DWTS, Season 11, Week 9 – Media After The Performances Monday

We’d like to share some backstage footage after Monday nights performances. Here are all the dancing couples reactions to their dances and some recaps.

First up, is Jennifer and Derek. No don’t the final is going to be “tight” just like Derek commented;

Kyle and Lacey so excited and “sexy”, lol;

Here is Lacey being interviewed on same sex couples dancing as well;

Brandy and Maks remarking on how this show is ‘much more than a dance show’ and more;

Here they again are talking about “bullying” and how proud Maks is of Brandy no matter what happens;

Bristol and Mark and how much Bristol has changed and grown, etc.;

Here is ET backstage with all the couples;

A video made before the show discussing the stars that were in the audience and the high energy;

Lastly, here is a nice wrap up on the night;

More coming! Stay tuned! 😉

SPOILERS!!! DWTS Season 11, Week 9 – The Results

Design a Dance pretty much rocked, and one of our readers, Abby, was the winner of the concept! Great job Abby, and you looked beautiful on TV. Tell me Derek smells good. 🙂

Okay, other than that, and Derek and Jennifer being safe, the results show sucked canal water pretty bad. Yes, Brandy went home tonight and I think it sucks. I want to see a good finale – not one great dancer, one pretty good dancer, and a sucky dancer, with the sucky dancer winning. Gee – great show. Although, I don’t REALLY believe that Bristol will win it.

Thanks to our esteemed judges, once again Bristol didn’t have to do much to stay. She only needed 17k and change in a night that had the highest number of votes in the history of the competition to that point. I tend to think it was more a lack of votes for Brandy than it was an excess for Bristol. We’ll see how the judges handle it next week. Are they going to continue to score Bristol on her own personal scale, or are they going to treat all the dancers equally?? This should be a race between two great dancers -and what are we going to get?

Well, I doubt it will be as impressive as it could have been.

DWTS Season 11, Week 9 – Dancing by the Numbers

Well, as you all know by now, this is a crap shoot. Or a look at the odds, with no guarantee. Whatever. Thanks to the Tea Party vote skewing this entire season, we have no clue who will stay and who will go – and no, just because you’re not a Tea Party supporter and you’re voting for Bristol you don’t get to say that the Tea Party isn’t heavily influencing this thing. It’s silly to think otherwise. Of course there are people who aren’t Tea Partiers voting for her – but it doesn’t negate that voting block’s power. If her last name wasn’t Palin she would have been gone in Week 3 or 4 – definitely the week of the monkey suit. IMO.

But how big of an influence is it? Well, thanks to the judges we still don’t have a very clear view. They manage to keep the scores relatively (ridiculously?) close, such that it’s hard to tell. I personally don’t believe getting 1 or 2 % more of the vote than someone else is that big of an accomplishment, but it’s certainly enough to send someone else home – and it will likely be someone else tonight. But who? I tend to think that the judges were protecting Kyle, because I felt both of his dances were ridiculously overscored, whereas Bristol earned her 27 and was too high on her 26. But if they were into protecting anyone, they wouldn’t have overscored Bristol on that extremely vacant Waltz – they would have given her the 24 that I thought she deserved. But that’s just me. What do the number say?

The Judges Scores and Percentages

Place Celebrity Score Percentage
1. Jennifer 60 26.32
2. Kyle 58 25.44
3. Brandy 57 25.00
4. Bristol 53 23.25

As the low scorer, Bristol is the one who’s got to make up the lost ground. What does she have to do to stay? ONE of the following:

– Bristol needs 17,600 more votes per 1 million votes cast to pass Brandy, OR;
– If Brandy is getting ton of votes, Bristol needs 22,000 more votes per million votes cast to pass Kyle, OR;
– If Kyle is also doing very well, Bristol would need 30,700 more votes per million votes cast to pass Jennifer.

I think Bristol can probably catch both Brandy and Kyle, but Jennifer?? Tough call. With all the problems voting last night, that adds an additional element of uncertainty. Let’s say Bristol passes Brandy easily and moves to the head of the class. What does Brandy have to do to stay?

– Brandy would need 4,400 more votes per 1 million votes cast to beat Kyle and send him home, OR;
– If Kyle is doing well, Brandy would need 13,160 more votes per million votes cast to beat Jennifer.

