The live two-hour season premiere of “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show,” TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET), will kick off with live interviews with Tom and the cast, offering an in-depth look at why each celeb has decided to return for another chance at winning the coveted mirror ball trophy. Global superstars Justin Bieber and Pitbull will hit the stage for unforgettable musical performances. Performing his second single, “As Long as You Love Me , ” from his latest album, “Believe ” Bieber returns to the ballroom for a knockout performance. Pitbull also joins the party with the primetime television debut of his new single, “Don’t Stop the Party,” from his upcoming album, “Global Warming,” out November 19th. Also during Tuesday night’s show, we will have a spectacular opening number featuring all the pro dancers of the season and The Troupe to a medley of “I Wanna Dance with Somebody/Dance Again,” choreographed by Jason Gilkison. The Troupe will return later that night to perform a number to “Go Get It ” which is also choreographed by Jason Gilkison. And before night’s end, the season’s first couple will be eliminated from the show.
Also, according to the Hollywood Reporter, the new Dancing With The Stars After Party, will be co-hosted by Joanna Krupa and Marc Istook. Kyle Massey will be reporting behind-the-scenes. Also, Elena Grinenko will be one of the guests and Lacey Schwimmer is to perform. Here are more details….
Season nine contestant Joanna Krupa will co-host After Party: Dancing With the Stars with Marc Istook, while season 11 runner-up Kyle Massey will give fans behind-the-scenes access.
After Party is a 20-25 minute live show that will launch on several online destinations, including the official show site on ABC, Facebook and the YouTube channel. The AT&T-sponsored series will feature expert panelists, celebrity audience members and dance performances by fan favorites. The co-hosts will be answering questions after each After Party episode.
The premiere episode of After Party will include former Dancing With the Stars pro Elena Grinenko and an acoustic performance by former competitor Lacey Schwimmer featuring the It Boys.
This is cool and I hope they have different performers every week.

“TWEETAPALOOZA”! I love that!!
USA Today has a great piece up of the Dancing With The Stars All Stars “getting back into the fray”. The stakes are high, the pros are more competitive going into this season, and there will be a “greater push for first-week heroics”. Everyone wants that mirror ball. There are some quotes from Tom Bergeron and a few of the celebrities as well. They’ve been sizing each other up at the rehearsal studios and there is a lot of smack talk. More below and at USA Today. You can also read a breakdown on the couples at this USA Today link. Also, don’t miss more rehearsal footage released at AOL.com. A MUST SEE if you haven’t seen them yet!
“You have people who were the stars in their respective seasons,” says host Tom Bergeron. “With the stakes this high, there will be sweated spray tan all over the dance floor.”
The toll is all the greater with the passing of time. Lachey, now 36, realizes how long ago he won his Season 2 championship. “I’m six years older,” he says. “My knees are six years older, and my back. I’ve come to learn Advil is my friend.”
For every dancer there is a fascinating subplot as well. Marini will renew his dance rivalry with Shawn Johnson, who beat him out for the championship in Season 8. (“He’s coming after me, but I wouldn’t underestimate anybody,” says Johnson).
Meanwhile, Fatone and Ono are renewing their Season 4 duel in which Ono walked home with the trophy on the final night. “I got my eye on everyone,” says Fatone. “But I just don’t want Apolo to win again.”
The competitive flames rise even higher as most of the teams practice at the same L.A. location for the first time. “You’re trying to size everyone up,” says Fatone. “There’s a lot of smack talk. It’s highly entertaining.”
On result-night Tuesday, one All Star will be sent home. The fear of being the initial casualty calls for even a greater push for first-week heroics.
“Imagine how horrible it will be to the first person voted off. It’s not going to be fun for that person,” Bergeron says with a laugh. “I’ll try not to enjoy it too much.”
It is going to be horrible. I’m going to feel sorry for who ever goes home the first time. I wonder who it will be? Any last minute guesses? I’m going to guess it will be Melissa.
