Aren’t these some fantastic shots of Peta Murgatroyd, Derek Hough, Chelsie Hightower, Tristan MacManus, Sasha Farber, Corky Ballas, Oksana Dmytrenko, and yes, one lucky fan? On June 3rd, as reported to you earlier with photos and video coverage, the dancing pros of Dancing With The Stars did a show in Green Bay, Wisconsin to help benefit Donald Driver’s charities. Photographer D.King of dkingofimagez.com raved about how blessed he was to shoot the event. You can see more photos and read his take on the night at his facebook page. If you need this photographer to shoot any of your events and to see more samplings of his work, be sure to visit dkingofimagez.com as he does some amazing work as you can see.
Finally, the interview many of us have been waiting for…Elena Grinenko and Rib Hillis of Dance Junkies TV interviews Sasha Farber!! He answers a few of our questions too from Pure Dancing With The Stars. What a fun and fascinating guy!! I love the bit about his schooling and when he talks about Australia. LOL to him doing everything his Mom told him NOT to do. Thanks Rib and Elena!!! Stuart too. I know you are out there too on this somehow.
If you’ve missed any of the earlier Dance Junkies TV interviews, be sure you see them all HERE.
This past weekend Peta Murgatroyd, Derek Hough, Tristan MacManus, Chelsie Hightower, Sasha Farber, and Oksana Dmytrenko flew to Green Bay, Wisconsin to partake in Donald Driver’s 5th Annual Charity Softball Game festivities one of which included a show Sunday night. Sasha tweeted the pictures above. Also, thanks to Sasha Farber’s You Tube, you can see he and Oksana in dress rehearsals for the show below. You can see Chelsie and some of the other dancers from Dancing With The Stars in the background. What a fun dance…
Also, the Sheboygan Press has a slew of pictures of Dancing With The Stars Season 14 Champs, Donald and Peta, answering questions for the press and Peta throws the first pitch in the softball game. Below are just a couple of them. You can see many more in a fun gallery at the link.
Donald and Peta thanked their fans for voting for them. Peta also admitted that she’s been swept up in the “green and gold spirit”. Here is more in a take from the WAOW ABC Channel 9. Note how Donald’s team won the game.
“They had everything to do with it and I couldn’t have done it without them. I tip my hat off to the fans. Me and Peta did our part. At the end of the day, it was up to the fans to win it all,” Driver said.
His dancing partner Peta Murgatroyd says she can’t help but get swept up in the green and gold spirit.
“It’s out of this world. I haven’t seen anything like this before. It’s crazy. It feels so good to have the support of Packer Nation and Wisconsin,” Murgatroyd said.
“I knew Packer Nation would come through,” Bartz said.
Some fans say they’ve never watched Dancing with the Stars before. But because of Driver, they not only tuned in, but voted.
“When a hometown favorite wins it and brings it home, that’s huge,” Josh Marnocha from Seymour said.
Peta even threw out the first pitch, right down the middle. And as for the game? Driver can add a softball title to his trophy case. The offense took down the defense 22-10.
What a budding dancing career this cool talent has and if judging fans reaction is any indication for how he helped Derek Hough and Maria Menounos in their Bollywood Trio dance, I’m going to be surprised if troupe member Henry Byalikov isn’t a teaching Pro on Dancing With The Stars very soon and a popular and much loved one at that! Would you agree?
Henry was hand-picked by Australia’s leading contemporary ballet choreographer Mr Graeme Murphy to perform as a principal dancer in his brand new Contemporary ballet company ‘Graeme Murphy’s Suite Synergy 2011. Henry’s impact in the production was immediately well received with such reviewer statements exclaiming me as a “Fiery Flamenco Star”, and distinguishing him from the rest owing to Henry’s extraordinary ability, “Henry’s Byalikov, whose powerful intensity of focus and dramatic use of footwork, upper torso and arms unfortunately showed up the inadequacies of the accompanying quartet of dancers in this style”.
After performing to thousands he was then sought out again and requested to create a dance number for the lead roles in the brand new musical King Kong. He was then engaged as a performer in the musical.
Following the success he had in the musical, the choreographer Mr John O’Connell chose Henry to feature in Baz Luhrmann’s ‘The Great Gatsby’, as well as to teach the lead cast, the likes of Leonardo Di Caprio, Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan, how to dance for the movie.
You can read more about Henry’s career here. Currently, “The Great Gatsby” has a December 25th release date. Below you can view the stunning trailer which features some of the cast dancing in several shots.
I’ll definitely be hitting the theatre to see this, will you? And wouldn’t it be cool if the producers of Dancing With The Stars featured Henry and the ballroom dancing in this movie on one of the results show to help promote it? A Dancing With The Stars fan can dream right?
Stuart and Elena of Dance Junkies TV have posted their new interview with Dancing With The Stars troupe member Sharna Burgess!!! Special thanks to those of you who asked her some cool questions which she answers too!!! Fascinating! See if you don’t agree.
If you’ve missed their earlier Dancing With The Stars interviews, be sure you check them out at Dance Junkies TV.