Hmmm…I see her beating Kyle easily. Jennifer? I kinda doubt it, but you never know. So let’s say, for the sake of argument, that Bristol gets the votes to pass both Kyle and Brandy, and Brandy gets the necessary votes to pass Kyle – Kyle goes home. If Brandy doesn’t beat Kyle by the required number, Brandy goes home. For this reason, I kinda lean towards Kyle going home, with Brandy a “possible”. But what would it take for Jennifer to go home? ALL of the following MUST happen:

– Kyle gets 8,800 more votes per million votes cast to pass Jennifer, AND;
– Brandy gets 13,160 more votes per million votes cast to pass Jennifer, AND;
– Bristol gets 30,700 more votes per million votes cast to pass Jennifer.

None of those numbers are unheard of – but how likely are they? Beats the hell out of me. But, due to the Jennifer numbers and my overall feeling at the end of the night last night, I’m going to go out on a very long limb (with a wing and a prayer) and say that Jennifer and Bristol are safe and that it will come down to Brandy and Kyle, with Kyle going home. I really, really hope that neither Brandy nor Jennifer go home because that would be a damn shame – one of those two deserves the win and if either of the other two get it…well, next season I will be working on the X-Factor web site we’re starting. Just kidding. I think. Actually, I’ll probably stick around just to annoy the Maks fans. 🙂

So, I know what a lot of you think. Has seeing the numbers changed any minds? Who’s going home?

And just for fun, let’s add another element of guessing or prognosticating to the mix. How will the producers call it?? Well, I think that they will call Bristol safe FIRST, unless she’s actually going home. If Bristol is going home, I think they will put her up next to either Jennifer or Brandy…probably Jennifer. If Jennifer or Brandy is going home, I bet they put them up there next to each other. Kyle? They’ll put him up next to Bristol if he’s going home.

DWTS Season 11, Week 9 – Power Rankings

Why does Courtney get to go on Vacay?? So not fair. :::sigh::: But, say thank you to the producer gods that they finally trimmed the show to 90 minutes.

Well, here we go. And for the 500th time, it’s not just about the dancing.

One thing I will mention right off the bat is that everyone, except Kyle, was dressed beautifully. Just gorgeous. The male pros have really learned how to dress their women. I was in extreme envy. And I want Jennifer’s waltz earrings.

As for the rankings, I’m at a bit of a loss, really. I think Derek and Jennifer are an obvious first place choice, but what to do after that? Because like I said 2 paragraphs ago, it’s not just about the dancing, but a whole combination of factors – and this one is a hard one to call. For one thing, Bristol’s Paso was a vast improvement over her previous dances – but three 9s? I don’t agree. Then she kinda fell out in the Waltz – her face was totally vacant and at points she was skipping. I expected more from Brandy, although her dances were beautiful – and I didn’t like either of Kyle’s dances. So….I’m going to cop out. 🙂

1. Jennifer and Derek. I was crying right along with Derek when it came to that waltz, and I wasn’t sure why. Very simple, very beautiful, very clean – they just managed to put a ton of emotion into a slow dance. Don’t believe me? Compare it to Bristol and Mark’s. As for the Cha Cha Cha – that was amazing. High energy, sassy, saucy, funky…loved it.

2. TIE Brandy and Bristol (and Mark and Maks). Yeah, yeah, yeah, I can hear the complaining now. But, like it or not, Bristol knocked one out of the park with her Paso. I don’t think she belongs in the final after that Waltz though – her face was totally blank, vacant. Her feet were also once again, sloppy. But, she has shown she’s got the votes prior to now. I would have scored her a point lower on the Paso and 2 points lower on her waltz. As for Brandy, she is a far superior dancer to Bristol and both of her dances were beautiful tonight – but I was left wanting and expecting more on both of them. I think my expectations were entirely too high for her on both those dances – they both seemed like gimme’s and I don’t feel like Maks delivered completely on the choreography. Don’t get me wrong – two very, very good dances, but I was disappointed. I also have to say (and this is NOT their fault at all) but I really despised the use of such a contemporary song for their Paso Doble. Wasn’t that Katy Perry’s Firework? I think they were kinda hosed on that – the Paso lost it’s power due to that music. I think the producers did then no favors with that music – and actually the same comment applies to Kyle.