Mario Lopez was the first to “let the cat out of bag” when he mentioned there would be a Dancing With The Stars All-Star season on LIVE With Kelly. He also mentioned that the producers have called him to do the show, but, he wasn’t sure about coming back. Today, TV Guide is reporting he doesn’t think he’ll be able to do it. Below is more…
Talking about casting before the official announcement is a no-no. Now Lopez says, “I’m really busy, so I don’t think I’ll be able to do it. I don’t watch the show and didn’t even watch when I was on it. My mom wanted me to do it.”
Hmmm,…not sure what to think? I tend to think he could be persuaded. I don’t take this as a definite “no” yet, do you?
ADDING: Below is a tweet from Mario after this story broke out;
Finally, the interview many of us have been waiting for…Elena Grinenko and Rib Hillis of Dance Junkies TV interviews Sasha Farber!! He answers a few of our questions too from Pure Dancing With The Stars. What a fun and fascinating guy!! I love the bit about his schooling and when he talks about Australia. THANKS SHARNA, STUART, and ELENA!! EXCELLENT INTERVIEW ONCE AGAIN! xxx
Blah blah All-Star Season blah blah. That’s months away yet and I don’t find myself interested in it. Yet. I’m sure that will change. Sooner or later. I’m still thinking about the season that ended a mere two weeks ago. Because that’s who I am.
So, in looking at the way the show turned out, I saw a few people discussing what William’s REAL voting block was like. Some had a tendency to say “Oh, Katherine must have been killing it” or “Maybe William didn’t have it all along and he was getting by on margins” – well, being the nerd that I am, I just have to go back and LOOK and see if there are any conclusions to be drawn.
The final scores ended up being very close, with only one point separating Donald and William from Katherine. In order to win, Donald or William needed 3,740 more votes per million votes cast to get by Katherine. Obviously, Donald got those votes because he ended up beating her. William, on the other hand, didn’t get those votes because he came in third place. Pretty simple, right?
That’s not to say that William WASN’T getting more votes than Katherine, because he could have been – he just couldn’t cover the spread. I’m inclined to believe that William was pretty solidly in third place (and no better) all along – because of the pimping or in spite of the pimping, take your pick. Why do I think this?? Well, 3,740 is chump change when it comes to votes, but he couldn’t get past Katherine. While Katherine was a beautiful dancers, she was quite over hyped in the latter weeks as well (by the judges) – but she and Mark together were also very likeable.
The previous week, Katherine, William and Donald all had to get past Maria by the following margins:
– Katherine needed just over 13k per million votes cast to get past Maria, AND;
– Donald needed 8,700 votes per million votes cast to get past Maria, AND;
– William needed 4,350 votes per million votes cast to get past Maria
They all did that and Maria went home – so it seems to me that she was fourth place all along. Those aren’t huge numbers. However, there IS an argument to be made that Katherine was helped A LOT by her “back spasm” and the fact that people still think someone is safe with the high score. Sure, that could have helped Katherine…and maybe it did. It’s hard to say for sure. But it seems to me that if people got lax on voting for Maria because she had the high score, it would have been William in trouble and not Katherine. Because at the time it mattered the most, and with no sympathy vote in play, Willy couldn’t get past Katherine. For that reason, I think the winner, 2nd place and 3rd place were pretty solid. If you haven’t heard yet, Dance Junkies TV is going to be interviewing Dancing With The Stars Season 14 champ Peta Murgatroyd tomorrow (Friday). She’s one of my favorite female pros. I’m so excited.
As before, post all of your questions in the comments section and we’ll be sure Stuart, Elena, and Rib receive them. Though please NOTE: We ask that you don’t ask Peta on her love life, break ups, or whatever. In my opinion, those questions are getting old, it’s not our place to ask, and really, it’s none of our business. Besides, Peta’s career and personality are fascinating. This is our/your chance to really ask her some deeper questions in getting to know more of her and what makes her “Peta”.
Also, stay tuned for the new Sharna Burgess and Sasha Farber interviews. Stuart tells us “they were great”.
