I'm a nerd and proud of it. Two degrees in geology also means I love BEER. :-) I'm also a Derek lover - proud of that too. So don't scream at those of us on this site and call us a bunch of "biased Derek-lovers" - it's just ME. :-) It may sound like I hate DWTS at times, but really, I'm just a snarky nitpicker from way back. And I'm cynical and jaded too. But I do love DWTS. :-)

We know now that Misty May tore her Achilles. OUCH!!
I don’t know what to think about Helio, but we’ll just let it play out in the courts before we decide any sort of verdict.

It was a sad day for true Dancing with the Stars fans, because Misty May is injured and no longer on the show. Still a ton of great competitors and we have no clue who is really going to win this year. However, I would have liked to see Misty May finish developing herself on the show. I felt like she never broke out in her dancing.

Dancing with the Stars Elimination Show – September 30,2008
Check out Jessica Simpson on Dancing with the Stars. She’s gone country…ok enough of that. The Judges Choice was by far the most memorable dance from last night. I think the black pleather and Kym’s ability to lean back like the Matrix makes the Matrix dance the best.

Derek and Brooke Show Teaser and Behind the Scenes
This video is a little old of Derek and Brooke, but it’s the first that I’d seen of it. Derek and Brooke give a little teaser of their performance. You can see even in this video why Brooke has been getting such high scores. However, the coolest part of this video is that Derek and Brooke show you what the Dancing with the Stars set looks like before they put in all the seating, etc.

Derek Hough and Karina Smirnoff Dating
Don’t be so naive!! Derek Hough and Karina Smirnoff are not dating. Derek Hough is still dating Shannon Elizabeth and last I heard are quite happy together. Of course, that doesn’t stop the insane paparazzi from asking Derek and Karina if they’re dating now. Check out this video of Derek and Karina getting bombarded with questions by the paparazzi outside a club.
When Derek throws Karina at the end, that’s awesome. Great publicity stunt by ABC, Karina and Derek. Even in the few seconds of dancing they do in this video, you can see why Derek and Karina are professional dancers.

Jonas Brothers performed Take on Me on Dancing with the Stars results show. The best part for me was when the professional dancers came on stage. However, I’m sure Jonas Brothers fans will love their whole performance.

Jesse McCartney Performs on Dancing with the Stars
Jesse McCartney performed on tonights Dancing with the Stars results show. Dancing with the Stars does the best job with these guest acts, because they still incorporate dancing and professional dancers into the special musical guests. All the other dance shows can take a lesson from this. Plus, the pro dancers in this video were awesome.
