DWTS Season 12, The Finale – The Cheesecake Awards!!

Oy veh. One more for the season. WARNING! This one gets a tad…harsh. If you are overly sensitive in regard to some of the regulars on this show, look out. πŸ™‚ You’ve been warned. I (Heidi) was feeling particularly evil when I wrote my parts.

Best Moment of the Finale: The Three Stooges reaction to Chelsea Kane getting 3rd place

Heidi: Ahhh…that was soooo sweet. Guess what, stooges, you don’t have all the power, no matter how hard you try. LOL. Want to see what we’re talking about? Keep your eye on the judges once the camera goes wide again. The body language is hilarious. Len and Carrie Ann are sitting, not clapping, in shock. Mwahahahaha….

Courtney: Both of them looked like they’d just seen the ghost of Michael Jackson or something.  Utter, total, and complete shock – followed by bitterness.  The Almighty Judges thwarted in their master plan??? Muahahahaha – you betcha.  Probably a good thing that Carrie Ann wasn’t clapping – her arm fat was jiggling like crazy earlier in the night when she was grooving in her chair to Black-Eyed Oh-bitch-please.

The Award for Being Almost TOO Cheesey to Bear: Tom Bergeron/Producers for that silly opening voiceover on the last night

Heidi: Is it just me or was that just way more over the top than normal?? I mean, this ain’t the Olympics, it’s DWTS (which I guess makes my complaint ironic…or redundant…or…pointless?) – but do we really need the dramatic talk about “their journey” to get to the finals??

Courtney: You’d think we were watching the pre-show for the Olympics or the Superbowl or even Idol – the sad backstory, the clawing their way to the top, the blood, sweat, toil, and tears, this has been their lifelong dream, yadda yadda yadda.  Way, WAAAYYYY over-the-top. Spare me.

The Karma Really Works Award: Len Goodman for “If they don’t like our scores, then vote for them!!”

Heidi: Fan-f@#ing-tastic. πŸ™‚ That’s called having karma take a bite out yo ass. πŸ™‚ We DID vote and it didn’t quite go the way you expected, did it? But this still does piss me off because that sure as hell didn’t work in week 9, did it. I fully expect to see the BonASS dance in the finale next season so they are more likely to get their way. Anyway, I think the producers were taking a poke at the judges, since when they aired this little gem they likely already knew that Chelsea took 3rd place. πŸ™‚

Courtney: You may be onto something with the producers taking a swipe at the judges – perhaps they were trying to make them the scapegoat for the whole fiasco.  I can’t help but wonder if TPTB were catching so much flak for the WTA dance that they decided to shift the blame to the judges – making a point of having Len say that right before announcing Chelsea as 3rd place was a subtle way of saying “Blame the judges! They’re the ones that gave the scores!” Of course, I don’t think anyone in a position of authority on the show is blame-free for the shitshow that was season 12 – as I said on Twitter the other day, this season was one big series of unfortunate events that resulted from TPTB trying to atone for the sins of season 11…and failing miserably.  Viewers tend to fight back when they start monkeying around too much with the basic premise of the show – this is a prime example.

Award for Most Bizarre Dancing “tic”: Maks and walking

Heidi: He does this all the time and did it again in his freestyle with Kirstie. He has quite long sections of just walking across the dance floor. Don’t get me wrong, it really worked well in the mood of his freestyle, but often it’s just a time-wasting move that he uses too much – IMO, of course. They all have tics or signature moves – but those are MOVES. This is walking. I’m surprised he doesn’t get called on it more often. I’d call him on it. πŸ™‚

Courtney: Yeah, I guess it’s kind of his “thing” – like Mark’s jimmy legs, Cheryl’s sheer-skirted ballgowns, or Lacey’s sometimes-pointless displays of flexibility.  I am a bit surprised that he doesn’t get called out on it more, but I guess he does walk with a sense of purpose in his step – I guess I can forgive it more easily than, say, spastic dancing or copied choreo.

