Ali and Roberto from Bachelorette on Dancing with the Stars Season 11

Well, as you know Heidi is all about the Dancing with the Stars rumor control. She found this one too, but is otherwise tied up in the job that helps her put food on the table. So, she gave me the honors.

This rumor comes from a pretty reliable source since he’s been pulling out ALL the Bachelorette spoilers for a while now (Heidi is a big fan of his). His name is Steve over on Reality Steve. You’ll want to skip over his whole Bachelorette spoiler and near the bottom he says that Ali and Roberto from the Bachelorette have both been asked to be on Dancing with the Stars season 11. Here’s the section that matters:

It was announced yesterday that the new cast of “Dancing with the Stars” would be announced on Aug. 30th during the 4th episode of “Bachelor Pad”. The only other time DWTS has announced their cast during something relating to the “Bachelor/ette” franchise, was last season during Jake and Vienna’s “After the Final Rose” show that Jake would be a contestant. So I don’t think it’s too hard to conclude that there will be someone from this franchise next season on DWTS. I can tell you that Ali and Roberto have both been asked to be on DWTS next season. I’m guessing they will both accept. That’s going to be the worst kept secret for the next 28 days.

Certainly sounds reasonable to have Ali on the show. They have made that kind of a tradition. Why, I’m not exactly sure, but they certainly have a large number of fans after being on the show. That said, it seems like a bit of a stretch to have both of them on a season. Why tie up 2 star spots? Although, I’m guessing they don’t pay them very much (relative to the other stars) and the head to head of an engaged couple could be interesting. I for one find Ali incredibly attractive, so on that note I’d love to have her on the show.

Dancing with the Stars Season 11 – Rumor Roundup!

Like I mentioned a few days ago, I normally put up a post of rumored celebs from previous seasons because it seems that it often takes a season or two before a rumored celebrity actually makes it on to the show. You just never know when a past rumor is going to come true. So, here are some past rumors – plausible or otherwise. 🙂

Probably one of the scariest rumors ever, in my view, is LaToya Jackson. She’s still out there, and I bet she’s still an option. I think she was a lock prior to Michael’s death – I think she came right out and said that they had offered but it was too soon after Michael’s death at that point.

How about Dominique Moceanu and Vera Wang?? Any gymnastics fans have a clue? As for Vera, she was in the audience several times last season, but it’s pretty well known that she’s a friend of Evan Lysacek’s, so that could be the explanation.

Back in April, there was a rumor going around about Rachel Uchitel, but I think that ship has sailed. She was never famous (at least in a good way) and what little infamy she had is likely pretty well gone. I don’t think we have to worry about her. For that same reason, I’ve never dedicated a rumor post to Oksana Grigorieva (part of the Mel Gibson train wreck) – I just don’t think (hope?) those rumors are credible. Someone back me up here. 🙂

In early May there were a few interesting ones, plausible and not, such at Tony Blair, Lee Meriwhether and Morgan Fairchild – I see the last two as plausible, but Tony Blair??? Ummm…I dunno.

A couple other ones, such as Danny Gokey and Kurt Angle, are probably still plausible even though the rumors are more than a year old.

Well, that’s as far back as I went for today. I’ll see if there’s enough info for a part 2. 🙂

DWTS Season 11 Rumor…or Joke? Troy Aikman!

Per TMZ, Troy is signed up for Season 11 of DWTS. But even TMZ isn’t sure if he’s being serious or facetious. 🙂 And neither am I.

DWTS Season 11 Cast Rumor – Nastia Liukin

The rumor about Nastia has been floating around for a few seasons now. This time it’s Nastia doing the talking, to Access Hollywood:

In related Nastia news, the gymnast said she hasn’t decided yet whether she’s going to compete in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, but if “Dancing with the Stars” came around, she might be interested in that opportunity.

“It’s a great show and I think it’s fun to be able to go outside of your element and do something that you have no idea what you’re doing,” she laughed. “A lot of people think the Olympians have an advantage with ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and I think that the only advantage that they have is to be able perform in front of a live audience.

“Everything else is so out of your element,” she continued. “I’ve never taken a dance class in my life.”

Sounds like she’s already trying to fight the ringer label. 🙂

DWTS Season 11 Rumor – Arianny Celeste

Thanks to Jeniffer in the comments for this little tidbit. From TSN:

UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste could be following in the footsteps of Chuck (The Iceman) Liddell. The Maxim cover girl says via Facebook that she has been invited to join the cast of “Dancing with the Stars” next season.

UFC ring girl?? Okay. She’s pretty, for sure.

DWTS Season 11 Rumor…or Campaign? Antonio Sabato Jr

Okay – several qualifiers. I can’t tell if this is his real twitter or if it’s a fan-created twitter. It looks real but you never know. As for the Facebook campaign page – no idea who started that, but the Twitter page promotes the Facebook page. You guys be the judge – but I can get behind this hottie on the show. 🙂

DWTS Season 11 Rumor (Sorta) – Xzibit

Xzibit, an American rapper and TV personality (per his Wiki), says he was invited on DWTS. He also says he’s not going to do it. Yeah, we’ll see about that. 🙂 I’ve heard that one before. An initial “hell No” often turns into a “why not?”.

DWTS Season 11 Cast Rumor – Chris Jericho

Here’s the trail I followed:

Chris is a WWE wrestler and the interview discussed above can be found here —> Chris Jericho They discuss his participation at about 3:30 – he was previously offered but couldn’t do it due to a different show he was on (Downfall (?) also on ABC). He said that he could very well do it in the future, but that it takes a lot of time.

DWTS11 Pro Casting Rumors – Jackie Josephs?

While the casting rumors for next season are still slow going this early in the summer hiatus, I did stumble across something interesting the other day while wasting time on facebook…there’s a group gunning hard to get Chicago-based ballroom dancer Jackie Josephs signed on next season as one of the pros. 

Now normally I don’t put much stock in pro casting rumors (as we’ve witnessed through the show’s 10-season run, it’s really a crap shoot who makes it on a certain season and who doesn’t), but I think this one might actually have some merit to it for a few reasons.  First off, her former professional partner (and current business partner in the highly successful studio they own) is Jesse DeSoto, one of the pros from season 3 (paired with Shanna Moakler…they were the second couple eliminated.) Secondly, she’s been coached by 3 of the pros on the show: Corky, Tony, & Maks.  Third, her costume sponsor is Designs by Randall, the same company that makes all of the costumes for the show, and Randall Christensen himself has already vocalized his support for Jackie getting on the show on her facebook page.  On top of that, she’s good friends with Mark – I’ve seen more than a few TMZ videos of Mark out at restaurants/clubs after hours with Jackie in his entourage.  Seems to me like she’s already got several “ins” with the show, and may actually have a decent chance of getting hired on this coming season.

What do you guys think? Wishful thinking on the part of her fans, or a legit possibility?

Ultrasound sales specialist by day, semi-knowledgeable DWTS fan by night...with a smattering of hair & makeup enthusiast, occasional model, baker, and crazy cat lady peppered in to make things REALLY interesting ;-) I might pee my pants in happiness if Donnie Wahlberg ever does DWTS - or if they ever use "Sunglasses at Night" as a paso doble.
