DWTS Finale Teasers And Voting Info, Julianne Hough, PitBull & Fifth Harmony, And More To Perform

Below are two great teasers for the finals of Dancing With The Stars Season 25…..a new promo. Also, Julianne tells us on her surprise (thanks Lori for the heads up). Also, from Disney ABC, you can read some more details on the performances and how voting will take place. This is going to be great. For more dancing info, see the new Who’s Dancing What…and When? post.

In addition, the night will include special performances by Pitbull & Fifth Harmony singing their latest single, “Por Favor,” and Alexander Jean performing “Wouldn’t Change Anything,” featuring a dance by Julianne Hough.

In the two-hour season finale on TUESDAY, NOV. 21 (9:00-11:00 p.m. EST), it will be a Christmas spectacular as the three finalists advance to the final stage of the competition. There will be live dancing and show-stopping performances at both The Grove and in the “Dancing with the Stars” ballroom. The couples will each perform two dances. The first will be a repeat performance of their favorite dance from earlier in the season. And in the last element of competition, the couples will perform a new routine as part of a “24-Hour Fusion Challenge,” in which they will each fuse two contrasting dance styles, and they’ll have less than 24 hours to prepare.

For the first time ever, following the completion of both dances by the three remaining Dance Couples, the public will be allowed to participate in an online-only live vote via ABC.com at http://dwtsvote.abc.go.com/ and Facebook at http://bit.ly/2o1VO7b. The vote limit will be five votes per voting method, and the voting window will be open for approximately five minutes. The live voting window will only be available during the live broadcast in the Eastern and Central time zones, and voters must be physically located in the U.S. or Puerto Rico to vote on ABC.com. Voters in Canada will be able to vote during this same voting window on Facebook only.

The night kicks off with a high-energy opening number, featuring a reunion of all 13 of this season’s couples, at The Grove, Caruso’s award-winning retail, dining and lifestyle destination. Multiplatinum artist Nick Lachey will perform a new, never-before-heard ballad, “Someone to Dance With,” a special track he recorded that was inspired by his journey on “Dancing with the Stars” this season. The song will be available on streaming services everywhere starting Friday, Nov. 17. Additionally, the show will include special performances by Kelsea Ballerini singing “Legends,” from her latest album; Lindsey Stirling featuring Becky G performing “Christmas C’Mon,” from Lindsey’s new holiday album, “Warmer in the Winter”; and Jordan Fisher singing a joyful medley with Debbie Gibson, “Sleigh Ride”/”What Christmas Means to Me.”

There will also be a special performance from the upcoming Dancing with the Stars: Live! Light Up the Night tour, hitting the road this winter, as well as a number inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios new “Frozen” short, “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.”

The judges’ points and viewer votes from November 20 will be combined along with the night’s judges’ points and online-only viewer votes from the repeat dances and “24-Hour Fusion Challenge” to determine the winner. At the end of the night at The Grove, a champion will be named, and the winner will be presented with the coveted Mirrorball trophy.

SWIPE to find out the SURPRISE There are certain moments in my career that have made what I do mean so much more than you could ever imagine. This performance and piece that @marinspirations choreographed will forever be one of the most fulfilling and rewarding experiences. Thank you @justinbaldoni for introducing us and being such a selfless angel that makes dreams come true. I feel so lucky that I have had a platform to share my joy and love of dance with all of you, where it all began for me on #DWTS. So when I heard Marinda’s story, saw her work and found out it was a dream for her to have a piece on the show, I was absolutely blown away and HAD to find a way for her to share her gifts. I can’t wait for all of you to feel the same amount of love, gratitude, compassion and LIFE that she gives to me! I’m not going to give too much of her story away now because we want you to tune in on Monday at 8/7C on ABC to celebrate her life and her talents that she so courageously created for all of us! TRUST ME, You won’t want to miss this! Thank you to everyone at @wayfarerla for all the amazing work you do and for connecting us all together! #mylastdays Thank you to everyone at @dancingabc bbc, and abc for being so amazing by embracing this performance and for having a platform for this genius and beautiful soul to inspire and give hope to those that need it .. all through the universal language, DANCE! #alexanderjean #wouldntchangeanything #dance #choreography #love #passion #life #inspire

PureDWTS Season 25, Week 9 – Power Rankings

I’m already seeing this finale labeled the “feel-good finale”, or “season 17, the sequel” because of the generally amiable vibe among both the celebs and pros that are left, and the fact that this is the first Chmerkovskiy-free finale we’ve had in two years. Admittedly, I’m eager to see a finale that isn’t tainted by the need to promote a member of the Fam as the “star of the show”, and without a crystal-clear front-runner – I think any of three remaining contestants could walk off with the MBT, and about the only thing I feel 100% confident asserting is that Drew will NOT win the MBT. But man – I am HYPE for these freestyles, guys.  With the choreographic prowess of the remaining pros, we’ve got the potential for some showstoppers.

Judges were back to being on their bullsh*t last night – particularly Carrie Ann, who had a wishy-washy, patronizing, nonsensical critique for just about everyone – the only one in whose favor it seemed to work was Victoria, who was headed home anyway.  Len was similarly skewed, getting particularly cranky about “hip-hop” content and various other petty complaints. My guess is that they were told to create the impression that it was a horse race, and to nitpick everyone except Victoria.  Thankfully, Bruno seemed to play good judge again, and usually threw in a conciliatory score that was a point higher than what Carrie Ann or Len gave.