THANKS SHARNA, STUART, and ELENA!! EXCELLENT INTERVIEW ONCE AGAIN! xxx
If you haven’t heard yet, Dance Junkies TV is going to be interviewing Dancing With The Stars Season 14 champ Peta Murgatroyd tomorrow (Friday). She’s one of my favorite female pros. I’m so excited.
As before, post all of your questions in the comments section and we’ll be sure Stuart, Elena, and Rib receive them. Though please NOTE: We ask that you don’t ask Peta on her love life, break ups, or whatever. In my opinion, those questions are getting old, it’s not our place to ask, and really, it’s none of our business. Besides, Peta’s career and personality are fascinating. This is our/your chance to really ask her some deeper questions in getting to know more of her and what makes her “Peta”.
Also, stay tuned for the new Sharna Burgess and Sasha Farber interviews. Stuart tells us “they were great”.
Hey Pure Dancing With The Stars Dance Cadets , Dance Junkies TV has now booked two new exciting interviews this weekend with Dancing With The Stars Troupe members Sasha Farber and Sharna Burgess and they need your help. This is your chance to ask Sasha and Sharna whatever you wish in getting to know them and their careers better. You know the routine. Post your questions in the comments section for as many as you like (which I plan to do as well) and we’ll be sure Stuart, Elena, and Rib receive them. They’ll try and ask them as many as they can and mention you while doing so.
Again, thanks to all for your fun submissions in the past. You’ve helped to make the Dance Junkies TV interviews some of the best that you’ll find on the pros of Dancing With The Stars. Thanks as well to Stuart, Elena, and Rib for giving us fans this opportunity to communicate with them. Ok, ask away…
The Dancing With The Stars Make-up Team at Facebook has released loads of new photos from behind the scenes of week 8. Below are just a few. I’m always reminded of how much work goes into this show besides just dancing and how many people are involved. Be sure to see the link to see the full album. If you’d like to see the full size of the pictures below, click them. Stunning!
Broadway Showbiz has a fun new interview up with Dancing With The Stars Troupe member Sharna Burgess. She talks with them about when she began dancing and what age she decided it became her life, passion, and her dream. She also discusses if and when she will return to Broadway and of her other dreams. She also gives some hints on the Troupe dances for Motown Week. Here are a few excerpts. You can read more at the link. Special thanks to Carlos for the heads up on this interview. Picture above courtesy of Dancing With The Stars Make-up. Beautiful and such a passionate dancer! She’s future pro material in my opinion!
When did you decide you wanted to become a dancer?
I started dancing at 6 but I think it wasn’t until I was 17 that I knew that this was it for me, nothing else mattered. Dancing was no longer just something I did, it was who I am. As a younger teenager it was very much my parents pushing me, I just went where I was told because that’s the way it always was, but somewhere along the line it became my choice, my passion, MY dream. So I moved to London at 18 on my own to dedicate everything I had to my career. Best move I ever made!
How many hours a day do you practice each dance?
It changes depending on the difficulty of the number. Generally we do 3 days of between 6-8 hrs a day. Then camera blocking and band rehearsal and the rest. A lot of work goes into it.
Will they have another Broadway style dance off?
I am not sure but I hope so. I love that they bring in other styles. This coming week is Motown and we are bringing back some really classic steps… think Watusi, the jerk, the potato and a few more.
With the way they have been switching the Dancing With The Stars Troupe these last few seasons, it almost makes a fan not want to get too close or favor any of them? And yet, if it weren’t for the Troupe, we wouldn’t have the magnificent Tristan MacManus and the beautiful Peta Murgatroyd as teaching pros. “Change is good” though (or “beautiful” as my hair stylist likes to say. ) and maybe that is the case this season? From a couple of tweets from Dancing With The Stars 2nd year Troupe veteran, Sharna Burgess, Daria Chesnokova from last season’s troupe is out (this is sad. I just loved her, her passion when dancing, and her long hair!). Pro dancer (and girlfriend to Sasha Farber), Emma Slater is taking her place. Sharna has also tweeted that Dancing With The Stars Troupe veteran, Oksana Dmytrenko will be returning. Second year veteran, Sasha Farber, is also returning to the Troupe. According to an Australian dancer named Henry Byalikovat, he has been chosen to be in the troupe for Season 14 as well and he is beyond excited. Below is what he posted at his facebook page;
In LA! Finally settled in.. Got my phone organised, got my place organised and unpacked. Now to shower and get ready for meetings, fittings and rehearsals! DWTS USA Season 14 is going to be amazing WOOOPPPAAAAAAAAAA!
So, as of right now and what we can gather, below is who is dancing in this season’s Dancing With The Stars Troupe:
For the Girls: Sharna Burgess, Oksana Dmytrenko, Emma Slater For the Guys: Sasha Farber, Henry Byalikov
As you might have noticed, the third spot for the Guys is unknown. No word yet (that I can officially find so far? Maybe one of you know more?) if it will be Ted Volynets or Kiki Nyemchek who danced in the Troupe last season? However, if you’ve been following Ted at twitter, you know he’s been posting some questionable tweets eluding to the fact that he might not be dancing this season?
We hope for some official confirmation soon on everything with this subject.
If you’d like to know more on the new dancers above, be sure to check the links under their names. They both sound like they’d be fabulous on the show!!
