On Tuesday, the excitement continues as two-time former “Dancing with the Stars” champion Julianne Hough returns, performing a duet with her “Footloose “co-star Kenny Wormald to their remake of “Holding Out For A Hero.” Hough and Wormald star in the upcoming movie “Footloose,” a new take on the beloved 1984 classical film, directed by Craig Brewer and opening nationwide on October 14. After their duet, they will join Country Music Awards Entertainer of the Year nominee Blake Shelton for an unforgettable performance of the wildly popular song, “Footloose.” One of the UK’s best-selling musical artists, Susan Boyle, graces the stage with a rendition of “Unchained Melody,” a worldwide television network exclusive performance, accompanied by pro dancers Val Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd. Also performing is Raphael Saadiq, bringing the soulful spirit of the ’60s to the ballroom, singing an original version of “Soul Man.” And before we say goodbye to one more couple, Julianne Hough hits dance floor with her brother and “Dancing with the Stars” three-time champion Derek Hough, performing a Jive choreographed by them to “Shake Your Tail Feather,” on “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show,” TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

This results show is going to be so good. I can’t wait, can you? 🙂

The Dancing With The Stars Make-Up Team has released backstage pictures of the couples from week 3. Below are just a couple of the cool shots they took. You can view more HERE. After you view all the pictures, be sure take our new Best Costume Poll for Week 3 at the end of this post.

Tristan and Ricki….

Anna…

Kym….

So, if you were to pick the couple who wore your very favorite costumes for week 3, what couple would that be?

I’m voting for Carson and Anna, but, I also loved Maks and Hope and Tristan and Nancy’s costumes.

Dancing With The Stars Season 13 Las Vegas Odds After The Third Dance

I can never figure out how the odds makers in Las Vegas work? Below is OLBG’s odds after the dances this week. I think they probably have the top four right, but, what about the rest? I’m not sure Rob deserves to be as high as he is? Should Carson be last? I don’t think so!! 😯

J.R. Martinez 1.57

Ricki Lake 3.5

Chynna Phillips 7

Hope Solo 13

Robert Kardashian 29

David Arquette 34

Chaz Bono 151

Nancy Grace 251

Carson Kressley 301

Heidi’s Note: OMG they’ve jinxed Ricki!! 🙂  And JR. The final will now be Carson, Nancy and Chaz. These butt heads clearly don’t know what they’re doing. I do know I should have put money on JR and Ricki weeks and weeks ago.   Seriously, though, I think they’re closer. I think the probably have the top 4 partially right, although not necessarily in that order and the potential of Carson replacing any one of them is still high.  Depends on what the judges do re: Carson.

Dancing with the Stars Season 13, Week 3 – Who’s Dancing What…and When?

Week 3 already!! And we have personal stories week – which is never a favorite of mine, but they keep doing it anyway. As Courtney said on Twitter – it’s the night of a thousand rumbas. Lots of info out there (on twitter and in celeb videos) about songs this week so some of these are true spoilers and some…aren’t. 🙂 @DWTSGossip reported on Hope/Maks song and Chynna/Tony song, and Nancy herself spoiled her song.

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. Dancing With The Stars Season 13 Las Vegas Odds After The Second Dance

Once again, the Las Vegas Odds change after another week of dancing. Ricki is making a move to the top of the list finally and where she should be. J.R. and Hope have switched places. It’s a more correct shake up compared to last week’s odds. But, the odds makers still aren’t putting much faith in Nancy, her dancing ability, or her fan base which I think is a big mistake? I think they have Carson too low as well. What do you think?

J.R. Martinez 2/1

Hope Solo 3/1

Ricki Lake 5/1

Chynna Phillips 11/2

Kristin Cavallari 15/2

David Arquette 10/1

Carson Kressley 15/1

Robert Kardashian 15/1

Chaz Bono 50/1

Nancy Grace 50/1

Heidi’s Note: Well, no, I don’t think Nancy or Carson are too low. Remember, these are the odds to WIN the show. Actually win – it’s not really a ranking although it could certainly be viewed that way. And we have been viewing it that way. 🙂 I still don’t see why they have Hope ranked so high – I would switch her and Chynna, personally. I would also love to see what would happen if Ricki and Derek made it to the final. He’s never made it to the final and NOT won. But we have a long way to go before we start talking about that. Carson and/or Nancy could still play spoiler, a la Ty Murray or Kelly Osborne.

DWTS Season 13, Week 2 – Who’s Dancing What…and When?