The Award for the Best Use of NEW MATH: Brooke Burke/the Producers

Heidi: Most watched season ever?? Seriously?? TV Guide said it was up by double digits but compared to what?? And for the ENTIRE season and not just the finale? Doubtful. It’s possible I could be brain-dead, but ratings are one of those things I pay attention to and I thought it was down – and some weeks Nielsen reported it was down. Now, granted, I don’t look THAT closely, but damn, I think this is creative math at work here. They’re forcing me to do a post on ratings trends. πŸ™‚ Maybe they meant to say “Most watched SPRING season ever.” That might work.

Courtney: I feel like the phrases “most watched season ever” and “closest competition ever” have become clichΓ©s in the great DWTS lexicon – they seem to toss ’em out every time the finale rolls around.  And lucky for them – most viewers don’t care enough to contest it.  But for us Scullys & Mulders who know “the truth is out there” – it’s endlessly annoying.  It’s taking liberties with the data – and that pisses us off.  We ain’t stoopid πŸ™‚

Heidi: :::swoon::: Just call me Scully – I love me some Mulder. πŸ™‚

The “Oh. I didn’t think about that” Award for Failure to Engage the Brain: Mark Ballas, for his freestyle choreography

Heidi: Dude, probably not a good idea to plan to have your partners hands and feet light up, necessitating wires running all up and down her body, AFTER you’ve spent 60 seconds tossing her around the dance floor. OF COURSE the batteries came un-plugged and the battery pack got dislodged (incidentally, affecting her performance – not that it mattered to the stooges). Battery packs with wires + highly tricky dancing = OOPS

Courtney: That was a dumb move on his part, but so was picking a freestyle song/theme that did nothing to showcase his partner’s skills or even allow her to connect to the music.  I’ve said it before, but I’ll go ahead and say it again: I don’t feel like I was watching a performance of their freestyle; it was just a regurgitation, if you will.  Unlike Kirstie & Hines, who I felt both really “connected” to their routines on a personal level, this did not feel like something Chelsea would have chosen for herself – it said nothing about her.  This was music recycled from Mark’s heydey, with moves that show how great MARK is, not Chelsea. The poor girl was just trying to keep up the whole time.  The malfunctioning lights were just icing on the crappy cake.

Best Song Lyrics Written by a 5-Year Old: Black Eyed Peas Song they Debuted on the Finale

Heidi: So, Will.i.Am’s kid has begun writing song lyrics now?? Really, wasn’t that just one line chanted over and over again for three minutes?? This group continues it’s downward spiral into mediocrity.

Courtney: The Peas are gadawful, period.  I move that we relegate them to Yo Gabba Gabba! duty ASAP, cause their songs are serious gibberish.  Like, seriously – my cat makes more interesting noises when pooping in his litter box than the Black-Eyed Oh-bitch-please – no more! do in a song.  The person I feel most sorry for in this whole Pea-induced debacle is Hines – poor guy had to deal with him at the Superbowl AND the DWTS finale.  I bet he’s ready to slap that metal toupee off Will.i.am’s head and kick Fergie right in her London Bridge.  I’d make some funny comment about the other two, but seriously – who remembers their names? They will eternally be Asian Guy and Other Black Guy to me. That seems punishment enough for those poor souls. Hashtag, just sayin’.  πŸ˜‰

Heidi: Bwahahaha…London Bridge. Is that in her mouth or is it a euphemism for…never mind. πŸ™‚ I like that one song “I Got A Feeling” but mainly because I have seen a home video of four of the five Hough siblings just jamming out to it with Derek leading the way. It takes a Hough…technically 7 of them since it was 4 sibs and 3 of their little girls.

Comedic Line ‘O the Night: ANYTHING by Mike Catherwood.