So Victoria left us – and I felt bad, because she seemed like a genuinely nice girl, and I don’t think she saw this coming.  Part of me thinks the judges being overly-kind to her over the course of the season may have actually convinced her that she had a legitimate shot at the MBT – hell, from the way they gushed (pretty predictably, if you ask me) over both of her just-okay routines last night, you would have thought she was the front-runner for the win.  I’m guessing Val is probably also partially to blame for her inflated expectations, and in the same token, he was also beginning to get detrimental in terms of choreography – since when is it allowed to basically do a second trio as one of your individual dances??? And in that trio, have the other two people doing most of the dancing, while the celeb primarily stays stationary? Had Amy & Derek pulled the same stunt on their season, fans would have absolutely shat themselves in anger. And I’ve still gotta raise an eyebrow at the fact that they ended up doing contemporary, while the press release listed waltz as their dance.  Say what you will about Victoria saying she had contemporary since last Monday – there’s been enough instances of Val’s partners conveniently getting their styles changed that it gives me pause, and it’s entirely possible that the song was originally intended for a waltz and someone just couldn’t make it work. Ultrasound sales specialist by day, semi-knowledgeable DWTS fan by night...with a smattering of hair & makeup enthusiast, occasional model, baker, and crazy cat lady peppered in to make things REALLY interesting ;-) I might pee my pants in happiness if Donnie Wahlberg ever does DWTS - or if they ever use "Sunglasses at Night" as a paso doble.

PureDWTS Season 25 Week 9 Interviews, Recaps, Scores, And Extras After The Dances

What a great night of dancing. Once again, I was blown away by Lindsey and Jordan. I have such a hard time picking who I love more. They are both so good in different ways. I really thought Drew would be eliminated last night as I didn’t think he did as well as Victoria, but, you know how that goes. So, let’s review the scores….

Jordan & Lindsay
28 (9, 9, 10)
Iconic Dance 30 (10, 10, 10)

Lindsey & Mark
29 (10, 9, 10)
Iconic Dance 28 (9, 9, 10)

Frankie & Witney
25 (8, 8, 9)
Iconic Dance 26 (9, 8, 9)

Victoria & Val – Eliminated
27 (9, 9, 9)
Iconic Dance 29 (9, 10, 10)

Drew & Emma
24 (8, 8, 8)
Iconic Dance 24 (8, 8, 8)

If you missed seeing the show, see Idolxfactor.com (these videos work internationally) and the official Your Tube page. Don’t miss some behind the scenes videos at the official Facebook page.

To start off with interviews and recaps, see ABC7. Although no date is mentioned yet, check out this People article with teasers on Sasha and Emma’s wedding. Here’s a take…

After their busy schedules caused Emma Slater and Sasha Farber to put their wedding on hold, the Dancing with the Stars pros have finally set a wedding date… maybe.

“At least we think we do,” Slater told reporters backstage after Monday night’s episode of the ABC reality dance competition. “It’s not locked down yet, but we think we do.”

Slater was not prepared to reveal what that proposed wedding date might be. But with the couple set to head out on the DWTS Live! tour soon, she says planning has kicked into high gear.

“Things have been picking up this last week. I’m in the process of sorting out invitations,” she said. “I’m going to be crazy strange bridezilla doing my wedding planning on tour, but we’re going to make it work.”

Also, see Fox for even more on Emma and Sasha. Drew chimed in on his wedding too and eveb teased on a double wedding….

“DWTS” fans were thrilled in October 2016 when Farber proposed to Slater during the live show. He got down on one knee with a dazzling ring during the broadcast and, of course, Slater said yes to her longtime fellow dancer beau who’s been paired with such stars as Snooki and gymnast Simone Biles. Farber isn’t competing this season.

Slater plansto have fellow “DWTS” pros in her bridal party, saying, “We’re not going to be that posh, elegant wedding. I want it to be a party of love and have all our friends there and we’re going to focus a lot on the entertainment. I want to surprise Sasha. We want it to be crazy!”

Scott said as he’s rehearsed with Slater, they’ve joked about a double wedding.

That would be an interesting idea, particularly because Scott famously co-stars with his identical twin brother Jonathan on their hit HGTV show while Slater has a fraternal twin sister, Kelly.

Scott joked, “We talked about it. It’s still in the works. What we might just do is let Linda and Emma go and plan half of it and Sasha and I will take it up, we’ll claim the other half, and then we’ll merge.”

And now these recaps and interviews. Enjoy! Read more..

Dancing with the Stars Season 25, Week NINE – LIVE BLOG

Welp. This should be interesting. Or not. 😉

So we change one element of a challenge and call it “all new”??

I like the videos playing behind the couples. Except victoria’s. What the heck was that? Is she jesus now?

A song that best describes your partner? Okay. Love the Proclaimers, in any case.

Emma is so sweet. Love her.

Drew has flashed us at least twice. I’m okay with this. Cute opening – rewind to watch Keo’s reaction.  🙂  Love the Troupe guys coming in with their kilts. Read more..

I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)
