If you head to Getty Images, you can view some new photos of Karina Smirnoff seen at LAX on November 29, 2014 in Los Angeles, California. She looks so cute as always…just as she does below after Thanksgiving with her dog Randy!
Here is Lois back with another one of her fun poems….this time, for night one of Dancing With The Stars finale….
My poem for the Monday night show – Week 11 – Finals
When I was thinking how to approach this poem, I thought of two words – epic and evolution. The finalists have undergone an evolution throughout the season. And the Freestyles are always epic, but the four Freestyles we saw were extra-epic, raising the bar for freestyles going forward in coming seasons.
AN EPIC EVOLUTION OF DANCE
AN EPIC EVOLUTION OF DANCE, finalists growing through the season
Dances re-wound, the finalists grew by leaps and bounds, for a reason
Freestyles were epic taking the dances to astounding, amazing heights
AN EPIC EVOLUTION OF DANCE, a grand display, blazing bright lights
The opening, a pro-pelling extravaganza, full of spirit, a grand showcase
Highlighting the pros, men and ladies, full of gleam, of glamour, of grace Read more..
It’s that time again, Dancettes! Time to make your voice heard for the Dance pros you’d like to see dance on Dancing With The Stars Season 20!! I’m not sure these cast wish posts influence the producers, but, sometimes I have to wonder? I picked Allison Holker for the past two seasons (as well as several of you) and last season, we got our wish. So, like in seasons past, let’s do it again. What are your pro wishes for Dancing With the Stars Season 20? Pick only 12 (6 males and 6 females). Also, pick FOUR Troupe Members as well. You can also pick a few Alternatives in case they make the cast a little bigger. Let us know your picks in comments and then we’ll send this post to the Producers in a few weeks.
Here is my Pro Wish List:

Thanks to Court’s eagle eye, we have our first rumor of Dancing With The Stars Season 20. Is it possible something might be in the works for Danni Allen of the “Biggest Loser”? Court said she noticed this tweet from Danni on Tuesday night during the finale. At first, she didn’t really think much on it being it was campaigning (which we don’t always post about), but, then @DancingABC retweeted it. Interesting, hmmm? Let’s keep our eye on this one. Note too that according to her twitter, she’s got her eye on Val Chmerkovskiy.
Below is the new Afterbuzz TV show. This time Serge Onik joins Kristyn, Anna, and Suri to review the show. I haven’t listened to all of the show yet, but, I hope to later. Let us know what you think.
And the fun continues! Happy Thanksgiving, All!!!
For starters today, Allison Holker has written a new blog at In Touch Weekly. She reflects back on the finale and her first season of Dancing With The Stars. The interesting part is that I think she will be back for Season 20 (yay! Love love love her!). Read on…
It’s such a surreal feeling to stand out on the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ dance floor with so many watching — so last night just moments before the show started, I stood on that dance floor and closed my eyes and just listened to the audience screaming and cheering for the show and everything that it brings — which is happiness, hope, and a chance to do something you didn’t think you could do. “DWTS” brings joy and entertainment right into people’s homes, and I am honored to be a part.
Thank you to everyone in the “DWTS” family. You’re truly the best. Season 19 was perfect, and I’m proud of all the work we put out, and congrats to Alfonso and Witney on winning the mirror ball trophy!
What’s next? Well, next season is “DWTS” 10th anniversary! And that will be a celebration you won’t want to miss. See you soon.

There has been much speculation about Cheryl Burke and whether she will be back on the next season of Dancing With The Stars. According to Executive Producer Rob Wade, she’s decided to exit the show. Tuesday night was her last night. Below is more from The Wrap. Note that he also says Len Goodman and Julianne Hough will be returning to judge full time next season.
ETA: You can read more with Rob Wade at this link. He talks about ratings, his vision for the 10th anniversary, and more.
Wade feels that the popular pro’s exit gives the series a chance to highlight other dancers.
“We’ll only survive as a show if we keep innovating and changing. It’s very sad to see cast members leave, but again that gives you the opportunity to grow. So, I’m quite positive about having the opportunity to bring new people in or bring back some of the old faces.”
Additionally, head judge Len Goodman, who took a several weeks off this past season due to conflicts with shooting the show’s U.K. version, will be back full-time on Season 20. And although there’s some scheduling conflicts still to be resolved, Julianne Hough is also contracted to return in the spring to the judges’ table.
“A judging panel isn’t about individuals. It’s about chemistry. That has happened remarkably quickly for Julianne in that role,” Wade said. “I couldn’t be happier.”
“I think the ballroom experience and the dance experience and the star quality and vibrancy that Julianne has brought to the panel has been exceptional,” he continued. “I also think that the way that Carrie Ann [Inaba], Bruno [Tonioli] and Len have embraced her and have individually been so great this season, as well, has been wonderful. I think it shows their character that they can do that. The three of them have been absolutely wonderful in welcoming Julianne in and I think it has been lovely to watch.”
Sad, I’m going to miss Cheryl. I hope she changes her mind…especially for my Dad’s sake. For the full article, see The Wrap. Thanks to Lisa for the heads up on this news. Below are some interviews with The Wrap from last night as well….
More interviews All! Check out E Online as they’ve posted some new interviews with the finalists. Also, below are the finalists talking with with George Pennacchio and ABC7.
