DWTS Season 15: Cast Announcement

Has anyone seen this yet?

According to the Dancing with the Stars Facebook Feed:

Dance alert! The new cast of Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars will be announced on Friday, July 27! Are you ready for this?!

Considering that is the day of the Opening Ceremonies on NBC how much do you wanna bet that ABC is trying to lure viewers to seeing the cast announcement.

Thanks to reader Kristin it is also on the official Twitter Feed:

Dance alert! The new cast of Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars will be announced on Friday, July 27! Are you ready for this?! ‪#DWTS

This is Vogue with an update: According to The Hollywood Reporter, the announcement will take place during the Television Critics Association summer press tour. Here is more…

The network, which hasn’t officially set its fall premiere dates yet, will debut the ensemble of previous DWTS competitors during its presentation at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

Previously, announcements for DWTS have come just three weeks shy of the premiere and been televised during Good Morning America or the network’s primetime programming block. The move also signals that the cast will have more time to prepare for the competition — or, less likely, an August premiere.

My life can be summed up in the following two quotes: 1) "I am married to engineering and am its faithful wife by day, but at night my wanderlust takes hold and the arts becomes my jealous paramour." and... 2) "Engineering is my safety net. Writing is my passion. Acting is my escape when the other two become too much." So where does dancing fit in? Pretty much anywhere at this point... =)

Romeo Miller Hesitant To Return for Dancing With The Stars All Star Season

Dancing With The Stars Romeo Miller is soon to be seen on the big screen in “Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Witness Protection”. He tells Access Hollywood he can’t believe he lucked out in getting the part. He also talks on the new season of Dancing With The Stars. Below is what he says about. More at the link.

As for his “Dancing with the Stars” career, Romeo said he’d be hesitant to return for the All-Stars edition.

“That’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life, so it’d be a lot of consideration and thinking,” he said, adding that he’d like to see “DWTS” alums Kirstie Alley and Chelsea Kane return.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Romeo return. What do you think?

Shawn Johnson Doesn’t Think She Could Do Dancing With The Stars Again

The Post Game interviewed Shawn Johnson about her future plans after announcing she’s retiring from Olympic competition. Since then, we’ve been speculating on whether she will do the All-star Season of Dancing With The Stars this Fall. Here is what she said about it and be sure you read the link for more.

Four years ago, Shawn Johnson came away from the Beijing Olympics with one gold and three silver medals. She added a Mirrorball to her trophy cabinet after winning “Dancing with the Stars.” What’s next? Well, if you combine the international travel of the Olympics with reality-TV competition, there’s one show that sounds perfect for her:

“The Amazing Race.”

But Johnson is stumped on who to take with her for those capers around the world.

“Oh gosh, I don’t know,” she says. “Probably just one of my friend … or another athlete. ‘Dancing With The Stars’ was a really challenging thing. I don’t think I could do another one, but I am a pretty big fan of ‘Amazing Race.’ I think that would be pretty cool.”

Looks like this might be a “No”. Let us know what you think?

“You’ll have to wait and find out”, says Stacy Keibler so “coyly” when Hollyscoop asks if she’s doing the next season of Dancing With The Stars!! Watch her below to see what I mean?

I think she’s dancing. What do you think? 🙂

Misty May-Treanor Speaks Again About Dancing With The Stars Season 15

The Olympics are just around the corner and Misty May-Treaner is excited to travel to London and participate. She speaks all about it in a new interview with ESPN. Misty not only discusses the Olympics, she talks about wanting to dance again in the Dancing With The Stars All-star Season. Here is more….

Tell me about your wish to get back onto “Dancing With the Stars” with your post on Facebook.

Well it’s funny. The post kind of grew legs of its own. I wasn’t pleading for them to invite me back and I am not on my knees asking them, but I do know that they have an all-star cast where fans can vote to bring people back on the show. All I did was post four points on Facebook saying why I want to go back on. The first point was that I want to finish what I started. The second was that I never got voted off. The third was I want to dance for my husband because when his season finally ended and he was able to actually watch me dance live for the first time, I had gotten injured that Saturday before. And finally, I want to perform for my fans because I like interacting with people and when people have fun watching me do something it puts a smile on their face — that’s what I like to do. So hopefully they invite me back but you never know. I am glad I had the opportunity when I did and I hope the opportunity comes around again to let me finish.”