3. Kyle and Lacey. I actually think Kyle danced better on average than Bristol did, but I really didn’t like his first dance at all. He struck me as trying too hard and I didn’t find him as entertaining as many do. As for his Paso, well my original thought was that Lacey was doing a lot more actual dancing than he was. I thought he was very overscored on his Paso – both his dances actually. I thought 27 for both would be about right.

Okay, start yelling. I won’t hear you for a while because I have a lot of voting to do. 🙂

DWTS Season 11, Week 9 Begins – Who are the Las Vegas Favorites?

The betting odds favorites received a total shake-up for the last two weeks in a row. The questions is: What will happen this week?

Here are the odds from On-line Betting Guide;

Jennifer Grey 1.57

Brandy 3

Bristol Palin 10

Kyle Massey 17

Here are the numbers for what Viscosimedia’s is reporting;

The final four remaining celebrity dancers will battle for the mirror ball trophy starting on the Dancing with the Stars Finale for Season 11 on Monday, November 15th. Early DWTS betting favorites Brandy 2/1 and Jennifer Grey 4/7 are still predicted to walk away with the title. The other two finalist feature somewhat of a surprise with Disney star from “That’s So Raven” fame Kyle Massey 10/1 and political star Bristol Palin 15/2 from “Almost Vice-Presidential Daughter” fame as longshots in Dancing with the Stars odds for the season 11 finale.

In what some people are calling the most important contribution of the “Tea Party” this year, Bristol Palin fans have somehow overwhelmed the voting booths of DWTS and have recharged their faith by landing Palin and partner Mark Ballas in the finale despite having only 47-points. Can “Palin Nation” help daughter reach the plateau of celebrity dancing? Will the favored musician and movie star win as favorites? Or will the teenage work horse upset them all? Bet on DWTS season 11 odds with a 10% deposit for Brandy 2/1 and Jennifer Grey 4/7 as favorites or Massey 10/1 and Bristol Palin 15/2 as longshots.

DWTS Season 11, Week 9 – ‘Let The Fun Begin’ Media Before Showtime

Ready for showtime everyone? It really is anyone’s ballgame…more so than any other Season at this point in my opinion!! Like Heidi yesterday, I want to really stress how important it is to vote for your “favorite(s)” tonight. They need you now more than ever!!!

In starting out your media updates for today, how about this for an “Awwww” moment? Derek tweeted this lastnight of himself making fun of his teeth. lol (Heidi: More like his *lack* of teeth. LOL)

Speaking of Derek, we’re got a couple of interviews to share. First from TV Fans Space, Derek discusses the stress, the judges, and more. Here are a couple of takes. (Heidi’s Note: I think this is originally from Watch With Kristen on E!, but I’m not sure – it reads very familiar.)

How stressed out is everyone RIGHT THIS SECOND???
Everyone is fairly stressed out. But to be honest with most of the cast you’d never be able to tell. Everyone is always so composed.

I loved when you told Jennifer last week, “It’s fine. It’s just a dance show” to put things in perspective. Do you ever have to stop and remind yourself of that, too, or do you have a pretty steady sense of perspective having done this for many seasons? Every season is something new and intense for me. It’s always a change as no two partners of mine have been alike. But at the end of the day, it’s a dance show and you win a mirror ball trophy. It can be competitive, but it always has to stay fun.

You may have made a critical error by not doing your two-seasons-running “crotch bob” move with your partner during the dance marathon. This year, you just did a milder, yet very heartfelt solo crotch grab. This was probably the best choice concerning Jen’s neck, but were you sad to break the streak of what is now your signature dance marathon move? This is a really long and ridiculous question!
What’s the saying – Traditions were meant to be broken? I think we should have lasted longer in the dance marathon. I had some tricks up my sleeve and just didn’t get the chance to use them. Maybe next season.

Carrie Ann said Jennifer was “out-of-control” during your Week 6 paso. Was anything about the performance “out of control” until the flub at the end?I think that Jennifer did a great job with that routine and there was nothing out-of-control about it. We had a slight bobble at the end. It’s a slight mistake that we paid dearly for in the scoring but Jennifer was far from “out-of-control.”

