As you might remember from a previous posting, Gleb Savchenko is a pro in Dancing With The Stars Russia!!! Below is new promo with him. His partner is ice skater and Olympic Champion Adelina Sotnikova. Let’s wish them luck as the show premieres on the 7th of February. Hopefully, Gleb will post us a link for where we can vote when it’s time. Special thanks to Carlos and his Dancing With The Stars Brazil facebook page for all the help with this post.
A huge huge congratulations are in order for Gleb Savchenko And Elena Samodanova!! The two dance pros are dancing in Dancing With The Stars in Russia!!! See their twitter accounts here and here. They are beyond happy!! I’m going to cry I’m so happy for these two!!! So so cool!!! Twitter pic below courtesy of Elena Samodanova.
ETA: We wrote to Gleb to get more information on he and Elena. Here’s what he wrote to us:
Yes I’m doing DWTS in Russia which premieres on the 7th of February. I’m dancing and not judging. Elena is doing lots of choreography and opening show numbers. She supposed to be in the show as a dancer, but at the very last moment production changed the whole concept and instead of 6 boys and 6 girls now they have 14 boys so it means that celebs are only women and it’s 14 couples.
I’m very excited and can’t wait who is my partner gonna be!
Thanks Gleb!!! Much luck to the both of you!!! We’ll be sure to vote!!!
Below are some cool photos of some of the pros from Dancing With The Stars from their twitter and instagram accounts. You can see them at sea on the Holland America Cruise, on the road with the Dancing With The Stars Live Tour, enjoying some vacation time, doing some modeling, or working out, etc.. I can’t get enough! Beautiful!!!
Dancing With The Stars Gleb Savchenko And his wife Elena Samodanova danced for a show in Hong Kong this past week. Here are a couple of videos courtesy of Elena. I can’t get enough of the passion. #DreamProsForDancingWithTheStars Also below are some photos of them over Christmas with their little princess Olivia courtesy of Gleb. #AwwwMoment
Just a few Dancing With The Stars Tidbits. First of all, check out Sharna Burgess below. Yesterday, she shot a new photo shoot for Health Beauty Life Magazine. Beautiful! Be watching her instagram as she promises more photos are coming.
And aren’t these some mysterious photos? Apparently, Gleb Savchenko is working with Paris Hilton on her new “High Off My Love” music video. If you go to this link, you can view some shots from the set to get more of a feeling for what this new video might look like. This is going to be fun. That makes two big projects now for Gleb this summer …a music video with Paris and a new Loreal commercial J Lo. Congrats Gleb!
And speaking of Gleb, his wife Elena Samodanova is Read more..
In case you haven’t heard yet, Maks Chmerkovskiy will be guest judging for India’s version of Dancing With The Stars. Thanks to @IdolXFactor1, you can watch a Good Morning America report on it below (Lara, Maks is the biggest star from the show? Really? I think they are all big stars.). Also below is a promo from India thanks to Bravo Bollywood.
Another FYI: Gleb Savchenko’s wife Elena Samodanova is a pro on the show. If you’d like to watch India’s version of Dancing With The Stars, check their official site regularly.
Gleb Savchenko, Elena Samodanova, Sharna Burgess, Paul Kirkland Attend OK Magazine Event, American Idol Talk
Aren’t these some fun new photos below? Last night, Gleb Savchenko, Elena Samodanova, Sharna Burgess, and Paul Kirkland attended OK Magazine’s So Sexy L.A. Event at the LURE in Los Angeles, California. So cute….and what I’d give to see all four of these pros do Dancing With The Stars next season. Be sure to see more pics of them at the Getty Links in the pictures. There could be other pros who attended too. If so, let us know in comments.
And hey, what’s up with Gleb and Jennifer Lopez? I don’t know, but, this tweet sure is a fun teaser of them working together. Speaking of Jennifer, did you see her dance on American Idol last night? Wow is all I will say. Girl had some strong and powerful moves. Plus, the ending song with Keith Urban, Harry Connick. Jr, and Randy Jackson was the ultimate.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of our beautiful Mothers out there. Below are just a few Dancing With The Stars things floating around for the holiday. First, check out the flowers Shirley Ballas received from Derek Hough. Beautiful…
And isn’t this another beauty? Gleb Savchenko posted this photo of his wife Elena and his daughter Olivia. He called Elena the “best Mom in the world”. *awww*
Also, Team USA talked with the Moms of Charlie White and Meryl Davis about Dancing With The Stars. Check out the part about the reunions that have taken below. More at the link on their skating and their tour.
