Given that we’re roughly 2 weeks out from the premiere, let’s just think of this as week negative 2 π Came up with this post to cobble together odds and ends that maybe weren’t quite enough to warrant their own post, but I wanted to share nonetheless – this may or may not become a regular feature, depending on just how often I’m finding my goat gotten by this show π ONWARD!!! Ultrasound sales specialist by day, semi-knowledgeable DWTS fan by night...with a smattering of hair & makeup enthusiast, occasional model, baker, and crazy cat lady peppered in to make things REALLY interesting ;-) I might pee my pants in happiness if Donnie Wahlberg ever does DWTS - or if they ever use "Sunglasses at Night" as a paso doble.
It was basically a DWTS reunion this past weekend here in Indy – Sharna & Terra both attended to support Hinch, and Amy was a special guest of Firestone/Bridgestone. Sharna got to ride in the 500 Festival Parade on Saturday (she & Pierson were right behind Hinch & Becky), and all three ladies walked the red carpet at the actual race on Sunday. Admittedly, it gave my cold, cold heart some serious warm fuzzies seeing Team Stop & Go reunited again, and I love that Terra has also remained close with Hinch after their season π Check out odd & assorted pix and video below – sorry for the poor quality of the video of parade telecast, all I had was my TV & my phone π Read more..

I know that we’re all ready to start Season 24, but can we all just take a couple moments and send some thoughts or prayers toward Terra? She was recently on Access Hollywood Live (video below), and revealed just how much she was hurting throughout last season. I was actually crying, and it’s the first time that I can remember Kit going over and hugging the person she was interviewing. And a BIG THANK YOU to Sasha, who is always his wonderful self, for being there for her throughout the whole season, and the times since their season ended that he’s been there for her.
Do you need a refresher for how many Mirror Balls the Pros have won? If so, read below. It’s going to be interesting if we see a Pro win Mirror Ball #3 this season or if we will see a new Pro added to the “Mirror Ball One” category?

In reflecting back on 2016, what were your Top 5 Dancing On Dancing With The Stars? This can be from the couples or Pro Performances. You can also name some Honorable Mentions if you like if you can’t stop at 5. Let us know in comments.
Here are mine in this order:
1. Derek Hough’s “Kairos” pro performance. So creative and just HOT….
2. Sharna and James’ Freestyle. Just stunningly beautiful….
3. Peta Murgatroyd and Nyle DiMarco’s Freestyle. Breathtaking and so emotional…
4. Paige Van Zant and Mark Ballas Paso Doble. So powerful and creative….
5. Calvin Johnson and Lindsay Arnold’s Freestyle. They threw everything in it, but, the kitchen sink…
Honorable Mention:
Gleb Savchenko and Jana Kramer’s “Get Down Tonight” Samba. I could have picked several of their dances, but, this was so fun and I loved Gleb’s hair. Please TPTB, make Gleb a permanent pro on this show. Last season, we only saw of glimpse of what this guy can do with his partners….
Sasha Farber and Emma Slater’s Engagement dance. So beautiful. Thanks to Cari for this reminder…

WNYpapers.com interviewed Emma Slater about new Dancing With The Stars Live Tour which begins tomorrow night. Below she talks of how thankful she is for the opportunity to dance and tour…and how cool it is to actually see their audience.
If you think about where this sport of dance was when you started, to have people come out to see you perform this dance – they’re not coming out to see you play a guitar or sing a song; they’re coming out to see you because you’re doing this dance that was not this popular 10 or 20 years ago – how do you wrap your brain around that – to see how far it’s come?
Emma Slater: That, to me, it will never cease to amaze me. It’s always going to be overwhelming when we step on stage, in particular. The TV show is different, because you can’t see your audience physically. You can feel them, if they’re physically there in the ballroom, and you can feel them online, but that’s where it’s always amazing to me. Because we actually get to see people fill auditoriums. And it’s just mind-blowing to see how such a little thing to be, my passion for dancing, has turned into a journey where I can be on stage and there can be lots of people coming to see the show, to see you dance – like you said.
I think that’s amazing. It will never be anything other than overwhelming, and I’m always going to be so grateful for that.
I never expected my life to turn out that way – that I would be given that opportunity. And we love going on tour, because we get to actually see our audience, and it’s great.
She’s so cool. More at WNYpapers.com including talk on her engagement and lots more. Great interview.

Entertainment Tonight’s Cameron Mathison went into rehearsals for the new Dancing With The Stars Live Tour. Everyone is looking good. Laurie Hernandez gives a preview of one of her costumes and more. Val Chmerkovskiy dishes on being an expectant uncle and vowing to spend more time with family. Great preview.
