DWTS12 Week 6 – “Guilty Pleasures Week” Song Predictions

We all seemed to have a good time speculating about what songs we might hear during DWTS “American Night”, and we even got some right.  So what songs can we expect to hear  on Dancing with the Stars “Guilty Pleasures” night? Below are some of our predictions:

“Sunglasses at Night” Sunglasses at Night - Corey Hart: The Singles by Corey Hart (Court’s Note: This one has an extremely strong paso doble beat, and was popular in 1984 – the year Karate Kid was released.  Coincidence? Maybe…maybe not ;-))

“It’s Not Unusual” It's Not Unusual (Single Version) - 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection: The Best of Tom Jones by Tom Jones (Court’s Note: This one is a pretty good quickstep…and seems fitting for a couple of goofballs like Chelsea & Mark.  Carlton Banks, anyone?)

“Karma Chameleon” Karma Chameleon - Culture Club: Greatest Hits by Culture Club

“Livin’ La Vida Loca” Livin' la Vida Loca - Ricky Martin by Ricky Martin

“Girl You Know It’s True” Girl You Know It's True (Karaoke Version) - Karaoke Hits - Milli Vanilli (Karaoke Version) by Milli Vanilli

Ultrasound sales specialist by day, semi-knowledgeable DWTS fan by night...with a smattering of hair & makeup enthusiast, occasional model, baker, and crazy cat lady peppered in to make things REALLY interesting ;-) I might pee my pants in happiness if Donnie Wahlberg ever does DWTS - or if they ever use "Sunglasses at Night" as a paso doble.

Dancing with the Stars American Week Music

Well, I’m really happy to say that Vogue did an amazing job on her list of possible American music for Dancing with the Stars. I knew that Lee Greenwood would have to make an appearance on this list and figured that someone’s version of America the Beautiful would as well. Sadly I figured Yankee Doodle Dandy would as well, but I think it’s a terrible song for ballroom. I was surprised by Viva Las Vegas which makes me happy since I live in Vegas.

Anyway, below you’ll find the list of American music used on DWTS and as always you can see the full list of Dancing with the Stars music. Although, I’d probably rather go look at the list of American music that Vogue created if I were you.

Ralph & Karina danced a Samba to the song “Sweet Home Alabama” Sweet Home Alabama - The Essential Lynyrd Skynyrd — Lynyrd Skynyrd
Chris & Cheryl danced a Viennese Waltz to the song “America the Beautiful” America the Beautiful - Genius & Friends — Katharine Lee Bates
