked whether he’s coming back for the next season of Dancing With The Stars and he says “he doesn’t think so.” Much more at 103.7 KVIL including an interruption from Maks’ publicist (you’ll have to listen in to see why ) and more dancing talk.
If interested in seeing Ballroom With A Twist in Dallas or a city near you this summer, see this link.
PureDWTS reader Madison Taylor has written us a blog on seeing the finalists of Dancing With The Stars Season 18 in New York City on Good Morning America. She takes up close and personal…and sent us pics as well. This is a fun exciting (and “surreal”) read to say the least. Check it out. THANKS Madison!! Wonderful blog!xx
The DWTS Season 18 After Party On GMA
by Madison Taylor
Times Square was certainly buzzing with excitement as the flatbed float carrying the four final couples and dance troupe from DWTS season 18 pulled up to Good Morning America for the traditional after party! Suddenly the buzz turned to screams that could wake late morning risers in Brooklyn and then Boom! There was a confetti explosion…then there they were…
Now, I hate to sound cliché, but the only word that can truly describe what it is like to be there is ‘surreal’. After watching DWTS all season, partaking in the social media aspect of it and discussing it at work-it becomes more than just a “reality TV show”. You become attached to your favorite pros, passionate supporters of your favorite teams and truly touched by all the couples’ journeys which they share with the world on live television. Then you go to this after party and reality TV literally crosses your path in reality. Mark is taking what becomes the famous “group arrival selfie”. Meryl & Maks positively glowing, carrying their Mirrorball trophies, lead the victory walk. As they pass by, Meryl seems to be pinching herself to confirm that it’s not a dream- as am I after Maks (my favorite pro since I first saw him set foot on the dance floor in season 2) comes over and gives me a surprise kiss on the cheek!! OMG!! It’s been a week…and I’m still smiling=) Being able to congratulate Meryl and Maks in person and share this moment is almost unbelievable and absolutely fantastical! Derek is recording the entire red-carpet experience. Amy & Candace are all smiles greeting a full-house of fans. For many it was a big-time rush to see James & Peta arm in arm saying their hellos! It’s also quite moving to see the looks on their faces matching the look on the faces of the fans. It’s like everyone is for a split second on the same “Enjoy this Moment Team”. At the same time however, the dancers are doing some major mingling. Everyone was so real and so nice. You honestly needed a few minutes to absorb the realization that you just met Olympic champions, pop culture icons and some of the best dancers in the world. You just met twelve people that not only have you rather star-struck but that you genuinely respect and admire their talent, perseverance and example. Many autographs were given, pictures taken and memories made! It was great to see them all genuinely having fun together. There was no drama-just celebrating an exceptional season of hard work and outstanding dancing! At this point the four finalists go inside and talk with the GMA hosts. Outside, Artem, Jenna, Lindsay & Sasha entertained the crowds with some fancy footwork. The one song from the morning that sticks in my mind was “I’m so excited”. It was very apropos and a good anthem for the day. Every face of every person I saw was smiling and most of them were also on their phones sharing their good-morning-experience (I was guilty of that too). “Team clusters” could be identified by an assortment of creative posters that were made to showcase well wishes and congratulations! However, the true beauty was that there were no rivalries, no haters and no negative comments. It was also impressive to see members of the ‘Dance with Me’ family throughout the city excited and proud to be celebrating the big win and greeting and meeting “fellow fam”. While waiting for the final four to dance, the excitement in the air provoked random people to just start talking about DWTS or swapping pictures. Once the dancing began, although the stage was small and the moves were refined, the crowd was mesmerized. Every camera in Times Square was raised to catch every angle of every step! By the end, even the GMA hosts were grooving on the dance floor! It was truly a GREAT morning=)