Cloris Leachman Would Like To Do Dancing With The Stars All Stars (Video)

This news is from Celebuzz. I’m not sure if Cloris is serious, but, you never know?

“I want to be [on it]!” the 86-year-old told Celebuzz at the Critics’ Choice TV Awards. “I was voted off on the sixth show. It was good that I was voted off then — I got kind of tired and it was appropriate. I was getting fours and fives from the judges. I thought that wasn’t quite fair — I thought I was better than a four! Four and three quarters, at least.”

I liked Cloris, but, I think I’d rather see the better dancers compete. What do you think?

Drew Lachey Would Be Open To Doing Dancing With The Stars All Star Season

Ryan Seacrest interviewed Drew Lachey on his radio show today. Drew made an announcement for how 98 Degrees are reuniting for a performance this summer. He also talks about fatherhood and doing Dancing With The Stars again. More below and thanks to PureDWTS reader Jane for sending this news to us. I loved Drew when he danced. I’d be game. How about you?

On ‘Dancing with the Stars’:
Being the season 2 champ, will Drew be coming back for the All-Star cast in September? “I don’t know. I think it’s happening in September, so I’m sure they’re a long way off from finalizing the cast. I don’t know if they’re going to bring back winners, whether it will be runners-up, I don’t know. It’s something I enjoyed doing, I had a blast doing it, I’d be open to doing it again, but I just don’t know how it’s all going to play out. We’ll have to wait and see,” he tells us.

Gilles Marini Will “Probably” Do Dancing With The Stars All Stars If He Can Work Out His Schedule

Access Hollywood caught up with Gilles Marini at the 2012 Monte Carlo TV Festival yesterday. In the new interview, he tells them he’s been asked to join the “Dancing with the Stars” All Star season “a long time ago”. The question for him is, “Can he do it” since he’s working every day on tv shows? He loved doing Dancing With The Stars the first time. Can it happen again… “We’ll see”, he says. “If things work out”, “yes”, he’ll probably do the show. He’d want to stay loyal to Cheryl Burke and dance with her. It will be a “battle” if the producers want him to dance with someone else. He has more thoughts on dancing the first time and judge Carri Anne Inaba. Lots more below….

OMG, this is good news for my morning. I’m ready for my day now. 😀

Mike Catherwood On DWTS All-Star Season, Money Is A Huge Motivator

Season 12 contestant Mike Catherwood tells Celebuzz he wouldn’t be interested in coming back for the All-Star Season of Dancing With The Stars, but, there “is a catch”….

Mike Catherwood may have been the first celebrity eliminated from ABC’s Dancing With the Stars during season 12, but with an “All Star” season now in the works, the radio DJ says he’s willing to foxtrot back into the ballroom. The only catch: he wants a hefty paycheck.

With the DWTS hoofers reportedly guaranteed $125,000 for the first two weeks, the Loveline with Dr. Drew co-host — who had been partnered with Lacey Schwimmer during his original run — tells Celebuzz: “I don’t want to go back, but if they pay me, yes. Money is a huge motivator.”

What do you think? Would you be interested in seeing Mike dance again? I think I’d rather have other celebs come back to dance, but, by all means use Mike in some spoof segments like the one below. Remember this? This has to be one of the funniest moments on this show. Would you agree? Too funny!

Brooke Burke Says It’s Going To Be A Great Cast For The Dancing With The Stars All Star Season

While doing some charity work for Operation Smiles, Dancing With The Stars co-host Brooke Burke stops by the Grove to talk to Celebuzz. Brooke gives her thoughts for who she’d like to see come back for the new All-Star season. She’d like to see Sabrina Bryan, Maria Menounos, Jaleel (WHA?? 😯 Hush, Brooke!), William Levy, Stacy Keibler, and Warren Sapp to name a few. She says it’s going to be a great cast. More below….
