Some stunning new photos have been posted to Dance With Me Jr Facebook of Peta Murgatroyd, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Val Chmerkovskiy, and Tony Dovolani. The four dancing With The Stars pros joined up to hold a “fun and informative” Open House for Dance With me Studio’s new program for kids. You can see them meeting and greeting the kids, having refreshments, holding dance classes and yes, DANCING together too! Looks like they had a lot of fun! Check out 111 new photos of the event at this link.
Below is a fun little interview Tony Dovolani did with Tampa Bay’s “Daytime” show this past week. He dropped by to talk about a couple of big dance competitions he’s hosting and judging in the area. He also takes a time out to talk about winning Dancing With The Stars last season. Tony also had a few words to say about each of his partners in a game they played (lol to what he said on Kate Gosselin and Wendy Williams!). Not only that, but, he also gave one of the hosts of the show a dance lesson which you can see a picture of at this link. Fun segment!
Val Chmerkovskiy did a segment for Long Island, New York’s News 12 to show anchor Elisa DiStefano how to dance and just in time for Valentine’s Day! There are some great photos of the two at News 12 here. Be sure to check them out if interested. They are adorable. There is also a video at this link (log in required).

What a season this is going to be! Are you excited yet? I’m so excited I can barely type these days when something exciting comes up. Here’s to Monday!
Carson Kressley is cracking me up again. Below is what he posted at his Facebook today for why fans should vote for him for the 13th spot on Dancing With The Stars. Figures about #3 though. Why am I not surprised?
The 5 Reasons to vote for Carson c/o ABC News:
1. I’ve been practicing a lot. My rumba looks amazing. Oh, and did I mention my dancing’s gotten pretty good, too?!
2. I’m an athlete. No really, I was the world champion amateur riding at the Worlds Championship Horse Show in 2009.
3. I reached out to Bristol Palin on Twitter. No response, but I think we could be friends!
4. I’ve already started designing my costumes. Let’s just say “sparkly” is an understatement.
5. Maks gives amazing shoulder massages and I have to get back on for All-Stars, so I can return the favor!
Also, here is Carson on Good Morning America today. FUN FUN FUN!!
Stay tuned. We find out MONDAY who will fill the 13th spot on Good Morning America! We’ll post the coverage as soon as we can.
ADDING: Carson also has a new blog up at parade.com that is well worth the fun read. Below is a take….
And that’s exactly what I thought when I heard I was one of three fan favorites nominated to be selected by the fans as the thirteenth contestant on the show! Isn’t everyone a former mirror ball winner? The answer is no…not Kirstie Alley, not Pamela Anderson and not Bristol Palin!
I think the rationale is that you didn’t have win your season, but you did need to bring something unique to the show— and you need to appeal to the show’s wide variety of fans.
For me it crystallizes into one word: sparkle. The show needs sparkle. Sure, Emmitt Smith will bring his athletic game to the season. Yes, Kelly Monaco will show the skill she showed to win season one. And most certainly Olympian Apolo Ohno will be great as well. But do they have sparkle? Do they have a sense of fun? Will they wear hot pants? Nope. That’s my job.
Dancing with the Stars is a variety show in the greatest sense of the word. There is live music, singing, dancing, drama and comedy. And what they need is not a cast of all great dancers and former champions, but a variety to keep it fun and interesting. It’s about being entertained. Did I mention they need ME?!
And how fun would it be to see me and the likes of Bristol Palin battling it out? Me and Pam Anderson comparing notes on hair color? And then, there is the intense sexual chemistry between me and Maks.
Right on Carson!! I want to see the hot pants!
Kyle Massey was a guest on The Insider to campaign for the 13th spot on the All Stars season of Dancing With The Stars. He does some dance moves with the interviewer and explains how excited he is to campaign and do the show if picked. He’s “ready” for all the motions and everything it takes..the long hours of rehearsals, etc.. He also talks of the success run of the Dancing With The Stars Live In Las Vegas show. He has some tricks planned if picked to do the All Star season, but, he will do whatever the fans want. He speaks highly about Bristol Palin and her family. Here is more in detail….
UPDATE: You can also watch Kyle on Good Morning America today HERE.
Today dancers from Maks, Tony, and Val’s ‘Dance With Me Studios’ were on Good Morning America. They set the stage in the background dancing while Sabrina campaigned for votes for the All Stars wild card spot on Dancing With The Stars. Fun! Check it out!
