DWTS Season 19 – Rumor Roundup!!!

Greetings from hot & sunny Spring, TX πŸ™‚ I’m actually typing this poolside at my aunt’s house, as I’m on vacation right now – but Vogue & Heidi have been putting in some serious hours on the casting rumors, and as I have the past few seasons, I thought it might be good to work up a good summary post for all the casting rumors that have cropped between the end of last season and right now.Β  😎

If any new casting rumors pop up between now and the cast announcement next week, I’ll try to update – but at the rate they’ve been flowing these past few days, it might not happen immediately.Β  Please be patient πŸ™‚

I’ve divided our potential dancers this season into 5 categories: the “legitimate possibilities”, which are rumors that have surfaced within the last week or so (when most casting leaks occur) and come from sources that are generally pretty reliable when it comes to casting leaks; the “long shots”, which are rumors from less-reliable sources, vague tweets, and ambiguous responses from the celebs themselves – basically, rumors that we aren’t really as confident about; the “wannabes/campaigners”, who are celebs who have expressed interest in doing the show (but haven’t actually been reported as a rumor by any reputable outlets); “pure randomness”, which is for random and slightly interesting observations that may or may not indicate a certain celeb’s possible participation in this season – generally, they mean nothing, but we’re adding them here for sh*ts & giggles. πŸ™‚ And then there are the “no’s”, the celebs that have confirmed that they won’t be participating in this season.

Legitimate possibilities:

Andi Dorfman
Randy Couture
Kacy Catanzaro
Antonio Sabato Jr.
Janel Parrish
LoloΒ Jones
Sadie Robertson
Betsey Johnson
Lea Thompson
Bethany Mota
Jonathan Bennett

Longshots:

Lindsay Lohan
Meagan Tandy
Tommy Chong
Colton Smith
Andy Pettitte
James Storm
Shania Twain
Ashley Gold
Landon Donovan
Tim Howard
Kandi Burress/someone from Bravo
Josh Murray
Sara Evans

Wannabes/Campaigners:

Vincent M. Ward
Jane Savoie

Pure Randomness:

Tavis Smiley
Carly Steel
Shemar Moore
Courtney Robertson

The “No’s”:

Jim Kelly

So which rumors are you guys most excited about? Which ones do you think are bogus? Let’s hear it!

Ultrasound sales specialist by day, semi-knowledgeable DWTS fan by night...with a smattering of hair & makeup enthusiast, occasional model, baker, and crazy cat lady peppered in to make things REALLY interesting ;-) I might pee my pants in happiness if Donnie Wahlberg ever does DWTS - or if they ever use "Sunglasses at Night" as a paso doble.

DWTS Season 19 Watch Out: Courtney Robertson To Dance?

Courtney Robertson has a new book coming out soon that mentions she was once considering doing Dancing With The Stars when she was engaged to Ben Flajnik. However, she turned the show down since Ben didn’t approve. Below is more from Reality TV World. Kind of makes one wonder on whether she’d still do Dancing With The Stars now since they eventually broke up? Thoughts? Look for Heidi’s thoughts after you read this quote….

I had a secret meeting with the producers of Dancing with the Stars and they wanted me as an alternate, just in case anyone got hurt. The payday was incredible: $125,000 just to show up and $30,000 for every week I made it through. Cha-ching!” Robertson wrote in her upcoming memoir, I Didn’t Come Here to Make Friends — Confessions of a Reality Show Villain Courtney Robertson.

“‘They offered it to you?’ he asked incredulously. I noted a tinge of jealousy. I hadn’t even thought about this kind of stuff yet and how it would affect our relationship. I was just excited the opportunity was there.”

“‘If you do it,’ he added coldly, ‘you won’t have a fiance.'”

“I felt like I’d been punched in the gut,” Robertson wrote in an advance copy of the memoir obtained by Reality TV World.

“I can’t believe you’d even bring it up,’ Ben growled, even more pissed off.”

“This was not a good start,” the former bachelorette continued.

“I dropped the conversation and ultimately dropped out of the potential Dancing with the Stars casting, even though we could have bought our first house together with that money. Instead we spent the first three months of our public engagement staying in his frat house of an apartment when I’d visit.”

Heidi: I believe she probably was considered as an alternate at the time – she was a rather controversial “winner” of the Bachelor and got a lot of people talking. But the Bachelor/Bachelorette contestants have a VERY short shelf life and I doubt very much that she would make the cut today – unless her book is a huge best seller. I read a review of it on RealitySteve.com and it sounded kinda interesting, if only to see what kind of crap goes on behind the scenes on that show. Anyway, since she was considered back then only as an alternate, I doubt she would make it even that far today.

DWTS Season 14 – Courtney Robertson Update

Oy veh. I would have added this to the post that Vogue did previously, but then I decided that I would give it it’s own place. So we can complain some more. πŸ™‚ DWTSGossip found this little nugget on what is apparently Courtney’s Facebook. I have NOT vetted this or checked it out to see if it’s real and I would appreciate someone debunking this stuff. πŸ™‚

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

Is Courtney Robinson Going To Appear on Dancing With The Stars Season 14?

I honestly have no idea how to take this news? Could Courtney Robertson of The Bachelor be joining the Dancing With The Stars cast of Season 14 or is this just a guest appearance of some kind? This is nutty. 😯 Let’s get Miss Heidi’s thoughts since she watches The Bachelor and be sure to let us know your thoughts as well….

Sources tell PEOPLE that the Ford model – whose antics annoyed her fellow Bachelor contestants – is in talks with Dancing with the Stars producers and that it’s possible she could make an appearance on the March 19 season premiere.

When asked about the rumor, a show rep said simply, “We do not comment on casting rumors. You’ll have to tune in Monday and see.”

If Robertson, 28, were a last-minute addition to this season’s cast, she would only have five days to rehearse. Not that it can’t be done as evidenced by former Bachelor contestant Melissa Rycroft, who was a last-minute addition in season eight when she replaced an injured Nancy O’Dell.

You can read the full article at People.

Heidi: People Magazine is likely full of crap. If she shows up, what would she do? If she dances, who would she dance with?? Dmitry?? He’s the only one tall enough for her that doesn’t have a partner. But the main reason why I think this is bull is because she declined EVERY other media appearance that she wasn’t contracted to do this past week. She and Ben both were supposed to be on Kimmel, GMA and a host of other things and they turned them all down so they could “work on their relationship”. (hahaha…okay, right). So, is DWTS a big enough draw that she would say yes to it?? And I have to say – this better not be true because that would mean TWO double eliminations. But she would likely go first because she’s pretty universally hated. Another reason for her to not do it.