Heidi: Hilarious dude. The one that really made me giggle was when he called Tristan “Lucky Charms”. LOL And may I just say that he can really pull off that short…body suit thingy that he was wearing. He was trying to be ridiculous, obviously, but I just kept thinking about what an awesome body he had. πŸ™‚

Courtney: Mike is seriously doing a disservice to the women of the world by not capitalizing on his fab form.  Case in point: I’m not really a “leg” girl (most regulars here can tell you I’m a pec girl – especially if a guy can make them dance), but I was marveling at how RIPPED Mike’s quads and hamstrings are.  Meeeeooowwww.  The whole “riotously funny” act is just icing on the cake.  Seriously judges (more specifically Carrie Ann…and maybe Bruno) – you couldn’t have ridiculously overscored Mike the first two weeks so we could have kept him around a bit longer? I don’t know too many people who would have been upset if Wendy had gone home earlier πŸ˜‰

Heidi’s Favorite Moment of the Night: Petra and Dmitry’s Dance to Josh Groban

Heidi: Okay, this clearly shows what a total SAP I am, but I just loved how Groban walked out there singing and Petra didn’t realize until Dmitry stopped her and pointed – the look on her face was just priceless. That woman is just an angel, I swear.

Courtney: I may have been rolling my eyes and saying “Surprise, surprise”, but I have to admit – Petra’s genuine look of surprise and delight was enough to make sitting through “You Raise Me Up” again worthwhile πŸ™‚ Such a doll…her gratitude for everything in life is just beautiful. Wish we could have a celeb like her on every season!

The Absolute, Without a Doubt, Stupidest, Most Awkward Bit of the Entire Season, Maybe the Entire Series: Wendy Williams interviewing herself.

Heidi: And trust me when I say that it did NOT get less awkward on the second viewing. It might have been worse because you knew what was coming. For the love of god. The only thing I can’t decide is if watching her dance would have been worse…or better.

Courtney: Let me answer that last query of yours: it would have been worse to see her dance.  That was the only good thing about this gawdawful filler – at least we didn’t have to see her move awkwardly through another cha-cha, quickstep, or foxtrot.  But a singular version of Wendy is annoying enough – I did not need the plural.  And poor Tony had to sit there and play along with the whole shitshow.  FAIL.

The “Me? A Westler? Nope, Comedian is My Current Occupation” Award: Chris Jericho

Heidi: This dude proved to be one of the more intriguing and unexpected characters on this season. Some hard-ass wrestler dude? Nah, he’s a comedian who imitates Bruno and throws himself on the judges table so that Bruno can lay one on him. πŸ™‚ The whole “rubbing my chest for no apparent reason” was just totally…right on. πŸ™‚

Courtney: Just like I wish Mike could have stuck around longer, I really wish we could have seen more of Chris, too – the guy was just so darn LIKEABLE. And his impersonations were spot-on – he really captured the nuances of both Len & Bruno’s accents perfectly.  *sigh* Somehow I think this season would have been slightly less agonizing to watch had we gotten more of Chris…

Real World Problem Award: Kendra falling off the judges’ table at the end of her samba

Courtney: Fact: drunken ass-shaking on elevated surfaces seldom ends well for us common folk.  But you’d think with a bevy of strong, coordinated, muscular guys there to catch her after she dipped, that Kendra would be in no danger of this kind of mishap.  WRONGO-BONGO!!! I’m still trying to figure out how she managed to nearly fall & bust her head open with 5+ able-bodied men within arm’s reach.  Can’t decide if they were just distracted (Teddy) or apathetic (possibly Tristan…;-)).

Heidi: They were trying to dodge pinches from Bruno and got distracted. πŸ™‚ HEY, it’s not out of the realm – dude has been WAY out of control all season long.

DWTS 12 – Brooke Burke Talks On The Dancing With The Stars Finals (Video)

KTLA interviewed Brooke after the Season Finale. She talks of how this Season had one the “nicest” casts they’ve ever had. The interviewers ask Brooke if they think Chelsea and Mark were robbed of the Mirror Ball. Brooke says it’s not fair to ask that because Hines had “rhythm” and related well to the audience. She was the most surprised at Kirstie’s success on the show, but, could see why she made it the finals on personality alone and women across America loved her. All this and more as Brooke promotes “Suave” as well.

