I'm a fashion and music nut....and I have always loved dancing too of any kind. Dancing With The Stars seems to have this way of bringing all of those things together. Derek Hough (one of my favorite dancers) said at a recent Get Healthy event that ‘dancing’ is an outward expression of what is going on inside you. He says that in some ways, everyone dances and it's so true. To TPTB, how about Sam Palladio's "Fade Into You" (this version sung by WilUnleashed) for a V. Waltz?

New Intimate Brooke Burke-Charvet Special Premieres Thursday, June 20th On E!!

Hey All! Just a TV heads up on Brooke Burke-Charvet!! Thursday, June 20th, E! will be airing a new intimate interview with the Dancing With The Stars co-host in her family’s Malibu, CA home. Her husband David is also on tap. She’ll talk of her career, her cancer scare, being a wife and working Mom, and much more. Below are some more details from TV Broadway World.

It’s been a long road for the glamorous star since her childhood days as a tomboy in Tucson, Arizona, but Brooke Burke-Charvet has certainly become a working wife and mom who truly does it all. Brooke shares her journey with Giuliana, including some surprising recollections of her not-so-feminine girlhood adventures. She also speaks openly about her first marriage to plastic surgeon Garth Fisher, the birth of their two beautiful daughters, and what ultimately led to their divorce. And she recalls her crazy days traveling the world as the bikini-clad host of E!’s “Wild On!,” and talks about the unseen sidekick who traveled everywhere with her during those years – her first born daughter, Neriah. Brooke took the term “working mom” to a new level as she toted the toddler along for every unpredictable adventure – a trip to the jungles of Belize included!

Brooke’s husband, actor David Charvet (“Baywatch,” “Melrose Place”) joins Giuliana and his wife to share the romantic details of how they reconnected years after a love affair in Mexico. They address their controversial decision to remove their kids from traditional school and build a classroom at home in what used to be their basement. Giuliana is even treated to a tour of the classroom!

In the fall of 2013 during her sixth season as co-host of “Dancing With The Stars,” Brooke was riding high when she was blind-sided by a thyroid cancer diagnosis. She recounts to Giuliana the extreme mental duress she endured following the diagnosis and how she managed to stay strong for her family. Plus she shares how that experience – perhaps the worst of her life – made her marriage stronger than ever.

Should be good!! Be sure to watch “Brooke Burke-Charvet” on Thursday, June 20th at 10 PM ET/PT ONLY ON E!

Dancing With The Stars Pros Help Raise Thousands For Covenant Hospice

This past weekend, Dancing With The Stars pros Tony Dovolani, Karina Smirnoff, Tristan MacManus, Val Chmerkovski, Oksana Dmytrenko , Sasha Farber, and Emma Slater helped to raise over $12,000 dollars for Covenant Hospice at the 5th annual ‘Life’s a Dance’ event in Pensacola, Florida. You can view a few segments of the event and some coverage at ABC3 here and here.

PureDWTS reader Gail sent us some personal coverage as well. Below is Tristan with the ladies of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Pensacola. Gail tells us Tristan was sunburned, but, he was still in fine dancing form as you can see.

Fan Angela Anderson also attended the event. She’s been posting some awesome video coverage at her You Tube page of some of the dances. For instance, below is Oksana and Val!

However, it was not all work and no play for our pros!! There was some time for relaxing and fun in the Florida sun too. For instance, Emma Slater has been posting some breathtaking photos of she and Sasha enjoying some beach time. Be sure to take a look. They are beautiful and the white sand is so inviting. I am so in the mood to go to Florida again now. Who’s with me?

Special thanks to Gail and Angela for all the fantastic video coverage of this event. xx

For Now, No Plans For Dancing With The Stars LIVE In Las Vegas

According to the Las Vegas Weekly, there are no plans to reopen a Dancing With The Stars LIVE show in Las Vegas even after the Tropicana redesigned the stage for production requirements. Below is more in detail.

