Julianne Hough attended ELLE’s 21st Annual Women in Hollywood Celebration at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Stunning. Click the photos below to see more.
Allison Holker has written about her ending journey with Jonathan Bennet on Dancing With The Stars. She enjoyed the experience and hopes to return for future seasons. I hope she does as well. More at In Touch including pictures from behind the scenes.
I learned a lot about myself as I’m going on this journey as well. I have had so much growth, and I am so grateful to have been given this opportunity. All things happen for a reason and this show brought back a fight in me and a special spark that I hope continues to flame. Thank you “Dancing With the Stars” for giving me an awesome opportunity! It was wonderful to be a part of something so great.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this experience with Dancing With the Stars. And I hope it’s only the beginning!
A special thank you to my parents Dave and Nikki Holker, my husband Stephen Boss, my daughter Weslie and my hero Paula Abdul for coming out and always supporting me. I love you guys. And to all of my family, friends and fans — you guys mean the world to me, and I hope to make you always proud.
Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater were interviewed by KTLA this morning about Dancing With The Stars. They felt so good about their dance last night.
Also, below is some fun coverage of Emma and Michael at the Talladega this past weekend. Look for a Part 2 at this link coming soon.
If you head to People, you can read about how Julianne Hough and her style team put her look together for Dancing With The Stars last night. You can also see some back stage photos. I thought she looked amazing as always last night. What did you think?
“We wanted something strong and clean with a little edge,” Hough tells PEOPLE. “Kaufman Franco is one of my favorite designers — the sexy simplicity that surrounds each dress is so dramatic and I’ve had so many amazing red carpet moments with them. We loved the cutouts that were subtle but a little rock ‘n’roll. I felt bold, sexy and elegant.”
The coolest part, though? The out-there beetle-bedecked handpiece she sported [below]. “[I loved] the amazing hand piece by the ridiculously talented jewelry designer Daniella Villegas,” she says. “Quite simply, she’s an artist. Sitting on the judges; panel I use my hands a lot and so it’s a really fun, incredibly unique piece of jewelry that’s eye catching and perfect for TV!”
Stylist Anita Patrickson says of the memorable jewelry choice: “We knew we we wanted something simple yet striking for the accessories and we were undecided until I sent Dani a picture of Julianne’s dress the morning of the show. Within 5 minutes she came back with this idea. The hand cuff was a surprise and she only saw it an hour before she had to be on set. I hadn’t wanted to get her hopes up in case were couldn’t get it in time. When she saw it and her face lit up, it made all the stress completely worth it!”
I can’t stop watching these over and over!!
What a fun night of dances last night. Let’s get right to some media after the show. Below are some new interviews with ABC7, Access Hollywood, and Afterbuzz TV. Note that the interviews are shorter than normally since they were headed to rehearsals for the TEAM dance after the show last night. You can also see some beautiful photos of them all at ABC7 and the Daily Mail. Glamour also has some back stage highlights on the night. Note that from all the media so far, we learn that Derek and Bethany have a Paso Doble as we spoiled at Pure Derek Hough last night and Derek says he has some “ideas”. Janel and Val have a Viennese Waltz and they are planning to do a “Pretty Little Liar” shout out. Peta and Tommy have a Quickstep and they have some “Rocky Horror” music. Artem and Lea have an Argentine Tango and it’s going to be “sexy”. Also, no interviews with Emma and Michael…not yet anyway?
To read on the Team Dances, see THIS POST. Stay tuned and keep checking back for updates! Be sure to visit Pure Derek Hough for more interviews and coverage on Bethany and Derek too. Shewww….take a listen below. These are fun….
It’s super early, and I’m tired, so I’m just gonna cut right to the chase – the teams for the team dances are…
ETA #1: Updated with songs for both teams. Methinks this should level the playing field a bit…
ETA #2: Added two polls to see how things stack up…
Team Alfonso (song: “Time Warp” from Rocky Horror Picture Show):
Alfonso & Witney
Sadie & Mark
Antonio & Cheryl
Tommy & Peta
Team Bethany (song: “Black Widow” by Iggy Azalea feat. Rita Ora):
Bethany & Derek
Janel & Val
Lea & Artem
Michael & Emma
It sounds like the team dances are freestyles once again, and they both have Halloween music. One team has “Black Widow” by Iggy Azalea feat. Rita Ora. This is all I know right now.
My thoughts? The teams are far more evenly-matched then they have been in previous seasons, but Team Bethany probably has the edge by virtue of having 2 trained dancers and Derek; on the flipside, I think they also ended up with the weakest dancer currently left – Mike, so he could be a bit of a liability. Funny how one team ended up with 3 male celebrities & 1 female celeb, and the other team ended up with 3 female celebs & 1 male celeb.

I can’t believe we’re already at Week 6 – and we’ve had a whole bunch of mediocre dancing with a few standouts.
Again, DWTS wants us to pimp the livestream so….you can view Lacey’s Stream on our site, just click the link.
Once again, comment to your hearts contents, as long as you remember the show night rules. Some of you were VERY bad at this last week. If I see any repeat offenders this week, you might find yourself on moderation. I’m serious…the one line comments with no context were ridiculous. Use dancers names – not everyone is reading in real time. It was bad enough that Courtney couldn’t get on the dashboard.
- Our server gets totally hosed when people sit at their computer and click “refresh” constantly. Post a comment, then walk away for five minutes so that others have a chance…and so that Courtney and I can actually post on the site.
- THIS SITE IS NOT TWITTER. Do not post like you are on twitter. You get one warning and then I put you in time out. We need context and content. Believe it or not there are a lot of people who don’t watch the east coast feed of the show, so they don’t know what the hell you’re talking about when you post a comment that says, “Boy, that sucked.” If you want to say “____ and ____’s dance was not good at all, crappy choreo” that’s fine. That would be context. It is good. Remember, if you post five one liners in five minutes, you’ve broken rule number 1.
OKAY, our first spoilers of the night are that the Team Dances are next week!! And Paso Doble is on the table.
Feel like I’ve seen this opening dance before…like, every week. Gee, look how fast those male pros disappear.
Okay, Tommy is SAFE…while Janel and Jonathan are in jeopardy. I don’t expect Janel to leave tonight, but I do think this is a harbinger. Although…the DWTS twitter did tweet about a “shock”.
I guess they just couldn’t bear to give Jonathan ONE 9?? That was a pretty damn good dance.
Anyone still want to argue that Val and Janel aren’t playing showmance?? I mean it was only their whole package, after being put in jeopardy. Anyone ready to deny they aren’t trying to get the shippers on board? (Both TPTB and Val/Janel themselves?) ::::crickets::::
Got distracted and didn’t see all of Janel’s dance – will have to go back to see the whole thing. …Read more
You can see a sketch of Sadie Robertson’s Rumba costume for Dancing With The Stars tonight at E Online. It looks like another beauty. So pretty.
We’ve got your exclusive first look at the outfit the 17-year-old realty TV star will be wearing tonight in the sketch above. While we’ve yet to hear Willie’s thoughts on the look, at least we know what Sadie thinks of her latest DWTS dress!
“I feel like a ballerina in it,” Sadie exclusively tells us. “It’s so beautiful. I love it.”
Designed by DWTS costume designer Daniela Gschwendtner, Sadie will wear the dress during her Rumba to “Diamonds” by Rihanna with partner Mark Ballas.