DWTS 12 – Mark Ballas’ Blog Comes To A Close And Pia Toscano Speaks About Their Friendship

Mark has penned his last blog (and a deep one at that!) for the Season at USA Today. He writes of how much he will miss his new best friend Chelsea and shares some song lyrics that came to mind on the way back to Los Angeles on the red eye. He also talks of his plans for the summer, how music is his passion and what drives him, and hopes to see us again at his shows this summer and for Season 13. More below and at the link.

Let me assure you: We had the time of our lives. I’ve learned a lot from Chelsea and I truly cherish the time she and I spent competing this season. Even though we’ve come across a new turning point and we will take different forks in the road, she’s a lovely person and I’m blessed to consider her a close friend for life!

As the frenzy after the finale slows down, I now get to focus on my passion, which is my music. I had a lot of fun interviews when I was in New York with MTV, VH1, and a few others, and we’re gearing up to play some shows this summer. Those dates should be released soon on my website and social media sites, so please check for those if you want to catch me play live. One fun event I’m really looking forward to playing this summer is the Martin Owner’s Club Annual Event, held at the Martin Guitar Factory in Nazareth, Pa. It’s such an honor to be supported by the music icon that is Martin!

As I’ve said many times before, music is what drives me. Even when I dance, I consider my movement an extension of the music, with the musicality predicting what movements will occur. The biggest difference between the two, music and dance, is that dance requires you to color between the lines determined by the rules of the dance discipline and music allows you to do whatever you feel on a blank canvas.

It’s been a great ride, Team Kanenball. I greatly appreciate all the love and support (and birthday wishes!) that I received this week and all season long. The journey was memorable and the memories will last a lifetime. I hope to catch some of you this summer at one of my shows and also this fall for Season 13. Happy summer everyone!

Pia Toscano also spoke out about Mark being in the Finals on the show and their friendship at Radar On-line. She says they are dating their careers and nothing more. Below is a take. You can also hear her talk about it in some audio at the link as well.

β€œWe’re very supportive of each other,” Pia gushed about Mark. β€œI’m so proud of him – that he made it to the finals – and I’m sure he’s very proud of me as well.

β€œRight now though we are both dating our careers. We’re so involved in what we do. It’s an important time for me to really ride this wave and work really hard, so I have to stay really focused.”

And when it comes to all those late night β€˜I love you’ Tweets that fly between the two?

β€œHe’s just really sweet – he loves a lot of people!” Pia insisted. β€œWe’re just very close friends.”

DWTS12 Finale Week Search Engine Round-Up

Β Ok kids, here’s some fun stuff for you to get you prepped for the holiday weekend πŸ™‚ Looks like you guys have got body parts, romance, and casting rumors on the brain again! Gonna be interesting to see what else crops up in the search engine, now that the show is over…I have a feeling it’s gonna be pretty random…can’t wait! πŸ˜€

Who is Chelsie dating?

Beats me.Β  She’s been linkedΒ by the tabloids to just aboutΒ everyone, from Louis Vito, to Mark, and now to Romeo.Β  With her, it’s hard telling, since she does an exceptionally good job of keeping her emotions and personal life out of the public eye.Β  For all we know, she could be dating some good little Mormon boy back home, and all of the above liasons are just red herrings.Β  But hey – food for thought πŸ™‚

DWTS12 Winner

Hines Ward & Kym Johnson.Β  In case you’ve been living under a rock πŸ™‚

Maks tattoo

Yep, he has one on his upper left ribcage – I can’t tell exactly what it is, but it appears to be some sort of red, blue…swirly…thing.Β  It was done by tattoo artist Peter Koskela, and from what I’m gleaning from the Maks boards (which I don’t frequent, so I can’t vouch for their authenticity), it was done during his stint on Bachelor Ukraine.Β  But that’s all I’ve got…maybe one of the Maksettes can help out?

