Nyle Di Marco is dedicating a soundless video to the “The Sound Of Silence” song for the freestyle. More below courtesy of his You Tube Channel.
Thank you for continuing to make my ride on DWTS so much more thrilling and meaningful. Thank you for continuing my voice in raising awareness about the Deaf culture.
Given that I am Deaf, I am dedicating this soundless video to “The Sound Of Silence” song for our Contemporary-Freestyle dance for the Finale.
My interpretation of the song is that for hundred of years my Deaf community has suffered oppression, marginalization, and language deprivation… but now we’re starting to find hope. It is time for our soundless message to be heard, hence the Sound Of Silence.
P.S. There are 70 million of Deaf people worldwide. Only 2% of them have access to education in sign language. Over 75% of parents do not use sign language to communicate with their Deaf child. Millions Deaf children experience language deprivation. If you want to help and put end to this, please buy a shirt represent.com/nyle and the money will go to Nyle DiMarco FOUNDATION.

“All Is Number” – Plato
“Numbers are the universal language offered by the deity to humans as confirmation of the truth.” – St. Augustine
It’s a Tight One, Folks!
Undoubtedly you know who Pythagoras was. Well, if you don’t, surely you remember his theorem that you labored over in geometry class, a2 + b2 = c2. Remember him now? Well, this guy Pythagoras was a well-renown Greek philosopher who taught all of his students how to “read” numbers. In fact, he’s considered the first “pure” mathematician (math that has no practical purpose), and also he was the originator of what we know as numerology today. But, Pythagoras had other credits too. He was a philosopher, scientist, astronomer, musician, and a spiritual teacher. He taught his followers that a person’s entire destiny could be read from the numbers of a person’s birthdate and name. His foundational premise was that everything in the universe vibrates to its own frequency and is represented by a number.
Pythagoras and his followers were not the only group that believed in the impact of numbers on one’s life. Enter the Chinese, the Japanese, as well as the Chaldeans, Hebrews, Egyptians, Phoenicians, even the early Christians. And of course, we all know about the Mayans (and their famous calendar), and the Incas.
After a thousands years or so of the use of numerology by Roman Catholic theologians, in 325AD, the church’s first Council of Nicaea removed numerological practices from church orthodoxy. Despite this removal, however, the practice and the fascination with numerology continued to grow to this day. And it’s this science that we will use to predict the winner of Season 22. Well…we’ll give it the good ole college try anyway. ☺
Let’s get started, shall we? Read more..
I love love Pitbull. Guess what? According to Carrie Ann Inaba’s new blog at Access Hollywood, he’s going to perform for the Dancing With The Stars Season 22 Finale. Pitbull Updates reports that he’ll perform on Tuesday.
This season has been tough and I cannot predict who will win. All the contestants have been good and I don’t think we’ve had a season with this many great performances. It’s been a joy to watch and I’m really looking forward to seeing what each of them brings to dance floor on Monday and Tuesday for our 2-part Finals!!!! All I know is that it’s going to be a close race to the finish!
I wish them all the best and I look forward to seeing Pitbull again who will be performing in our finale! He was a fun guest judge and you know it’s going to be a party if Pitbull is in the house! See you then!
Lot’s more from Carrie Ann at Access Hollywood including her thoughts on the remaining three couples.
