Dancing with the Stars Music – Maxwell and Debi Nova

I think I shed a tear tonight when the #SAVEKate campaign failed. I know that Courtney and Heidi are likely rejoicing, but the more venom people spewed at Kate the more I liked her. Plus, she looked great on Dancing with the Stars. I totally dig the long hair. Anyway, enough about Kate. This post is about the Dancing with the Stars music.

Here’s the music performed on Dancing with the Stars by the 2 special guest performers:
Maxwell performed “Fistful of Tears” Maxwell - BLACKsummers'night (Deluxe Version) - Fistful of Tears with Tyne Stecklin & Teddy Forance dancing to a piece choreographed by Lacey.
Debi Nova performed “Drummer Boy” Debi Nova - Drummer Boy - Single - Drummer Boy with Dmitry Chaplin, Tony Dovolani, Derek Hough and Damian Whitewood dancing. Here’s the music video for it on Drummer Boy

I won’t try to list all of the songs that were used for the “Iconic Movies” performances with Debbie Allen. Feel free to list them in the comments. Thanks to Courtney for listing the music used for the “Iconic Movies” performance with Debbie Allen:
“Puttin’ on the Ritz” Fred Astaire - The Irving Berlin Songbook - Puttin' On The Ritz by Irving Berlin (from the Fred Astaire movie “Blue Skies”)

“You Should Be Dancing” The Gee Bees - Tribute to the Bee Gees - You Should Be Dancing by The Bee Gees (from “Saturday Night Fever”)

“Soul Bossa Nova” Quincy Jones and his Orchestra - Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (Music from the Motion Picture) - Soul Bossa Nova (Dim's Space-A-Nova) by Quincy Jones (from “Austin Powers”)

“Fame” Naturi Naughton - Fame (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) - Fame by Naturi Naughton (cover of the original Irene Cara song, from the 2009 movie “Fame”)

As always, you can find the full list of Dancing with the Stars music and watch for some cool posts coming soon that talk about the music reuse on Dancing with the Stars among other fun things.

Dancing with the Stars Season 10 Results Show Music

I must admit that I’ve had a hard time figuring out some of the music that was used on tonight’s episode of DWTS. However, that’s the great part of blogging is that when I don’t know something I can post and usually one of you smart readers can help me (and everyone that reads this site) out. So, if you know what music was used for the Mark Ballas choreographed number with the kids or the Nuttin’ But Stringz song, let me know in the comments.

Sade sang “Babyfather” Sade - Soldier of Love - Babyfather while Chelsie Hightower and Damian Whitewood performed and “The Sweetest Taboo” Sade - The Best of Sade - The Sweetest Taboo with her own dancers.

Nuttin’ But Stringz played “Thunder” Nuttin' But Stringz - Struggle from the Subway to the Charts - Thunder to a Travis Wall choreographed routine.

Mark Ballas choreographed a routine for a number of young ballroom dancers.

Dancing with the Stars 2010 Music – Week 4

A number of the stars have been talking about their music this week on Twitter (check out the Pure DWTS Twitter page to see what I mean). A few of them even had high praise for the Live band and how quickly the live band can learn the songs for the show. I must admit that last week seemed like a bit of a low point for the band. They slaughtered a couple of the songs. The good news for them is that the dancing and personalities on the show were strong enough that I didn’t notice too much.

Ok, enough chatter. On to the list of music from week 4 of Dancing with the Stars 2010.

Reba McEntire and Mark Ballas Perform on Dancing with the Stars

ABC has announced that Reba McEntire and Mark Ballas (yes, that Mark Ballas) will be performing on tomorrow night’s Dancing with the Stars results show. Here’s what I believe they’ll be singing/playing on DWTS and which professionals will be performing:
Reba McEntire will sing “I Want a Cowboy” Reba McEntire - Keep On Loving You (Bonus Track Version) - I Want a Cowboy with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Val Chmerkovskiy, Snejana Petrova and Edyta Śliwińska dancing.
Reba McEntire will sing “Consider Me Gone” Reba McEntire - Keep On Loving You (Bonus Track Version) - Consider Me Gone with Dmitry Chaplin and Lacey Schwimmer dancing.

Mark Ballas will play an acoustic “Malague–a” with Chelsie Hightower and Derek Hough dancing.

Looks like Dmitry and Lacey fans will be watching tomorrow night. Princess Heidi also posted this AWESOME picture of Derek Hough and Chelsie Hightower which has me really excited to see them dance together.

I also just realized that I never posted the music from the past DWTS musical performers. Well, I can’t find them all, but I did find the Beach Boys list:
The Beach Boys featuring John Stamos sang “California Girls” The Beach Boys - Sounds of Summer - The Very Best of the Beach Boys - California Girls, “Kokomo” The Beach Boys - Sounds of Summer - The Very Best of the Beach Boys - Kokomo, and “Fun, Fun, Fun” The Beach Boys - Sounds of Summer - The Very Best of the Beach Boys - Fun, Fun, Fun with Cheryl Burke, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Ashly Costa, Anna Trebunskaya, Louis van Amstel and Damian Whitewood dancing.

I’d love to figure out the song that Emmanuel Pierre-Antoine and the Haitian dancers performed on DWTS as well.(UPDATE: The Haiti dancers performed to: “Hips Don’t Lie” Shakira - Oral Fixation, Vol. 2 - Hips Don't Lie (feat. Wyclef Jean) Shakira feat. Wyclef Jean. Thanks Courtney!)

As always check back later tonight to see the latest DWTS 2010 music.
