Heads up!! Maybe it’s nothing and maybe it’s something, but, Dancing With The Stars pro Sharna Burgess was teasing on Dancing With The Stars Season 20 with this instagram (below) last night. With the photo, she captioned it with, “#sharnawink getting excited for season 20!!!!!!” What’s more, fans started tweeting that they wanted her paired with rumored Seattle Seahawk’s quarterback Russell Wilson. You might remember him telling Karina Smirnoff that he’d do Dancing With The Stars if the Seahawk’s won the Super bowl. To make things even more exciting, Yahoo News (Thanks Nathan for the tip) reached out to his reps. None of them commented immediately, but, a source tells them “They made a deal a couple months back that if he wins the 2015 Super Bowl, he would dance as her partner for Season 20 of ‘Dancing With the Stars,'”. So, if Russell Wilson dances, who do you think he should be paired with: Karina or Sharna? All eyes on all THREE of them and THE SUPER BOWL next week!!! I love all three and I will be so happy if we get another football player to dance on Dancing With The Stars.
Dancing With The Stars Derek Hough’s interest in photography continues to amaze. Below is a fun shot from the Brooklyn Bridge area in New York City. Yesterday, we told you a little about the “state of the art” light show in the Dancing Pros Live Tour. Well, if you head to Live Design Online, you can read a fun article on the Dancing With The Stars Live Tour and how lighting designer Butch Allen put it together so it would fit in one trailer.
When you have only one trailer for a high-profile tour, every fixture you load into it had better count. Butch Allen, the 2014 Parnelli Award Lighting Designer of the Year who has toured with a long list of superstars from Van Halen and Jennifer Lopez to Metallica and Usher, demonstrated this principle in stunning fashion recently when he created a maximum “bang for the inch” rig for the sold-out Dancing With The Stars Live! tour.
“We had to fit everything – and I mean everything — from costumes and props to the show’s famous mirror balls into a single trailer for this tour,” said Allen. “Ray Woodbury of RK Diversified Entertainment did an amazing job helping me put together a rig that delivered all the lighting punch we needed, while not taking up an inordinate amount of space in the trailer.”
The “workhorse” of this rig, according to Allen, was CHAUVET Professional’s Q-Wash 560Z-LED, a high-output moving head wash powered by 91 3-watt RGBWA LEDs. “We have a lot of great fixtures in the rig, but the Q-Wash is the light that stands out,” said Allen. “It’s the workhorse and the ‘lighting star’ on the Dancing With The Stars Live! tour hands down.”
There are a number of features that made the Q-Wash 560Z- LED an ideal fit for Allen’s Dancing With The Stars Live! rig. “The color rendering and optic zoom range on that light are awesome,” said the LD. “We’re using only 18 of these fixtures, yet we’re completely covering a 50 foot by 30 foot stage with just about every color imaginable. Plus since the fixtures are so light (21.2 lbs.), we have no difficulty hanging them from house pipe at different stops during the tour.”

Dancing Pros Live In Cheyenne, Wyoming: “Captivating”, State Of Art Light Show, Fun, And Beautiful Dancing
Hey Everyone! Last night, I was able to see “Dancing Pros LIVE” in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I’m planning to report on everything in more detail after I see the show again in Denver on Saturday, but, for now, I just wanted to let you know how amazing this show is!!! The first thing that struck me was “the state of the art” light show. It was so beautiful!!!
Also, from the beginning to the end, my eyes were captivated with such great dancing. It was so cool seeing Edyta Sliwinska and Alec Mazo dancing again. They took my breath away with their beauty and love for each other. Karina was a hoot as a judge and so cute. She also danced a fiery Tango. Chelsie Hightower was a “ray of light” like always. Oscar Orosco was ON FIRE! And oh my goodness, then there was BENJI SCHWIMMER!!!! I have no words for how entertaining this guy is and how he was loving and feeling every moment. He owned it out there!! He’s made me a huge fan. More after Saturday. In the meantime, check out this schedule and GET YOUR TICKETS NOW! You will be captivated from the beginning to the end. Pic below courtesy of @DancingProsLive twitter to give you just a glimpse of how amazing the light show was. B-EAUTIFUL!!
Aww, it’s so good to see Peta Murgatroyd again as we haven’t seen much of her during the off season! If you go to the Daily Mail, you can see her walking in New York City with Maks Chmerkovskiy. I love her coat and shoes!! I love Maks’ coat too. Beautiful photos!
Rob Wade talked with E Online about Dancing With The Stars. He talks about Len Goodman and how long he may be sticking around for a couple of more seasons. He also says Julianne Hough and Erin Andrews are returning for Season 20. More below and at the link.
“The truth is there is still a chance that Len will be around for 21, either as a part of, a small part, a big part or a whole part of the season,” he spills. “I don’t know how we’d use him, but he’s very open to it. I spoke to Len two days ago. And then for Season 22, the spring, he’s very up for coming back. And if we can come to an agreement, he absolutely wants to come back. ”
While fan-favorite professional dancer Derek Hough is sitting Season 20 out, Wade confirms his sister and new judge Julianne Hough “is coming back,” telling us the show is incredibly happy with her debut season at the judges’ table. “This was her first season as a judge and I don’t think anyone has any idea how difficult it is to be a judge,” he says. “I thought she got better and better. She’s incredibly knowledgeable.”
Also returning? Co-host Erin Andrews.
“Yes, Erin’s back too. We’re very happy with the show,” Wade says. “This is a great family. We’re behind our cast 100 percent.”
