We posted on a new Bellus photoshoot with Dancing With The Stars Witney Carson a few weeks ago in a previous posting. Well, now you can view all the new photos at Bellus Magazine. Witney has also been doing some modeling for Coca Cola. Check out this instagram…Beautiful!
Not on my DWTS, please. He’s one of those guys who thinks he knows everything about everything but really doesn’t know all that much about anything. But hey, if you’re hot, you’ll be a hit whether you can sing…I mean dance, or not. But really – how funny would it be if Simon got to be Guest judge and Maks didn’t? From The TV Page:
Usually when they bring a new boss into a show it is so they can shake it up…
Yeah, but this time it is not. The show did really great last season. Quite early on in the season, Conrad who was the EP decided to leave. He had done 18 seasons. He decided he wanted a new challenge. So in this case the show is doing great and we have to be really respectful of the format.
So how are you going to put your stamp on the show?
Look, viewers love the show. I would be a fool to go in there and say, “I want to put my stamp on this. I am going to go in there and shake things up.” But there are a couple of significant changes that I am in the process of making that I think people will notice.
How many judges do you think will be on the panel?
For the moment, we are looking at three. There is a possibility for a fourth. We are talking about that possibility. But we have to see. I think you have just got to get the right mix of people. I think Bruno (Tonioli) , Len (Goodman) and Carrie Ann (Inaba) are brilliant. Certainly wouldn’t lose any of them…
Mary has sent us some video she took of Ballroom With A Twist in Dallas. This is awesome. Check it out as well as her little review of the show. THANKS MARY! You’re awesome!
Ballroom with a Twist in Dallas was the best show ever! Maks, Karina, Tony, & Cheryl danced like their souls were connected! You could feel the excitement of the audience as they interacted by answering questions & teaching us dance moves, & dancing with some of the audience. American Idol performers Von Smith & Haley Scarnato wooed the audience with their beautiful angelic voices. So you think you can dance performers put on a breathtaking performance with their phenomenal dance moves. I highly recommend seeing this show if you get the chance. I’m so grateful my daughter & I was able to enjoy this memory that will last a lifetime! A Big Dallas Texas Thank You to all the performers!
ETA: Theatre Jones has posted a review of the Dallas show. Check out the beautiful pic of Karina and Maks too when you go to the link.
What a great morning wake up call Jim is going to have. Last night, Dancing With The Stars Karina Smirnoff attended the Los Angeles Premiere of ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ at the El Capitan Theatre on in Hollywood, California. Doesn’t she look beautiful?!! More photos at Getty Images.
Thanks to @DWTSGossip for seeing this instagram. Does this little tease from Dancing With The Stars mean Karina Smirnoff, Tony Dovolani, and Maks Chmerkovksiy are returning or is this just a random post? The instagram below is posted with this text: “We can’t wait to see our pros back on #DWTS this fall!” Whatever the case, things are started to warm up in Dancing With The Stars land….
Dance pro Sasha Farber talked to us about how his summer has been in the off season of Dancing With The Stars. He’s been busy and recently he is doing a teaching tour for ballroom dancing. He also visited with us about the changes coming to Dancing With The Stars for what he knows and his favorite dances so far. He also comments on the best dance he’s ever seen in his life (I love his answer). Lots more below. If interested in Sasha’s teaching tour and how you can attend, contact The Ballroom Dance School here or here. You can also call Stacy Newman at 602-525-3842. Above is a picture of Sasha at the Fashion & Music Make Miracles Benefiting Miracles For Kids at Kyle by Alene Too on June 19th, 2014 in Beverly Hills, California.
How has your summer away from Dancing with the Stars gone so far?
I HAVE HAD A GREAT SUMMER! I always try to keep myself busy with shows and dancing and improving myself as a dancer.
But I must say I am having major DWTS withdrawals. Although the world cup this year kept me busy too J
We hear you are embarking on a summer dance teaching tour soon. Can you tell us more about it and what it’s about? How can fans take part in it?
Yes I will be touring Tucson, Phoenix and finishing up in Las Vegas. Basically I love to teach and I love to see people fall in love with this art form called dance! I will be doing a number of workshops and lessons and little demonstrations. I’m very excited as this is my first one of this little tours! I mainly just travel for shows where I perform so this one is a little different. For bookings please call Stacey Newman on 602 5253842 There is a big ball on the 18th of July where I will be dancing!