Were the judges probably being extra hard on you to “level the playing field,” so to speak?
I think that this season, the judges have been hard on everyone. We’re all just doing our best and the audience needs to remember that you’re talking about 12 celebrities without any dance experience and no matter how easy it looks on Monday night when we perform – it’s a long hard road getting there.

And here is a take from a wonderful interiew today from TV Guide with Derek. Be sure to read the link for more as well. Take special note how their rehearsals are NOT just about tears and Jennifer’s injuries. Also, he addresses what happened with Carrie Anne and Maks.

TVGuide.com: How are the waltz and cha-cha going?Derek Hough: She’s doing really well and picking them up. It helps that we did the cha-cha in our team dance. Someone made a YouTube video of us about our journey on the show and it’s almost like we’re making our own film. We’ve had our highs and we’ve had our lows because of injuries and physical issues — and tears. We’ve overcome that and now we can end the show on a good note. That’s what we’re going for.

TVGuide.com: Her injuries have taken over your packages the past few weeks.Hough: It’s kind of a shame because we have a lot of fun together. We laugh and joke around. I’m always being dumb and weird. But with her injuries, that’s what they’ve been showing. But I don’t want people to get the impression that that’s all that goes on. It’s a minute package out of a 30-hour week.

TVGuide.com: I take it you were happy DanceCenter showed funny clips of you guys then?Hough: Yes! Exactly! For me, the focus on her injuries has been overkill. Hopefully from now on we can show people the fun we have and the joy we have. One of the things that I love about Jennifer is that she did this not to further her career. She did it because she wanted to awaken something she had lost and also something she didn’t know she had. She loves to dance. What happened is they’ve seen her struggling, but they don’t see her love for it and how it’s one of the hardest things she’s ever done, but it’s also one of the most rewarding.

TVGuide.com: I’m sure people are tired of hearing about her injuries too, no matter how bad they are.Hough: Of course. There’s a point. A couple of seasons ago, everyone was injured and it was like injury-injury-injury. We all have our little issues, but we’re scared to talk about them because the camera is in our faces all the time. If you even go like, “Oh, my foot hurts,” it becomes, [bellows in announcer voice] “Derek’s foot hurts!” They make it into a huge ordeal when it’s usually nothing. We have to be careful now and just go, [whispers] “I’m kind of hurting. Shhh. Don’t tell anyone.” [Laughs]

TVGuide.com: How serious are her injuries? Did you ever consider withdrawing?Hough: No. Once we found that she wasn’t going to do permanent damage, she was like, “OK, cool. That’s all I needed to know.” I don’t think that was made explicit on the show. But everything you’ve seen and heard is 110 percent legitimate. It has been quite serious, but she’s not going to give up. It did knock her confidence. When your body isn’t doing what your mind wants you to do, you kind of lose faith in yourself. It’s hard to see happen, but I think people will see a new confidence and a new excitement now.

TVGuide.com: What are you hoping to do this week to move into the final? It’s the first week since Week 2 without a theme or a gimmick.
Hough: Yeah, it’s pretty funny. It’s like, “Holy crap!” This season has felt like three seasons in one. It’s been pretty hard-core. We’re not doing anything drastic — just trying to get as good as we can and do good quality routines you look at and go, “She deserves to be in the final.”

TVGuide.com: Some fans are upset at Bristol outlasting Audrina, Rick and Kurt. What do you think?Hough: I think it all depends on what you want to see and what America wants to see. Obviously they want to see Bristol carry on. If you base it on dance ability or dance quality, Audrina should still be here. But it’s not just about that. It’s about story, about people. It’s a people show. The dancing element is the catalyst that creates these human moments. So the actual scores, they’re important, but it’s not the end-all, be-all.

TVGuide.com: What’s your take on Maks vs. Carrie Ann last week?Hough: I’ve lost my cool with the judges before, so I can completely understand. You get heated. You get passionate. For me, after that experience when I yelled at them with Shannon [Elizabeth], I just realized it was never worth it. What was the point? I completely understand how protective he got over his partner. Whenever a judge comments on your choreography, you’d feel bummed out.

Mark and Bristol talk about last weeks dances and the challenges they have with their upcoming dances in this interview with ET.