UPDATE: Below is Sabrina Byran on Ryan Seacrest On Air. She campaigns some more and also dishes on who she thinks will win the all star season of Dancing With The Stars. She picks Derek Hough and Shawn Johnson.
DWTS Tony Dovolani, Chmerkovskiy Brothers, Peta Murgatroyd Attend Dance With Me Studios Grand Opening In Stamford, Connecticut
Pictured above are Dancing With The Stars pros Toni Dovolani, Maks and Val Chmerkovskiy, and Season 14 champ Peta Murgatroyd. Last night they, family, and friends attended the Grand Opening of Dance With Me Studios in Stamford, Connecticut. You can view a fun article and more photos on the event at CT Post. Below is a little take….
“It’s amazing,” Murgatroyd said, looking around the burnished wood floors and dripping chandeliers of the expansive studio. “I have gotten no sleep, but it’s great to be here supporting Maks and Tony and Val. It’s going to be a booming success here.”
Perched on the fifth floor of 20 Summer St., the studio has been open to clients for just over a month, but Dovolani and the Chmerkovskiys used the occasion of the show’s season finale to invite new students, business owners, and the Stamford community to view the space. This is the fourth dance studio the three business partners have opened in the tri-state area since 2005.
“One of the things we take pride in is that we can teach anybody how to dance,” Dovolani, a Stamford native, said. “People always ask, `What’s the appropriate age?’ Now is the appropriate age. There’s no one who’s too young or too old.”
Since finishing their appearance on this season of “Dancing With the Stars,” the dancers will have a little more time to devote to their budding enterprise in the city.
“This is where I’m going to live until this studio is completely successful and everyone in Fairfield County is dancing,” Dovolani said.
Even when Dovolani and the Chmerkovskiys are not in attendance, the studio will still offer a high level of instruction, Val Chmerkovskiy said, with a widely recruited and well-vetted staff.
“What we’re trying to do is give people the experience that our stars get on `Dancing With the Stars,’ ” Chmerkovskiy said. “Yes, they will get our interaction, but they will also get the same education and end product. You will get that end product with us or without us.”
Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Tony Dovolani, & Val Chmerkovskiy Talk Dancing, DWTS, Dance With The Studios, & More
Wendy Wild of WKTU in New York recently interviewed Maks, Val, and Tony while visiting and taking a dance lesson at Dance With Me Studios. She asks some really interesting questions like if they think dance is more like exercise or therapy. She asks Tony what advise he’d give celebrities during “discouraging moments” when dancing on Dancing With The Stars. She asks Maks point blank how much of his rebellious moments on the show are “real”. She asks more great questions too including their roles in Dance With The Studios. More below for how they answer. Fun picture at the link as well.
Excellent interview!! Thanks to @DWTSMaksimFans at twitter for the heads up on this news!
ADDING: Val and Maks were interviewed by CBC Radio in Quebec, Canada. They talk about what goes into doing Dancing With The Stars with celebrities who are vulnerable on the dance floor. There are personality barriors and emotions and pride can get in the way. In the end, it’s worth all the negatives. They talk of their relationship as brothers too. Another super interview! You can listen to it here. We hope to have more coverage with these two. They are in Montreal currently for a dance, meet, and greet. Stay tuned.
Entertainment Tonight interviewed Maks at his Birthday bash last Friday night!! He talks of how thankful he is for everyone who came for the event. He remarks on Demi Moore’s recent troubles saying he hopes everyone will leave her in peace so she can get better. Kirstie Alley is interviewed as well. She’s asked on whether she will be Mak’s partner if there is an “Dancing With The Stars All Star Season” which is possibly in the works two seasons from now as you might have read from a previous posting. They interview Tony and his wife. He plugs Victor Cruz for Dancing With The Stars. Check out Sherri Shepherd as well. She is literally dying to dance on Dancing With The Stars (in my opinion!). She remarks of wanting to Samba, but, doesn’t think she can “keep up with the youngsters”. Erin Andrews and Chelsie Hightower gives Maks’ future partners some good advise (and I mean some REALLY good advise!! LOL). Lots more below….
Below is Tony with Extra also interviewing Kirstie. He also asks her on the Dancing With The Stars All Star Season too. I am so game if she will be his partner!!
