Both the stars and the professional dancers on Dancing with the Stars are incredible talents. Tonight’s semi final performance was when the Dancing with the Stars talent really starts to show. The dancers are so refined and have been trained so well that each of the performances is incredible.

Tonight’s episode of Dancing with the Stars was highlighted by a couple group numbers with 3 couples in each group. I like the little bit of a twist in the show. It was also nice to see Edyta back on the show even if Cody probably really missed Julianne and Julianne really wanted to be on the show (per her mom who I talked to about 30 minutes ago).

I think it’s about time that Cloris goes home. I wish the judges would just judge her properly. She didn’t even deserve 5’s this time. She was horrible. Corky deserves a high number, but Cloris nothing.

Tonight’s episode of Dancing with the Stars had Brooke & Derek dancing a Samba to the song Hip Hip Chin Chin by Club des Belugas. I found it really interesting that Brooke and Derek did a samba to the same song that Lacey Schwimmer and Danny did a samba to on So You Think You Can Dance (choreographed by Dmitry Chaplin - Could you imagine him on DWTS?). Take a look at Lacey and Danny’s samba and tell me if you like it better or worse than Derek and Brooke’s samba.

I’m a little bit torn on which I like better. I think I’ll personally give the edge to Brooke and Derek, because they are the much prettier couple in my book.

It was a sad day for true Dancing with the Stars fans, because Misty May is injured and no longer on the show. Still a ton of great competitors and we have no clue who is really going to win this year. However, I would have liked to see Misty May finish developing herself on the show. I felt like she never broke out in her dancing.

Brooke wrote on her blog about Derek Hough getting hurt while practicing for their Dancing with the Stars performance. Here’s an excerpt of what happened:

It has been an intense weekend, especially yesterday when Derek and I almost found ourselves out of the competition. Saturday, on the CBS stage, we were practicing as usual when Derek accidentally tripped over a box, while walking backwards. As he tried to break his fall, by jumping up, his foot caught a stage light which sent him further into the air. He landed on his back on the wooden dance floor and smashed the back of his head. He was disoriented, blacked out for a few seconds, and was flattened out in pain. He couldn’t move, I sat beside him as he layed there and we waited for help to arrive. Our producers called 911 and the paramedics arrived to carefully examine him. He suffered a neck injury last season which had him down for a week, so the reoccurance was definately scary. They rushed him off, stretcher and all, in the ambulance for further testing in the ER.

Derek hurt himself last season too. Amazing that a dancer with such wonderful precision on the dance floor could be so clumsy. Although, I don’t think I’m one to talk either.

Check out Jessica Simpson on Dancing with the Stars. She’s gone country…ok enough of that. The Judges Choice was by far the most memorable dance from last night. I think the black pleather and Kym’s ability to lean back like the Matrix makes the Matrix dance the best.