Here is Kyle and Lacey rehearsing on ET. Kyle is so funny as always talking about the upcoming Tango being his “Sexy Dance”. lol

Maks and Brandy were also interviewed by ET. Here they are discussing their Argentine Tango planned for tonight, Maks’ being a perfectionist, what their rehearsals are like, and more.

Lastly, “Dancing With The Stars” has been nominated for a People’s Choice Award along with American Idol, American’s Got Talent, Hell’s Kitchen, and So You Think You Can Dance. Be sure to get your votes in for our favorite show in the “Favorite Competition Show” catagory HERE. The winners for The People’s Choice Awards will be announced on CBS the night of Jan. 5th, 2011.

And we end on this note today;

We’re now down to Jennifer: The most technical, Kyle: The best performer, Brandy: The most consistant, and Bristol: The most improved. Its a good balance and a pretty level playing field. Heres to the semi-finals! ~ PureDWTS fan “Zach” in our comments section yesterday

You can say that again!! Let the fun begin!! 😉

DWTS 11, Week 7 – Stuff Off My TiVo

I got too busy for this last week, but I did manage to scrounge some stuff off my Tivo this week.  Some of it may resemble video Vogue has uploaded but it is the broadcast version as opposed to the net version.

Access Hollywood from Monday – I do think it’s cute that Maks is trying to hook Brandy up and give her dating advice

Remember me talking about the split screen with the clock?? Here you go. This actually made me go back and watch all the dances – Kyle is the only other one who didn’t start right away.

Jen and Derek on ET – “how the old broads do it”. LOL. Also Kyle and Lacey.

More “Ballroom Feud” from ET. :::rolls eyes::: Mark – lookin’ worse than Maks ever did in my opinion. People’s Choice Awards

I worry for Brandy if she doesn’t win, actually. Extra!

I really like Brandy – I wish she had more control over Maks. 🙂 And a big HA HA to Chelsie, who manages to irritate Mark with her insistence that it’s the Tea Party keeping Bristol around. 🙂

DWTS Season 11, Week 9 – Who’s Dancing What…and When?

Final Four, everyone!!  It should be an interesting week – will Bristol get the bums rush and end up leaving, or will the judges continue to be overly kind at the risk of Brandy and Jennifer?? I can’t wait to watch. 🙂  Here’s what our couples are dancing this week; as usual, as more information comes out, I will update this post.

Jennifer and Derek; Cha cha cha and Slow Waltz

Brandy and Maks; Paso Doble and Argentine Tango – Dancing First

Bristol and Mark; Paso Doble and Slow Waltz

Kyle and Lacey; Argentine Tango and Samba

I have to give the serious edge to Brandy this week with two very showy dances.  If she can pull them off sans melodrama, she should be in good position score-wise.  Jennifer is also in a good spot, but I always worry about a slow waltz at this point in the competition, going up against Pasos and ATs and Sambas. Luckily, she’s got a cha cha to back it up.  Derek usually can make a waltz exciting too. I think both ladies will do well, score wise, but I’m a little concerned with Brandy AND Jennifer with the voters. Mainly because when people get high scores their fans get complacent and either don’t vote, or try to vote AGAINST someone – for example, voting for Kyle in an attempt to get rid of Bristol. HORRIBLE idea, people. Don’t do it. Vote for the person you like the best – if Brandy and Jennifer get 10s you best vote like you never have before. Anyway, out of the two of them, I worry more about Brandy than I do Jennifer and Maks didn’t help this last week.

Then we have Bristol and Kyle.  Ye gods.  Normally I would give the edge to Kyle, but here’s the problem: Lacey has never done an AT on this show, that I recall, and; Samba? Kyle?  I just don’t know how this will work. But, he’s pulled off dances before that I didn’t think he would so, who knows? The other problem for Kyle is that Bristol will likely do well enough on the Paso and Waltz to get herself decent scores again. Well, lets face it, she forgets half her steps and gets decent scores – I don’t see that changing now. I re-watched last weeks Samba and her getting 8’s annoyed me. No way was that dance worthy of 8’s. She clearly forgets her steps at one point and has to look at Mark’s feet.

