Celtic Woman to Perform “You Raise Me Up” on Dancing with the Stars

I can’t say how excited I am to see Celtic Woman on the Dancing with the Stars results show. I’ve read they’re going to perform “You Raise Me Up” Celtic Woman - Celtic Woman - You Raise Me Up which is by far my favorite song I’ve heard them sing. Their performance is completely angelic. Check out the video of Celtic Woman to see what we have to look forward to on tomorrow’s Dancing with the Stars.

As you can notice from my blog, I’m a real fan of the music from Dancing with the Stars. That’s why I’ve listed the music on here for all to enjoy.

In a very unscientific way, I’m going to list the top 10 songs that have been clicked on during season 8 of Dancing with the Stars. Basically, I’m assuming which are the most popular songs of the season by how many people clicked on those songs.

Without further ado, here’s the top 10 songs from Dancing with the Stars 2009:

Dancing with the Stars Results Show Music – Goodbye Steve-O and Lacey

Well, it was about time for Steve-O to go home. He really did so much better than I would have ever imagined. I’ll give Lacey and her popularity a lot of credit as well. Lacey is a great entertainer.

I’m also really glad that Ty gets to stay another week. I admit that I would have never guessed that Ty and Chelsie would still be on the show. Ty’s first week made me think he’d be gone at the beginning. I’m amazed at his progress and that he’s still around 5 weeks later.

Check out the special music from the Dancing with the Stars Results show:

Dancing with the Stars Doesn’t Need a Live Band

Let’s be completely honest here for a second. I think the singers on the show do pretty well considering the broad range of music that they have to sing. With that said, I have no idea why Dancing with the Stars even has a band and singers. We almost never see them except for at the beginning when Tom recognizes Harold Wheeler. So, if we aren’t going to see them, then what’s the difference in the Live music versus recorded music.

As a comparison, So You Think You Can Dance uses all recorded music and I’ve never once heard someone say they wish it was better quality or that it was live. The reality is that I’ve seen many people complain about the Live music on Dancing with the Stars not being up to par. It’s never bothered me personally, but seems like a waste of money that they could be spending elsewhere. Then again, maybe in this tough economic times we want them to employ as many people as possible.

I even attended the taping of Dancing with the Stars and the live band made no impact on my experience. In fact, I don’t even really remember them being there. So, I say out with the band, despite their incredible talent.

Dancing with the Stars 2009 Music – Etta James, Demi Lovato and Le Reve

In quite a surprise, David and Kym were sent home on Dancing with the Stars. Seems like Steve-O (and probably Lacey) along with Ty (and probably Chelsie) have large fan bases. Interesting that the two professional dancers that bucked the score were on So You Think You Can Dance and brought over many fans from that show.

On a different note, take a look at the special guest music from the Dancing with the Stars results show.

Etta James sang the song “At Last” Etta James - At Last! (Remastered) - At Last while Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy performed.

Demi Lovato sang the song “La La Land” Demi Lovato - Don't Forget - La la Land while special guests Benji Schwimmer (So You Think You Can Dance winner) and Torri Smith performed.

They also had a Macy’s Stars of Dance performance by Le Rêve.

Dancing with the Stars Viennese Waltz and Paso Doble Music

Tonight’s dances were the viennese waltz and paso doble. 2 really interesting dances. They don’t usually have the same wow factor as some of the other dances(except for the Paso Doble sometimes), but the music is always nice. Plus, seeing Steve-O do a viennese waltz is priceless.

Don’t forget to take a look back at the previous DWTS music.

Dancing with the Stars 2009 Results Show Music

Tonight was a rough night on Dancing with the Stars. I told one fan of the show that tonight was a throwback night when you looked at the special musical guests performing on the show. Take a look at tonight’s music:

Julianne Hough, Derek Hough, Chelsie Hightower, Lacey Schwimmer, and Artem Chigvintsev danced to Kevin Rudolf’s song “Let It Rock” Kevin Rudolf - NOW 30 - Let It Rock

Cheryl Burke, Dmitry Chaplin, Tony Dovolani, and Kym Johnson danced to Boyz II Men performing the songs “Get Ready” Sublime - Sublime - Get Ready/”End of the Road” Boyz II Men - Boyz II Men: Legacy - The Greatest Hits Collection - End of the Road

Anyone have information on what Boyz II Men has been doing all this time? I haven’t seen them around for quite a while. I still assert that dancing takes every song to a whole new level.
