Emmitt Smith told WFAA Good Morning Texas that he and Cheryl have been working hard for the last several weeks getting ready for Dancing With The Stars. They are ‘pretty’ ready for their first dance with just some finishing touches to add and fix. Cheryl says the show isn’t the same when they danced the first time, so they are stepping up their game. Lots more below including who they are afraid of the most, how the jduges are going to be picky this season, and more.
Bristol Palin tells People.com that her main goal on Dancing With The Stars is to just have fun. She’s taking the all-star season seriously, but it’s not going to be all work and no play. Below is a take with more and you can also watch a video at People.com
Not that it will be easy. Palin, who is reuniting with professional partner Mark Ballas, admits she’ll have butterflies when she enters the ballroom.
“You still get nervous,” she says. “But I like being out of my comfort zone. I like challenging myself and this is the perfect place to do that.”
She also admits to being a little rusty. “I haven’t danced at all,” she says. “I still refuse to dance at a wedding or anything like that, just because I’m pretty shy … People are expecting you to whip out the quick-step or something and that’s just not me.”
Also, for those interested, Bristol will be blogging at Access Hollywood during her dancing With The Stars journey which you can read about here.
Each week, Bristol will share an exclusive inside look at the highs and lows from her “Dancing” journey, as well as her take on the behind-the-scenes action and what the cameras didn’t capture from the ABC reality series’ upcoming season.
Just a short, quick update! As you know next week is ABC’s Premiere Week. To help kick things off, ABC will be holding a “TWEETAPALOOZA” where various cast members from premiering episodes will be LIVE TWEETING at twitter. Today Melissa Rycroft and Joey Fatone talked with WZZM13 about Dancing With The Stars. It’s great to see Melissa finally and Joey looks like he’s lost weight (just like Karina commented on The View today). Joey said he did Dancing With The Stars again because Melissa decided to do it. They love having the same partners again, but, they have been working on reinventing themselves. Interesting. Check them out…
Today Sherri Shepherd and company of The View interviewed Karina Smirnoff And Apolo Ohno. Apolo jokes that he is still trying to figure out why he said “yes” to doing Dancing With The Stars again. They talk of the competition….especially for how Joey and Kym are talking smack. Lots more below including some dancing with the two. They look SO GOOD! What do you think? Wow, Monday can’t come soon enough, Guys!
DWTS15 Drew Lachey And Anna Trebunskaya Interviewed About Getting To Know One Another, Foxtrot Nerves, And More
Drew Lachey & Anna Trebunskaya Facebook have a great interview up with Drew and Anna. They discuss rehearsals and what it’s been like getting to know each other. Below is more including some thoughts on their first dance which Drew seems a little nervous about? I don’t think he has anything to worry about, do you? Then again, the judges can be MEAN!
Q6 6 Cathy Boorman Drew, having done so well your first time on the show, did you agonize over doing the AllStars or did you jump in with both feet when asked? P.S. Wishing you great good luck!
Drew: I jumped right in. The only question was how our family would
logistically work things out. After that was worked out, it was a no
brainer. I had such a good time doing the show the first time, I was
excited by the opportunity to step back into the ballroom
Q7 Linda Webb What is your first dance
Anna: It is the foxtrot
Drew: Foxtrot…… at least that is what I would call it. We’ll see
what the judges call it.
Q8 Paulette Dean Question for Drew and Anna: What is one thing you’ve learned about each other since you started rehearsing together?
Anna: That Drew is a wonderful husband and father, besides being a very talented person.
Drew: Anna is a Tea-a-holic. She cannot get enough of the stuff. And
I’m not talking about your everyday run of the mill tea. She likes
the good stuff

USA Today has a great piece up of the Dancing With The Stars All Stars “getting back into the fray”. The stakes are high, the pros are more competitive going into this season, and there will be a “greater push for first-week heroics”. Everyone wants that mirror ball. There are some quotes from Tom Bergeron and a few of the celebrities as well. They’ve been sizing each other up at the rehearsal studios and there is a lot of smack talk. More below and at USA Today. You can also read a breakdown on the couples at this USA Today link. Also, don’t miss more rehearsal footage released at AOL.com. A MUST SEE if you haven’t seen them yet!
“You have people who were the stars in their respective seasons,” says host Tom Bergeron. “With the stakes this high, there will be sweated spray tan all over the dance floor.”
The toll is all the greater with the passing of time. Lachey, now 36, realizes how long ago he won his Season 2 championship. “I’m six years older,” he says. “My knees are six years older, and my back. I’ve come to learn Advil is my friend.”
For every dancer there is a fascinating subplot as well. Marini will renew his dance rivalry with Shawn Johnson, who beat him out for the championship in Season 8. (“He’s coming after me, but I wouldn’t underestimate anybody,” says Johnson).
Meanwhile, Fatone and Ono are renewing their Season 4 duel in which Ono walked home with the trophy on the final night. “I got my eye on everyone,” says Fatone. “But I just don’t want Apolo to win again.”
The competitive flames rise even higher as most of the teams practice at the same L.A. location for the first time. “You’re trying to size everyone up,” says Fatone. “There’s a lot of smack talk. It’s highly entertaining.”
On result-night Tuesday, one All Star will be sent home. The fear of being the initial casualty calls for even a greater push for first-week heroics.
“Imagine how horrible it will be to the first person voted off. It’s not going to be fun for that person,” Bergeron says with a laugh. “I’ll try not to enjoy it too much.”
It is going to be horrible. I’m going to feel sorry for who ever goes home the first time. I wonder who it will be? Any last minute guesses? I’m going to guess it will be Melissa.
Disney ABC has released more official pictures of our couples in rehearsals. Above is the latest with pro Cheryl Burke and her partner Emmitt Smith. You can view more takes of them at ABCMediaNet and Getty Images. They look very serious, don’t they?
Not counting today, only FOUR more days, Everyone!
Yesterday, Dancing With The Stars Peta Murgatroyd was Mario Lopez’s guest for Extra at The Grove in Los Angeles, California. According to the Daily Mail, the two did some cycling and lifted weights to promote fitness. He interviewed Peta as well. Hopefully, we’ll get some footage from Extra on that soon. In the meantime, view loads more pictures of them at Zimbio Pictures.
Also, below is a little piece with Gilles on Access Hollywood today talking about the odds of him winning Dancing With The Stars. He’s not paying attention to them. See why….
Chiquinquira Delgado goes into Chelsie Hightower and Helio Castroneves rehearsals for Dancing With The Stars. Chelsie says they’ve got for the Fox Trot the first week and they just want to bring ‘the fun and performance’. Below is more from ET Online. What do you think? Are you feeling them now? I get the feeling Chelsie has been cracking the whip.