So, I guess what I’m thinking is: tomorrow night is the night we will likely find out just what kind a fanbase Bristol and Kyle each have, but anyone could go home.  I wrote up the post that I threatened to write, the one about recapping the season to date to see what it has taken for Bristol to get here and there was only ONE week that was impressive and it’s the same week where Kurt was MORE impressive. The week Audrina went home. Lots of people leapt over Audrina, which tells me she wasn’t getting votes, not that they were getting lots. And don’t let anyone sell you this “Bristol has been in last place all along” crap either. Bristol has only been in last place 3 of the last 8 weeks. That’s not even half the time.

All’s I can say is, if you want your favorite to stay, you best vote like crazy. 🙂

DWTS Season 11 – Weekend Media Updates & Prediction Question

Two more days until our Semi-Final DWTS Show!! Even as whacked and frustrating as this Season is, this is getting more exciting by the day. So, if you were to rank how this Season is going to turn out for who will win right now (not who your favorites are) in order, how would you rank the final four? Get your predictions in now and then at the end of this Season in two weeks, we can look back and see who was right.

Here’s how I would rank them;

1st place: Jennifer and Derek
2nd place: Brandy and Maks
3rd place: Kyle and Lacey
4th place: Bristol and Mark

The inspiration for this question comes from a prediction Kelly Osbourne made on The Ellen Show yesterday. From Zap2it.

“You never know with that show,” says Osbourne. “It’s crazy you don’t always see what the people see at home and why they vote. You never really understand, but I definitely think that Jennifer Grey is going to be in the finals. As for the winner, I really feel like Bristol Palin is going to give everyone a run for his or her money…I have to say this you have to separate the person from the family. She’s out there and she’s trying.”

Here is another prediction from Telly Cafe.

Anyways, the final 4, as of now, stands as:

1. Bristol Palin
2. Jennifer Grey
3. Brandy
4. Kyle Massey

Jennifer Grey, alongside her partner, has been doing a phenomenal job and has earned applause from all quarters. She is one of the likely finalists and has a hefty chance of picking the trophy.

While Bristol Palin is unlikely to make it to the finals, Brandy is likely to make the cut unless Kyle Massey comes up with a better show. Though, a lot may transpire in the final few episodes, Jennifer and Brandy seem the two hot favourites at the moment.

Maks’ new blog is up on TV Guide. He writes that everything is fine with Carrie Anne. He also writes on the backlash. It’s sad how people have sent him “hate” tweets. Go ahead and disagree with him or any of the dancers. But, to sign up at Twitter just to send them “I hate you” tweets is just sad and low in my opinion. Be sure to read more on everything Maks says at the link. Here are some takes on he and Brandy’s upcoming dances and what he says about the “hate” tweets and negativity. (Heidi Editorial Note: He’s definitely not the only one who has people signing up just to send hate. He should read Derek’s or Mark’s @replies once in a while – or any other pros. As such, I don’t know if it can really be labeled “backlash” against a specific person – more like a hazard of the internet, sadly. Relax Maks – it’s not just you.)

We have the paso doble and the Argentine tango next week. We’ve finished the paso and are working on the tango now. We’re dedicating the paso to everybody who’s been bullied. I thought it was great for that particular message. We’re taking a risk with our interpretation. Will the audience get it? Will the judges get it? I don’t know. But it’s something Brandy and I clicked on. We spoke a lot about it and we went through tough, tough moments in our lives, but we came out on top. I want kids to understand that you have to speak up — let your voice be heard. Don’t be silent and wallow. Talk because there are people who care and who will listen. Our Argentine tango will be traditional. I think it’s going to be fun. We just want to do a good tango. The paso — we want to get people out of their seats.

