This is such a cool interview with former Dancing With The Stars costume designer Randall Christensen recently at the ‘The Art Of Outstanding Television Costume Design’ exhibit at the FIDM Museum & Galleries on the Park in Los Angeles. He talks a lot about designing for Dancing With The Stars and how it came to be. Did you know he first designed Jennifer Lopez’s costumes for the movie “Shall We Dance”? So interesting. Loves this guy…
Several of the pros and contestants of Dancing with the Stars Season 14 were seen at the Sayers nightclub after attending a finale show party in Hollywood. Above are pros Derek Hough and Karina Smirnoff. You can view more pics of them at Zimbio Pictures. Miss Heidi has some hot video coverage of them as well at Pure Derek Hough. Don’t miss viewing those too if you haven’t done so yet.
Then last night, Karina was seen at the 12th Annual Lupus LA Orange Ball held at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. Picture below courtesy also of Zimbio Pictures. She looks fantastic, doesn’t she?
Brooke looks stunning no matter what she wears it seems whether it’s all glam for Dancing With The Stars or seen casually out and about shopping in Malibu as she is in this cute Maxi dress. You can read an article and view more pics of Brooke at the Daily Mail. One picture includes Brooke and her husband seen celebrating his birthday recently.
Pictured above is Dancing With the Stars Dance Troupe member Sharna Burgess. On May 19th, Sharna attended California’s L.A. Unified School District High Schools 4th Annual Beyond The Bell’s Take Action Leadership Campaign which benefits after school and in-school activities and programming as a vehicle to reduce violence, increase attendance, improve grades, and prepare students for college and the job market. You can view more pictures of Sharna at the event as well as other celebrities who attended at Getty Images. There is a fun little article at the Huffington Post and some pictures of the talent show part as well.
“I’d love for someone to enjoy my things and make memories with them, too,” Smirnoff says. Though she admits her items aren’t for everyone. “Dancing with the Stars is not known for wearing a lot of clothing,” she jokes.
People Stylewatch has a cool piece up with Karina Smirnoff and how she’s giving away some of her personally designed costumes on Dancing With The Stars to help her charity AIM. If you are interesting in buying some of her items and helping Karina’s charity which helps bring the arts to children in underprivileged families, visit Hip Swap. This is cool. Check it out.