Jodi Sweetin

She played Stephanie Tanner on Full House, and she was a cast rumor for season 12…which means sheΒ couldΒ still be a cast rumor for season 13, since it can take a few seasons for these rumors to materialize into something legit.Β  I’ve heard that sheΒ wants Derek as her partner if she does the show, but I’m wondering if they would actually give him to her – seems like theΒ past few seasons, he’s been a bit of a bargaining tool forΒ TPTB to lure big names (Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Grey) to the show.Β  If they’re holding out forΒ another BIG nameΒ (that is also demandingΒ Derek as their partner), sorry Jodi – you may get stuck with Louis or Tony.Β  Β

Kym Johnson abs

Though not quite as awe-inspiring as the Awesome Boobage(TM), they, along with Kym’s legs, are one of the 7 Wonders of the World.Β I wish I could say that there was some magical trick Kym has for getting a taut tummy that I could share with the rest of us normal folk, but according to iFit & Healthy, it sounds like Kym’s hot bod is just the result of a lot of exercise with a personal trainer.Β However, I do know that a lot of the pros on the show (Karina in particular) are pretty fond of the It Cosmetics Abs in a Box Kit – so if you’d rather fake it than put in the time at the gym, I say go for it πŸ˜‰

Chelsea Kane-Mark Ballas romance

*sigh* REALLY, guys? Officially, Chelsea is dating Stephen Colletti.Β  Mark is officially/unofficially/who knows/etc. dating Pia Toscano (or is he…?).Β  Yes, ChelseaΒ & Mark got smoochy in some of their routines.Β Yes, Chelsea is the featured girl in Mark’s “Hotwire” video.Β But they’re both denying any hanky-panky.Β  Let’s put this one to bed, PUH-LEASE.

Mike Catherwood naked/nude/shirtless

You little horndogs πŸ˜‰ Not that I blame you…Mike’s bod is indeed a hot one.Β  However, shirtless pix of Psycho Mike are a rareity (for whatever reason, dude doesn’t like to show off his goods – lord knows why), let alone nude ones.Β  But I did manage to dig up a pretty good shirtless one snapped by TMZ as Mike was running on the beach in LA.Β  Mmmm mmmm mmm…I dunno about you guys, but god I love a well-muscled guy with a sprinkling of tats!

DWTS Season 12 – Chelsea Kane, Kirstie Alley, And Wendy Williams Dish About Dancing With The Stars Together (Videos)

Chelsea may have placed 3rd, but, Wendy Williams says that is good enough for her in this new interview on The Wendy Show. She is still a winner. Chelsea said she thought she’d be voted off early. So, she is pleased to get to Finals and for the recognition. She talks about her journey and how her and Mark are like brother and sister. She also talks a little on her future plans as well. More below.

Kirstie was also Wendy’s guest. They start out the interview talking about how annoying it is when the ‘age” factor is brought up. Kirstie thought she felt older at 24 than she does now.

We hope to have more of this interview with Wendy and Kirstie shortly.

DWTS Season 12 – Our Dancing Stars Do The Regis And Kelly Show

Yesterday our Final three couples were guests on The Regis And Kelly Show. All three were interviewed and Hines, Kym, Chelsea, and Mark danced for the audience as well (not sure why Kirstie and Maks didn’t dance too, but, believe me, their interview makes up for it!). Note how Derek Hough’s name came up in all three segments (since Regis jokes he wants to dance with him next Season lol).

Hines and Kim;

Kirstie and Maks;

Mark and Chelsea;

DWTS12 – ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Finals Costume Recap With Randall Christensen

The costume designer for our show, Randall Christensen, goals for the Finals was “to execute the celebrities’ most personal visions for their make-it or break-it dances” and he succeeded in doing just that….uhhh, well, except for Chelsea and Mark’s freestyle. But, not sure that is Randall’s fault as much as it was Mark’s (in my opinion). More below for how Randall and the dancers came up with their costumes from Stylelist.

