As you might know from a previous post, Dancing With The Stars Mark Ballas choreographed two routines on So You Think You Can Dance on Fox last night. Below you can watch him talking about it with Kristyn Burtt. She also asks him on Dancing With The Stars. He doesn’t give her many hints of what’s happening in the new season, but, it’s a fun interview. To see more interviews with Kristyn from last night, see Dance Network Facebook. Also below are the two routines choreographed by Mark recorded by @Idolxfactor1.

Well, Courtney, Vogue and myself have been trying to figure out who this tweet refers to:
— Integrated PR (@integrated_pr) August 22, 2016
They don’t appear to represent any Olympians, but from what we can tell they do represent the following people:
Sherilyn Fenn (has a new book out)
Ryan Newman (Nascar or actress??)
Cynthia Bailey (Actress – and a real housewife…)
Tommy Davidson (Sharknado)
Kevin Lacz (Author/actor – Think American Sniper)
They also represent quite a few former DWTS Celebs from the looks of it. Here’s your assignment, should you choose to accept it: Find out which of their clients is going to do DWTS. Fun game for you all while I run to work. 🙂 The fact that Cynthia is a Real Housewife gives me pause, I must say…

Dancing With The Stars Season 18 Runner Up Amy Purdy To Dance Solo In The Opening Of The Rio 2016 Paralympics
Just a heads up. Dancing With The Stars Season 18 Runner-up Amy Purdy will not only be reporting for the 2016 Paralympics In Rio, Brazil, she’s also dancing solo in the opening on September 7th. Below is part of an interview with the Summit Daily that I thought was such an interesting read being there are lots of mentions on Dancing With The Stars and how her solo dance is being put together. I’m so so proud of this Girl….
Summit Daily News: You two just returned from Rio a few weeks ago. What were you doing down there?
Amy Purdy: To choreograph this dance for the opening ceremony at the Paralympic Games. We were working with an incredible choreographer, Cassie (Abranches), and she came out in March to see if I was a good fit for the performance the producers wanted for the opening ceremony. I realized that if I’m going to do this, I’m going to need help. I reached out to Jessica, who’s in Summit, and she helped choreograph my wedding dance I did with my husband last year. He found her because he wanted some dance lessons before our wedding and she was willing to help with that first dance.
SDN: What kind of dance are you doing for the opening ceremony?
AP: It’s pretty spectacular, I’ll say. It’s a contemporary dance, and it’s pretty scary for me because it’s really outside of my comfort zone. I did “Dancing with the Stars,” but I always had a partner, and if you forget the dance for a split second they can pick you back up. They’re also great for balance.
They were also very short dances — like a minute and a half — and this one is about four minutes long. It’s very long, very complicated, and I actually switch legs a few times during the dance. It’s built into the choreography.
SDN: What type of feet are you using?
AP: I’m in running blades, which aren’t made for dancing, and also feet that are made for swimming. There really aren’t any feet made for dancing, but if I can pull it off it will be a very powerful performance. They’ve composed music for it — this theatrical, powerful music that is just perfect for an opening ceremony. They put so much time into creating new music for this dance, and, even though I can’t talk about all the details, it’s about the relationship between the human spirit — the human body — and technology. That’s what the Paralympics is all about: how technology and the human spirit connect.
SDN: How does a dance performance compare to Olympic competition? You’re no stranger to the spotlight on the snow, but this is your first solo dance performance.
AP: It’s very similar. When you’re at the Paralympics, you know that this is your one shot. Everything leads up to that one moment. The world is watching, and that was the most pressure I’d ever been in.
Then I went to “Dancing with the Stars” and it was like the Paralympics every week. You have to nail a single minute of performance every week. The pressure is huge, but, like everything else I’ve done, you can’t focus on everyone else. You have to shut off everything else, and if you make a mistake you pull yourself together. I do my best to shut out the unnecessary chatter in my brain: how stressful this is, how scary this is, how many people are watching. It’s the purpose, and that purpose is to show what the possibilities can be with these legs. That’s really what it’s all about.
That’s not to say it’s not scary…
SDN: Did you ever think you’d have the chance to dance at an opening ceremony?
AP: No, not once. We had up to 18 million people watching “Dancing with the Stars,” but this is an international stage. Maybe not every country is tuning in, but just about the whole world is tuning in. It takes what I’ve done in the past and takes it to a whole new level. It’s a solo dance, again, and this I my opportunity to show people that, yes, I can do this on my own for a solid four minutes. It’s a challenge, but it’s nothing I’m not used to.
To read more and see photos and video of her rehearsing, see Summit Daily. Go for it, Amy. We’ll be watching!
Take this one with a grain of salt being this rumor comes from the Daily Mail via The Star. Apparently, Teresa Guidice is ready to dance on Dancing With The Stars. Though note how she was put on a watch out this past April. She also turned down the show last season according to People. She also turned down the show down in Season 13. So, will she dance in Dancing With The Stars Season 23? Here is more….
Now the mother of four hopes to compete on Dancing With The Stars, according to a report from US Star magazine.
‘Teresa is scrambling for cash so a Dancing With The Stars gig -and the paycheck that comes with it – would be a huge help,’ a source told the publication.
Teresa and husband Joe have been hit with a $551,563 tax bill in recent weeks, it was added.
They have been struggling in the past year to pay back creditors and to keep their sprawling New Jersey mansion.
Doing the Cha-Cha on DWTS could earn her a steady salary if she is able to stay on the show.
Several other reality stars have done the ABC show, including Kim Kardashian from Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim Zolciak from The Real Housewives Of Atlanta and Kate Gosselin from Kate Plus Eight.
‘Teresa is trying to act casual about it, telling friends that it would be fun and that she’d be in great shape,’ said a source.

I have to admit, I’m not too wild about this one. Let us know what you think in comments.
ETA: Well, we don’t have to worry about Teresa. E Online is reporting she hasn’t been asked to dance. Here is more….
While rumors have been circulating that The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is set to join the season 23 cast of Dancing With the Stars, E! News can exclusively report that Teresa is not joining the ABC reality hit. And she hasn’t even been approached for the new season, which kicks off on Sept. 12, though ABC was interested in having Teresa as part of the season 22 cast after she finished serving her 15-month prison sentence, according to the Bravo reality star’s attorney.
“Dancing With The Stars approached Teresa about doing the season that aired in March but unfortunately with Teresa having just come home and with Joe Giudice going away in March, we had to decline the offer,” Teresa’s attorney James Leonard Jr. told E! News in an exclusive statement. “We have not had any discussions with Dancing With The Stars since that time and as such any story linking Teresa to the upcoming season are untrue. Teresa remains a fan of the show and if the timing is right and both sides are interested, I could absolutely see her doing the show at some time down the road.”
Looks like Derek has already been pretty busy with Hairspray, judging by this new advertisement that came out today. Looks like fun! I can’t wait. 🙂
We’ve reported on Simone several times, but now she kinda puts the rumors to rest…for now. She does say she would love to do it in the spring and the team would love to dance with Derek. Nice interview from WWD – click the link to read the whole thing.
WWD: Will you appear on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars?” Have you talked to anyone about that? Do you have a wish-list partner?
S.B.: Yes, I would really love to, but my schedule is very busy. I would love to do the spring season if they would let me. Everyone would love to have Derek [Hough] as a partner. But maybe if we got someone new that would be cool.