Right now, Brandy and I are just focused on the semifinal. We’re not thinking about the final yet. if we go through to the finale, it would be cool and it’s definitely our goal, but we can’t look too far ahead. I need to take everything one step at a time because, as I’ve mentioned, this season has been very tough on all of us pros. Yesterday, I was at my worst. I was ridiculous. I was mentally and physically done. It’s really hard. No one — absolutely no one — understands what we go through no matter who you are. You haven’t been in our shoes. You have no idea how difficult it is. When you get to the final, you are so drained that you become a shell of a person. You’re on complete autopilot. Once it’s over, you go, “I have absolutely no idea how I did.” I love our fans. I love my fans. I love seeing what they like, bad or good. The positive stuff gives me a good reinforcement and tells me I’m doing something right. Most of the negativity I laugh at because it’s so stupid or unreasonable since these people clearly don’t know anything about ballroom dancing or what we go through. It’s funny to me that there’s so much negativity spewed at everyone. Why don’t you get up and try to do what we do? People judge me for being a certain way. Honestly at this point, I really don’t care. I only care about what Brandy thinks right now. I know what my past partners think and how good our relationships are — and people are still speculating about how we supposedly “hate” each other and whatnot. I love when I get tweets from people who say they created a Twitter account just to tell me they hate me. If you hate me, why waste your time making an account to tell me? If I hated someone, I would never waste time doing that. It’s really amazing the lengths people go to behind the protection and anonymity of the Internet to be mean. But I’m not letting those people get to me. I’m just focused right now on Monday. I’m tired. Brandy’s tired. But I know we will bring our best next week.

Oh, and I ran onto this fun interview with Len Goodman at the Daily Mail on how he got into dancing. He traded his welding career in for dancing…and yes, to meet GIRLS. lol Here is an excerpt. Be sure to read more at the link. And isn’t this a fun picture of him and his wife Cherry? lol  (Heidi: Hey! They’re both “squeezing the egg”!!  Just like in Dance Center. LOL!!)

How, I wonder, did he get into ballroom dancing? Did girls play a part, by any chance?

‘I was 21 and working as a welder, but had hurt my foot playing football. The doctor recommended ballroom dancing, of all things, to strengthen it. My first reaction was “Not on your nelly”, but someone told me there would be girls there and I thought, “Ah-ha”. I went into the class with a winklepicker on one foot and my dad’s carpet slipper on the other.’

He was a natural, and was paired with the dance-school owner’s daughter, Cherry. There was no shortage of enthusiasm – either for Cherry, who became his first wife, or for the dancing.

Len quickly established himself as one of the characters of the ballroom-dancing scene. He fizzes with anecdotes about those days, laughing himself silly about the day he tried to bribe the lighting people to shine the spotlight on him for an entire routine.

‘It backfired. I had a cold that day and spent most of the dance with a drip on the end of my nose, sparkling away.’

DWTS, Season 11, Week 8 – Larry King Coverage, Carrie Anne, & More!

For those who missed seeing the DWTS cast on The Larry King Show lastnight. You can see it in full in the videos below. I thought it was a great show and everyone looked HOT!!! lol

Here is Jennfer, Bristol, Brandy, and Kyle discussing how they’ve gotten this far in the competiton;

Brandy and Maks being interview alone;

Bristol and Mark (note how Bristol puts Larry in his place quickly when he asks about Levi. Girl is tough.);

Jennifer and Derek;

Kyle and Lacey (this guy constantly has me in stitches!);

Tom and Brooke (Tom is a hoot too as always too!);

Here is all of them together opening up to Larry;

In other media out there. Carrie Annie defends herself on Access Hollywood. She responds to criticisms about the way she judges. Plus, “is sexual tension really the reason behind her constant sparring with “Dancing” pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy?” lol I have to laugh at the interviewers dumb questions sometimes. They try to stir up stuff even more in my opinion.;

Carrie Anne also talks to People.com and why she thinks Bristol might make it the finals. Be sure to see that HERE !!!

Lastly, Vegasnews.com reports that several of our pros are going to be on a special “LIVE with Regis & Kelly Show” in Las Vegas the week of November 29. Be sure to read more details at the link.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Grammy Living Legend Rod Stewart, late night host and Las Vegas native Jimmy Kimmel, actress/singer Selena Gomez, LIVE favorite Howie Mandel, hot young singer Nicki Minaj and Community star Joel McHale are just a few of the highlights as Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa bring LIVE! with Regis and Kelly to the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas the week of November 29, 2010.

In addition to interviews with Kimmel, Gomez, Mandel and McHale, performances also will take center stage during the four shows. Stewart will croon a classic song from his newest album of standards, Fly Me to the Moon … The Great American Songbook: Volume V; Gomez will perform a tune from her latest recording effort; Minaj will treat the crowd to Right Thru Me, the latest single from her debut album; and Dancing with the Stars professionals Cheryl Burke and Derek Hough will showcase their moves in an exciting duet.
