This looks fun. Needing a dancing fix to tie you over until the new season of Dancing With The Stars begins? If so, be sure to take in “Step Up: Revolution”.
“Step Up: Revolution” is the 4th installment of the “Step Up” dance film series. If you haven’t seen the last three “Step Up” movies, be sure you rent or purchase the DVDs. I’ve seen all three and all three are excellent with the third, “Step Up 3D”, being my favorite. Here is one of my favorite scenes from Step Up 3D. Can you see why?
“Step Up: Revolution” is produced by Step Up 3D director Jon Chu and directed by Scott Speer. It stars Kathryn McCormick from the sixth season of “So You Think You Can Dance” and will feature choreography by dancer and dance instructor Travis Wall who is also best known for his 2006 appearance as a competitor on the second season of “So You Think You Can Dance”.
To meet the leads, the mob, and the choreographers of “Step Up: Revolution” in some fun videos, you can visit our sister site Pure So You Think You Can Dance. “Step Up: Revolution” hits theatres on July 27th. If you see it, be sure to let us know. Below is the official trailer…
Many of you have probably seen the Instagram above from Derek Hough’s twitter or Pure Derek Hough. It’s a still from his movie Cobu3D. It’s so hot, I had to post it too. I have other reasons for posting it as our Princess Heidi has a new video teaser you all need to see of Derek on the set and looking fabulous as always. What’s more, Derek is sporting a tattoo (note: Heidi reports the tattoo was done only for the MOVIE!) Be sure to read all about it, view the video, and see some new set pics at Pure Derek Hough. This movie is just looking that more interesting by the day. Who plans to go see it on it’s premiere weekend?
Just a reminder: Don’t forget Derek will be helping to co-host on LIVE! With Kelly again on February 6th!!!
Take a look at these two tweets below. Derek Hough and Nappytabbs (choreographers that help with So You Think You Can Dance and who helped with Derek’s new movie, Cobu3D) announced they are official board members of the DizzyFeet Foundation. The DizzyFeet Foundation was founded in 2009 by Nigel Lythgoe, Adam Shankman, Dancing With The Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba, and Katie Holmes. Their mission is “to support, improve, and increase access to dance education in the United States.” In doing so, they help to “(1)provide scholarships to talented students studying at accredited dance schools, studios, or institutions; (2)establish national standards for dance education and an accreditation program for dance schools in all of the major styles of dance; and (3)develop, provide, and/or support dance education programs for disadvantaged children through and with local community organizations”. You can read more on their work at the DizzyFeet Foundation.
I am officially a DizzyFeet Foundation Board Member. Look forward working with a great group of people to help the arts .
Wow, what a steamy picture, huh?!! Talk about taking a girl’s breath away! 😯 Above is an “instagram” Derek Hough tweeted which looks like a movie still he played with from his new movie Cobu3D. Derek has been putting in some long days helping with the finishing touches to the movie. Our Miss Heidi has even more pictures she’s found floating around out there of Derek on the set of Cobu3D, etc. So, be sure to check out Pure Derek Hough when you can to see all the latest.
Who can not wait for this movie to come out? This waiting is a killer!!
Leading up to the October 14th premiere of “Footloose”, Julianne Hough (former professional dancer on Dancing With The Stars and sister to Derek Hough) and fellow cast member, Kenny Wormald, have done a fabulous new photo spread for the September issue of Elle Magazine. You can watch them work their “magic” in a behind the scenes video below from E Online. No wonder these two were picked for their roles. I love what Kenny says on Julianne’s hard work ethic….
“She’s like the hardest working person I know,” says Kenny. “I was taking a nap one day, and our trailers were combined, and I was sleeping and I woke up because the thing was shaking. I was like what’s going on in Julianne’s trailer because she was working out with her personal trainer- getting fit during lunch while I’m taking a nap.”