Hines Ward and Kym Johnson: Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers were the inspiration for the couples’ quickstep look, which included a classic top hat, tuxedo and tails for the Pittsburgh Steelers pro. Johnson’s sublime gown featured white sheer mesh encrusted with 12,000 crystals and hand-dyed-and-cut guipure lace appliquΓ© work. For a contemporary twist, its sheer skirt was fringed with horsehair braid.

For their freestyle performance, Ward lived out his marching band fantasy in custom-made drum major regalia. Christensen’s team used velcro and gussets at the armpits to give Ward tear-away sleeves to crank up his dance moves. Meanwhile, custom costumes for the musicians that joined the couple on stage were ordered from Texas in Steelers’ black and gold and arrived “in the nick of time.” Johnson’s majorette “boots” were actually spandex spats slipped over her Latin dance shoes for ease of movement. Her gold fringe minidress was a sexy take on the majorette/cheerleader look.

Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas: Since she first slipped on Christensen’s fringe party in the U.S.A. pants during Patriot’s Week, the actress has been a fan and requested the style for her samba. For more fun, Christensen added fringe under a row of thousands of hand-beaded crystals on top. “It was tons of work, but hey it’s the finale,” he says. “And I have to admit it. No one wears fringe pants better than Chelsea.”

For their “Tron”-themed freestyle, the couple deviated from classic ballroom style and requested costumes that didn’t exactly match. Kane wore a turquoise bra-top and Ballas a lime-bedazzled suit. “That surprised be a bit since Mark’s suit was such a bright color, but I obliged them because I want to empower each couple and they should have what they want for this very important routine.” The battery operated shoes and gloves were installed by singer Chris Brown’s lighting team and “it was a wiring nightmare with all the lifts and choreography.” While the drama was spectacular the special effects were a fashion challenge: Kane said after the broadcast that one of the battery packs slipped off after her first big move and was dangling during her performance.

Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: The actress wore a minidress featuring Carnivale hues of bright orange, yellow and lime green accented with crystal infused fringe for her sexy, sassy samba.

For her freestyle to Pink’s “Perfect,” Christensen deliberately outfitted Alley in a monk-brown dress, which was torn off to reveal a formfitting black unitard that showed off the slimmed-down figure of the actress who has lost 60-plus pounds in the ballroom. The designer’s fashion message? “Hello world, here is the new Kirstie, hot and fabulous.”

“Kirstie has been transforming right before our eyes and what an eye-popping end to such a glorious journey. And that was all Kirstie with just a bodysuit and her magnificently toned body.”

So, who had your favorite and least favorite costumes this week? Kym and Hines were my favorite and I won’t go there again for what I thought of Mark and Chelsea’s. 😯

Pure DWTS 2011 – Tom Bergeron Rates Season 12, Dishes On Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s Return, & Announces Date For Season 13

I can’t embed this video or audio, but, Tom Bergeron was interviewed by Popwatch in his dressing room after the show Tuesday night (his dressing room is cool). In the audio, Tom talks about the Mirror Ball Trophy and the season as a whole. Overall, Tom was happy with Season 12 and how it had some of the highest ratings compared to other Seasons. He gave it an 8 1/2 rating. He dishes about some of the teasing between cast members and how much this cast will miss each other. He also mentions Maks and how he is retiring the pinch he gave Tom every week which alludes to how Maks might not be coming back next Season (please say it isn’t so. πŸ™ ). In the interview, he also mentions how September 19th is the premiere date for Season 13. Mark that date on your Calendars. More in the video and audio >>>>>HERE. Don’t miss it!!

Special thanks to Figamentation for the Popwatch link.xx

DWTS 12 – Mark Ballas On Season 12 Being More Than Just About Dancesteps

Mark says he has “no regrets” in his new blog at USA Today. He also says this season wasn’t just about dance steps. It was about artistry and telling stories that he had so much fun doing with Chelsea. More below including a take about what the show and journey is like. Don’t miss Mark and Chelsea and the other contestants on the Regis and Kelly Show today (Thursday). We’ll try to get some video coverage for you later.

