Preliminary PureDWTS POLL: Who Do You Think Will Win The Dancing With The Stars All Star Season?

Yay, now that the Dancing With The Stars official pairings have been announced (See our Miss Heidi’s Live Blog Announcement here if you haven’t done so. The comments in it are fun to read and take part in too), let’s get some numbers for what your first feelings are for who will WIN this season after you first heard who is dancing together? Karina Smiroff Comments On Her New DWTS All Stars Partner Apolo Ohno

People has a nice little spread on the Dancing With The Stars pairings announcement. Be sure you read the full article at the link. They also featured a quote from Dancing With The Stars pro Karina Smirnoff for how she feels about getting Apolo Ohno as her partner.

“When I heard Apolo Ohno was my partner I thought, Apolo – oh yes!” Smirnoff tells PEOPLE. “It’s going to be fun and exciting to see Apolo’s creativity, charm, drive and personality on the dance floor again. We will soon see how much dancing he has been doing and/or practicing in the off seasons.”

She adds: “This is going to be one of the most competitive seasons we will ever have on the show. There are so many different personalities, athletes, talents, past winners and competitors on the show.”

DWTS Producer Conrad Green Dissects The Official Dancing With The Stars All Star Pairings

The producer of Dancing With The Stars, Conrad Green, has written on each of the official pairings at Entertainment Weekly and what he thinks of each of them. For instance, on Kym and Joey, Conrad writes, “I think Kym took a good laugh being with Joey. It’s a lot of hard work, but sometimes it’s just fun. We want that sense of celebration. He and Drew are very good friends, they smart at each other all the time. For personality, exuberance, and how much he puts into the dance, he’s a natural.” Be sure to read all of Conrad’s commentary on each couple here. It’s pretty interesting.

DWTS All Stars – Who’s Dancing with Whom? Pairs Announcement Live Blog!!

How live will it be? Well, that remains to be seen. Are they going to do a massive pairs dump or are they going to string it out over the second hour of GMA?? Stick around and find out. If you want to go back to my guesses on the pairings from a few weeks ago and amuse yourself until it’s time, then check it out —> Who’s gonna dance with whom?

ETA: Well, so far so good. They’re teasing it pretty good on GMA. Lara says there’s “a lot of overlap” – no idea what that means. George claims he got a sneak peek.

ETA2: Just teased it again, Lara said it was “surprising” – which I think means everyone’s getting a new partner, but we’ll see….

ETA3: Lara just talked about Cheryl having “3 of them” on the show previously and asked the question “Which one will she dance with this time, or will she dance with any of them? Does she have any say?”  Heidi says, yes, let’s make it about Cheryl, her head ain’t big enough yet. ::eyeroll::

ETA4: Pairings coming up at 8:12!!!

ETA5: Here we go!!

ETA6: Tony on the show now. Boring, boring, boring.  Can’t believe they are going this way. Melissa has no shot.

Sharna Burgess Recaps Her Summer, Shares Thoughts On New DWTS All Star Cast

This is fun!! As promised, Dancing With Stars Sharna Burgess has written to us all about her summer and what a busy and fun summer at that from her working in London, taking a little vacation time, and returning back to the States to work on So You Think You Can Dance and judging the Hip Hop International tournament. Pure DWTS “Summer Recap”

My thoughts on the new cast:

Wow what an exciting diverse bunch! I was surprised they bought back so many mirror ball winners, but at the same time each of them are great competitive energies to throw into the mix. I think it will be very interesting to watch these guys the second time around – the defending champions should be just as nervous as the rest! I know the runner-ups like Kirstie Alley, are definitely looking to take that mirror ball home. Even the old favorites coming back are in it to win it! Everyone is coming in on an even playing field, they now all have dance experience and know what to expect. It’s not about getting to know them anymore, it’s about what they can do! It definitely won’t be any easier the second time round, as the bar has been raised and we expect to see some fantastic dancing this season!

My summer has been crazy! Between flying straight to London after DWTS, judging Hip Hop International, the USA championships held in Vegas, and working on SYTYCD… I have been a busy girl! Read more..

Cheryl Burke Dishes On New Dancing With The Stars All Star Season With Mario Lopez

Pictured above is Dancing With The Stars Cheryl Burke. She chatted with Mario Lopez about the new All Star cast and her former partners at The Grove. She wants to dance with one of the three. As of now, she claims she has no idea who her partner will be until the announcement on Monday. She says rehearsals for the show begin August 30th. Mario jokes if they were dancing together this season, they’d win for sure and Cheryl agrees. By the way, has Cheryl had some work done to her face in some way or is it just me? PureDWTS All Star Season: Who’s Following Who At Twitter? (Speculate Post)

With the Dancing With The Stars pairings announcement about to take place on Monday on Good Morning America, it’s fun to take a look at “who might be following who” at twitter? Karina Smirnoff On DWTS15 Cast: “Women are very strong, but the male celebrity guests are a little bit stronger overall”

Karina Smirnoff not only made an appearance at the “It’s So Miami” pop-up pool Party in NYC, she also gave her thoughts on the upcoming cast of Dancing With The Stars. Below is more from People today. Check out what she says about Bristol Palin too.

“The women are very strong, but the male celebrity guests are a little bit stronger overall,” Smirnoff told PEOPLE at an event sponsored by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. “I mean, we have an Olympian male guest – Apolo Anton Ohno. I’m sure he’ll go very far.”

Otherwise, added Smirnoff, it’s a crapshoot. “It’s going to depend on the chemistry that [the stars] have with their partners, the quality of the dancing that [they] do, and who has more fans,” she said.

There is one star for whom Smirnoff doesn’t have high hopes, however. “I’d be very, very surprised if [Bristol Palin] won,” she said. “Bristol was not known as the best dancer of [her] season. … There was so much controversy when she was on.” (Still, the reality star landed in the finale during season 11.)