The beautifully redesigned Tropicana Theater will not serve as the home for the stage version of “Dancing With the Stars.” At one point the production was expected to set up for an extended residency beginning in August, but is instead moving its equipment out of the hotel. The chief reason for the room’s lavish redesign was to satisfy the production requirements of that show. No word, yet, as to the why of it all, or what is planned at the Trop in the absence of “DWTS,” which did brisk business last year in the old Folies showroom.

The “DWTS” live show is still being performed on Holland America cruise lines, with performances by former dance pros and contestants scheduled through the summer and again in January. And, at least one popular longtime Vegas entertainer has expressed interest in moving a show into the new Tropicana Theater, a showcase that would be a great fit for that room if it ever could come off.

This is sad. I hope they can find a way to make the show happen in the future as I always looked forward to seeing this show in Las Vegas one day?

By the way, Courtney saw the first Dancing With The Stars LIVE in Las Vegas show. If you’d like to read her fun review and see pictures, see this link.

DWTS Cheryl Burke And Her Mother Begin New Dance Network (New Interview)

Cheryl also chats a little on the changes coming to the new season of Dancing With The Stars. Cheryl always hopes to be a part of the show including maybe even “judging” in the future. PureDWTS Exclusive: Sharna Burgess Reflects & Talks On DWTS 17, Gives “Michael Jackson One” Show Review

SharnaBurgess2

Hi All!!! Sharna Burgess talked with us recently about the new changes for Dancing With The Stars Season 17. She also reflected on the past season of Dancing With The Stars and what her first year was like as a pro. Sharna was also gracious enough to give us a sneak peek into what the new “Michael Jackson One” Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas is like one of which I’m dying to see and maybe you are too? Lots more below with our beautiful Sharna and we thank her once again for taking time to answer a few questions. Without further ado….

1. Hey Sharna!! How are you and how are you feeling after your first season as a Pro on Dancing With The Stars? Is it everything you hoped it would be?

It was amazing!! It certainly lived up to what I had hoped and Andy surpassed any expectations people had of him. Truly I enjoyed every moment, creatively and emotionally it was challenging rewarding and beautiful.

I don’t think I could ever have prepared myself for the weekly roller coaster of not knowing if my decisions were the right ones, if my choreography was enough or did my concept make sense. Wondering when it would come together or did I have to re think everything. It always came together because Andy is such a superstar, he truly helped me make my ideas come to life. I also couldn’t have guessed that I would make the emotional connection I did with Andy. He was such an amazing person to get to know and become a part of his life.

TV Columnist Asked If Chelsie Hightower Will Be Returning To Dancing With The Stars As A Regular Pro

Columnist Matt Webb Mitovich of TV Line was recently asked by a fan if he knew if pro Chelsie Hightower would be returning as a pro on Dancing With The Stars Season 17. Below you can read how he replied. Note how Matt really isn’t telling us anything new being many of the pros are under contract and anything can happen in leaving them on or off of the show (such as what happened with Chelsie, Anna, and Maks last season), but, it generates a little excitement reading over this and speculating never the less.

If anyone can find the answer to this question, I’m sure it is you, Matt: Is there any chance that we will see Chelsie Hightower return as a pro on Dancing With the Stars? –Lindsey

I perhaps have not watched an episode of DWTS since Kelly Monaco’s Season 1, but I’m game to take this one on. I am told that since Chelsie is still under contract with the ABC series (and last season popped up in some of the “pro dances”), there is at least the possibility she will be part of the Season 17 cast — though we won’t know for sure until late August.

What do you think and while we’re on the subject, what partner did you enjoy Chelsie dancing with the most?

I liked Chelsie dancing with Roshon Fegan the most!! Just as long as Sharna and Karina are dancing, I’ll be happy for whoever else is picked to dance including Chelsie. One more thing: I’d rather see Chelsie dance versus Cheryl ANY DAY.