It’s a great feeling to write this to you now, knowing that Chelsea and I went all out to win the mirrorball trophy. Although we didn’t take it home, I am so proud of what we did this season. I look at it this way β€” this season wasn’t just about dance steps, it was about artistry and telling stories, expressing ourselves as artists. We had so much fun performing each week for all of our fans.

BLOG:Behind the scenes with Mark Ballas

I can not put into words how extremely proud I am of Chelsea. Over the past 14 weeks, Chelsea transformed herself into a true dancer. She became, in my opinion, the strongest dancer in the competition, and she didn’t take a misstep all season! It was a great ride and making to the finals was wonderful, but we congratulate Kym and Hines for coming out on top!

A lot of people ask me what a season of Dancing With The Stars is like. My best analogy is that it’s like a roller coaster. A roller coaster that you’re apprehensive about getting on at first because you know the ride will be exhausting emotionally, mentally, and physically, all the while exhilarating and making you feel alive. It twists, turns, speeds up, takes you for a loop, makes you scream, makes you smile. Then, when the ride ends, you don’t want it to be over. You never want it to end, actually. Even though it beats you up, you want to keep going and experiencing the ride, just because you know it’s a moment in your life you’ll never forget.

And this roller coaster ride is coming back in to the stall. I’m writing this to you from the green room of Good Morning America. The six of us (the three final couples) went straight from the show and press line to Burbank Airport, bound for Manhattan. There wasn’t much sleep on the plane. Each of us recounted the season, trying to remember the many hilarious stories of the past 14 weeks. The ups, the downs, the falls, the sprains, the blood, sweat, tears, and all the smiles and touching moments we had.

Dancing With The Stars 12 – After Finale Media Part 1 (Interview Round Up)

First, I want to start out this post saying that the news, media, commentary, polls, contests, and blogging for Dancing With The Stars doesn’t stop here with the finale of Season 12. We update all through out the off season for what comes out for news, next Season cast rumors, interviews, special commentaries, and more. John is talking about a new Jewelry Contest. Heidi has some cool commentaries coming up she promised to write. Courtney is planning to continue writing the Search posts. She’s also planning to do a special Awards which was a kick last year. So, be sure to check back regularly if you are dance and blogging nuts like ourselves and thanks so much for reading and partaking as you have this past Season. You all rock and have added great fun, thought, and insight into making this Season even more special.

With that said, here are some fun interviews after the show last night from On The Red Carpet, Jimmy Kimmel, Access Hollywood, and Good Morning America.

Below is Kym and Hines reaction to being the Season 12 Mirror Ball Trophy Winners. They had so much fun. Kym says she knew Hines would be special when she saw that warm smile and how he never complained when they had to work so hard.

Here the winners are again. They said they didn’t know who would win since the competition was so close. Hines said he owes everything to Kym. They plan to always keep in touch.

Below is Kym and Hines on Jimmy Kimmel. As always Jimmy asks some serious questions and some goofy ones too.

Moving on to the others. Maks starts out praising Kirstie and how much he learned about himself through this expereince with her in this interview. He says it’s been “THE most incredible Season” for him and the “most rewarding”. Kirstie learned so much too and she feels Maks has healed her from being “broken”. They are bittersweet. It’s hard not to be moved by these two.

Kirstie talks of how much she wanted the Mirror Ball for Maks in this interview. She talks about how Maks woke her up. There is so much about Maks people don’t know…two being he is an amazing actor and so funny. Kirstie thanks all of her fans with a special message.

Chelsea is so excited and thankful for this experience. Mark said what he loved about this Season is that it was about “artistry and creating paintings” for him since he had such an amazing partner in Chelsea. She’s looking forward to the doors that have opened for her because of this show.