Are you hearing anything on the new season of Dancing With The Stars? We are hearing there are going to be “changes”. Would you know anything on them? Read more..
Dancing With The Stars Witney Carson, Chelsie Hightower, and Emma Slater Attend 2014 Dizzy Feet Foundation Gala
Dancing With The Stars Witney Carson, Chelsie Hightower, and Emma Slater were seen arriving at the 4th Annual Celebration Of Dance Gala Presented By The Dizzy Feet Foundation at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on July 19, 2014 in Los Angeles, California. Isn’t it great to see them all again? Beautiful! Click on the Getty links to see more! Below is also some video coverage as well….
The “Walking Dead’s” Vincent Ward is campaigning to be on Dancing With The Stars. Take a look at his twitter page when you get a chance. It’s full of the hashtag: #VincentMWardDWTSSeason19!! Normally, we don’t post on many campaigns, but, I’m starting to wonder on this one as it just gives a person that “feeling”. The Examiner asked him more about it. Read below….
Ward’s Twitter page is home base to a slew of impassioned tweets directed to the official “DWTS” account. Nearly all of the messages ask producers to include him as part of the fall 2014 cast. Even Ward is taking part in the effort being made on his behalf, posting creative images of his own that feature his head atop various dancers’ bodies along with the tag “#vincentmwardDWTSSeason19.” The most heavily retweeted image features Ward standing in front of red text that features the #vincentmwardDWTSSeason19 hashtag as well as the show’s name.
When asked by Examiner to explain his desire to compete, Ward’s answer was a simple one. “[D]ancing with my 1st love when I was younger,” he tweeted. Although he had no preference when it came to which female pro he might join on the dance floor, he expressed admiration for season 18 winner Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s “style and charisma.” He also named reality star Jack Osbourne, actor Jaleel White, rapper Lil Kim, and NFL legend Jerry Rice as his favorite former contestants.
I think he’d be a good one for Cheryl or Karina. Heidi, what do you think? Could this be someone we better watch out for?
Heidi: Campaigners RARELY make it on to the show, and I don’ t see this time as being any exception to that rule. And if he’s trying too hard to get on to the show, odds are that he’ll try too hard when he’s ON the show. So, my initial vote is a “no”.
Maks Chmerkovksiy, Karina Smirnoff, Cheryl Burke, and Tony Dovolani Dazzle Dallas In Ballroom With A Twist
Well, it looks like Dancing With The Stars Maks Chmerkovksiy, Karina Smirnoff, Cheryl Burke, and Tony Dovolani had a blast doing “Ballroom With A Twist” in Dallas, Texas last night. Afterwards, fans at twitter called the show “wonderful”, “amazing”, and “fun”. There as an after party as well where Karina and Tony did a Salsa. More below and thanks to Kathym, Susan Ryan, and Chef Pyles for the coverage. If you were at the show last night, let us know in comments. Next stop, Beverly, Massachusetts on July 30, 31, and August 1. For tickets to all the shows coming up, see this link.
Have you seen the Move Live On Tour yet? I was blessed to be able to see it in Denver, Colorado this past week. I wrote all about my experience at Pure Derek Hough if you’d like to read it and see my photos. Let’s just say, I was beyond “moved”! Derek and Julianne could not have been more kind and warm hearted when meeting them. As for their dancing….they gave it up and then some as well as their talented and fabulous dancers who brought the same intensity in different ways. The quality of this show is off the hook! The tour is on it’s last legs now as it travels to Arizona and California this next week, but, don’t give up on buying tickets if you see that some shows are “sold out”. Check the venues themselves and places like Stubhub.com, Ebay, etc. The price is worth every penny. Check twitter too as I’ve seen some people at the last minute who weren’t able to go. If you’d like to blog and review on your experience, see this link.
“After you move, don’t you feel good?” ~Derek Hough
Yes, I did!!!
And guess what? (Our) John also saw the show in Sandy, Utah this week. Here’s a little bit of what he saw. Thanks to John Von Dreele (another John) for sending…