“I really believe they’re in this together,” Cheryl said. “They both want each other to do well and are happy for each other. You don’t spend 17 years together and not support each other.”
A TV show likely isn’t going to change that for The Moms, either. Recently The Moms were together when the Stars on Ice tour stopped in Joe Louis Arena in their hometown of Detroit, and they enjoyed the fact that they were able to see each other for a bit there.
“Everything has been so chaotic and so crazy that we kind of gravitate to each other for our own comfort zone,” Jacqui said. “I guess there is a still a feeling of competition now (with “Dancing with the Stars) but it’s in a different way. Technically, we’re competitors, but honestly, I feel like having Meryl and Charlie on the show just doubles my chances of winning.”
The “Dancing with the Stars” shows have served as skating reunions as well. Each week it seems there has been a who’s who of skating stars in the stands. Charlie has had his longtime girlfriend, Tanith Belbin, (a 2006 Olympic silver medalist herself) there for support. Others who have popped in include Kristi Yamaguchi, an Olympic skating gold medalist and a “Dancing with the Stars” champion and Olympic champion and show runner-up Evan Lysacek.
Ok, more in a bit!
Just some media tidbits to start a Sunday. First up, the 2014 25th Anniversary Emerald Ball took place in Los Angeles last night. Corky and Shirley Ballas were two of the judges. On the night, Shirley commented that it she called it “one of her favorites”. It was “full of fun. Young dancers. Fun dancers. Champions etc. Well put together I really enjoyed it.”. Karina Smirnoff, Gleb Savchenko, and Elena Samodanova were also in attendance. Below are a couple of fun pics from the event.
And speaking of Shirley Ballas….last night she also commented on at her facebook that she had seen Mark’s new video “Get My Name”. I love the “wow wow wow’s”….
Just seen the music video of mark produced and directed by Derek. Wow wow wow x
Don’t forget, you’ll be able to download this new single tomorrow. Also, Mark will be performing it on Dancing With The Stars tomorrow night as previously reported. ETA Correction: the video will be out next week!
Also, don’t miss seeing Bruno Tonioli at the Daily Mail. He made an appearance at the Jaguar North America And BritWeek Presents A Villainous Affair at the London West Hollywood car event this past week. He had to give the cars a “10” of course!
Lastly (and something I missed this past week), the Ice network interviewed Lindsay Arnold on Meryl and Charlie’s dances this past week. Note how she called Charlie and Sharna’s Paso Doble “one of the best she’s seen on the show”. Below is more for what she commented. I thought I’d throw this news in this post since we haven’t seen much promo from this team this week. You can read more on Meryl at the link.
“The paso doble is one of the most intense dances you can do. You need strong lines from the male and beautiful, also-strong lines from the woman,” said DWTS troupe member Lindsay Arnold, also a top-eight finisher on So You Think You Can Dance in 2012.
Arnold said she thought White and Burgess’ paso doble was one of the best she’s seen on the show and she disagreed with the judges’ assessment, which was two 9s, an 8 and a 10.
“He was able to get strong lines, but then he was able to show fluidity through his motion,” Arnold said.
“Charlie never disappoints,” she said. “I feel every single week he goes out there and does his absolute best. He’s able to work through any problem he has. … He already has a smart dancer mentality.”
And that is all…for now. One more day until dance time!!! Good luck to All! ~Vogue over and out!xx
Kristyn Burtt and the gang are back with another fun episode of Afterbuzz TV!! This time Chelsie Hightower joins them to break down the dances. Let us know if you or disagree with them. I especially loved what they said about judges and all of their inconsistencies. For example, Suri brings up how Len gave James and Charlie both 8’s and how something is wrong with that. SO TRUE!! And what about the “supersized” dances for what we are seeing now? They don’t like them either. Also, be sure to listen to what they say about Abby Miller judging next week at the end. They are outraged on her being picked as a guest judge like so many of us. Another super show!!