Week 2 already and we have the Quickstep and the Jive.  Whoever had Cha Cha last week has Quickstep this week and whoever did V. Waltz last week has Jive this week.  I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m scared for Chynna, Hope and Ricki doing Jive.  Chynna and Ricki are older and both have issues that might make them have trouble with this dance; Chynna is tall and long limbed and sometimes the Jive doesn’t come off so well and Ricki is shorter but may have stamina issues. Hope is so gangly and athletic; it was well disguised in the V. Waltz, but I don’t know about this one. It will really require that she let go. I don’t think Rob will do that well at it either. Quickstep?? Hmmm…should be interesting. It *should* favor Kristin and Elisabetta – and the latter needs the help. The rest?? Could go either way, I think.

ETA: Thanks to our readers for their help with this last dance order update!

DWTS13 Week 1 – The Cheesecake Awards!

Finally! Here are the cheesecake awards!!  The first one of the season – we hope you enjoy.  🙂  They take a bit longer when you spend a lot of time cackling over screencaps. 😉

The Pottymouth Award: Maksim Chmerkovskiy

Courtney: Is it just me, or has Maks really developed an affinity for obscenity this season? 🙂 His package with Hope was littered with beeps.  Not that I’m complaining – sometimes I wish the show were a bit less PC and bit more…interesting.  And Maks cussing is kinda cool & hip…like a Russian Tarantino movie or something.  He’s Vikcent Vegavich.  Somebody get him a Royale with cheese and a glock…or maybe a Tokarev.

Heidi: Maybe he’s lost all Hope.  :::snicker::: Yeah, I used up all my good jokes on our other little project…the one with all the pictures. 🙂  Seriously, what does it say about me that I didn’t notice the swearing? 🙂

WTF? Costuming Award, Female: Cheryl Burke; (dis)honorable mention – Karina Smirnoff (for hair/makeup)

Courtney: It’s bad enough that you’re dancing to a song about Lake Michigan, Cheryl – why confuse us even further by wearing a dress that’s part bad Elvis tribute, part Xanadu, and part Liberace? The whole thing was just visually…baffling. Although the little arrows around the neckline pointing down did lead the way to the “business” area of the dress.  As for Karina – lovely, feminine, flowy pastel dress…with bright red Marilyn Monroe lipstick and a severe top-of-the-head school marm bun? Total disconnect there….did they have to change her dress at the last minute? I doubt it.  Is she trying to distract people from staring at JR’s injuries? Because he seems pretty comfortable with them (and joking about them!).  Who knows…but makeup department, please put her on red lipstick suspension until she can prove she deserves it!

Heidi: I think Karina can wear the really red lips…just not with that outfit and that hair.  Too much contrast…like my TV got out of wack or something. As for Cheryl – Chaz totally called it with the Elvis comment. What was she thinking?? If not for the cut down the front, it was like…an old lady ballroom dress or something.  You know, when your crazy grandma wears some wackass thing such that you don’t want to be seen in public with her.  Like…an old lady in a motor cycle jacket and leather pants….or…I dunno.  The whole thing has just thrown me off completely. 🙂  It makes me go all ageist and confused.

Courtney: It was a pair of shoulder pads and some clip-on earrings short of something my granny would have worn to the bingo hall on charity night….along with her matching “I <3 Bingo” hat & fanny pack (true story).   Read more..

Ultrasound sales specialist by day, semi-knowledgeable DWTS fan by night...with a smattering of hair & makeup enthusiast, occasional model, baker, and crazy cat lady peppered in to make things REALLY interesting ;-) I might pee my pants in happiness if Donnie Wahlberg ever does DWTS - or if they ever use "Sunglasses at Night" as a paso doble.

DWTS Season 13, Week 1 – Who’s Dancing What…and When??

Yay!!! We are once again back in season on DWTS…let the games begin. Be on the lookout for all of our regular features from all of the usual suspects, including Courtney’s Power Rankings, my Dancing by the Numbers, Marianya’s stats….and The Cheesecake Awards. My personal favorite. 🙂

And away we go – I will add the dance order as they’re tweeted. Keep in mind that usually on the first night the dance order matches the last two digits of the phone number, SO I have assumed that is the case for right now. During final dress rehearsal the order sometimes gets changed but the phone number does NOT. I’ll be watching to make sure I have the right dance order and I’ll update as we go through the show if necessary.

ETA: Changes will be in RED from here on out.
