Our Weekly DWTS 21 Week 5 Fashion Round Up For Erin Andrews, Julianne Hough, And Carrie Ann Inaba

Sometimes I need to sit down and think hard to figure out which week we’re in for the season. This is one of those weeks. It’s also been “one of those weeks” for me.  It also felt like the whole week was off, on the show. Tom’s dad passed away, no one was with their regular partners, and things just didn’t completely feel like things were completely “jelled.” There were a few dances that I LOVED! But the whole atmosphere seemed just “off” to me. And like others mentioned in other posts and in the comments, I’m more than done with the whole “married couple competing” schtick. I do think it is an interesting concept, but I don’t think Alexa and Carlos were the correct couple. Even IF the show didn’t beat us over the head with the schtick 10,000 times each episode, I think they should have found a couple that were a bit older, longer married, more secure and a lot more mature.

Erin’s weekly style blog is over on People. I LOVED the color of her dress, and I don’t mind that it was shorter. She’s going back and forth from the Red Room to the other end of the ballroom and back. I don’t think the shoes were the best match, what would you say, Miss Vogue?

Julianne’s weekly style blog is over on Instyle. I’m a bit torn about how I feel about her dress. I like it, and she looks really good in it, but not so sure about the cut outs, and wish she had found something with more color. How about the color that Erin wore?

And Carrie Ann! I’m starting to think she needs to change up some of her styling, Erin and Julianne both continually change it up and take risks, while Carrie Ann definitely is a bit more conservative in her styling choices. Yes, she’s older than both of the other two women, but I think it’s possible to change it up. Her blog is up on Parade, and she gives her thoughts on all of the couples. You should go and read on your own, but I’m not going to talk much about it here, I prefer Courtney’s two recap posts here and here.

So! Which is your Best Dressed this week? I think I’m going to give Erin the edge this week, with Julianne a second.

Our Weekly Fashion Blog With Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough, and Erin Andrews For DWTS21 Week 4

I didn’t mean to leave Erin out of these posts, but she’s blogging over on People this season. So, when possible, we’ll have one fashion post for all three of them.

So, what did you think of the show this week? I definitely missed Tom this week, but glad that he’s able to be there with his dad, it’s not an easy time. Alfonso didn’t do badly, but he definitely showed just HOW GOOD Tom is at his job! This is one week where I really enjoy the addition of contemporary and jazz, because most celebrities pick something sad for their most memorable year, and without these two styles, we get a whole lot of badly danced rumba.  Each and every one of them seemed to be trying their hardest to show their story through dance– Some were just more successful than others. I think that Paula definitely should be the next one off, she’s the weakest link left. In most seasons, by the time the lowest tier dancers have left, it’s pretty clear who remaining are in that next tier, and who are in the top tier. I’m not seeing as big a division this season, it may be there, but I’m just not seeing it. Keep watching Heidi’s Number posts, because we could start hearing about “shocking exits” once Paula leaves. We know that none of those “shocking exits” are ever truly shocking, because we’ve seen the numbers, and Heidi’s explained who is most in danger of leaving, and why. And in case I’ve not said it before, Thank you, Heidi, for the hard work to put together the numbers posts each season.

Carrie Ann wrote her weekly blog at Parade on the “most emotional week” on DWTS. About Most Memorable Year week, she says: Read more..

I'm a fashion and music fan....and I have always loved dancing too of any kind. Dancing With The Stars seems to have this way of bringing all of those things together. Dancing With The Stars ABC Celebration At The Paley Center – HQ Photos, Full Video

Below are a few photos of those who attended a celebration for ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ at The Paley Center last night in Beverly Hills, California. The first photo is of Executive producer Rob Wade. Others who attended were Judge Bruno Tonioli, co-host Erin Andrews, Candace Cameron Bure, Alfonso Ribeiro, Tony Dovolani, and Kym Johnson. If you’d like to see more fun photos of the event, click on the pictures. You can also see some photos at the Daily Mail. For those who missed the show last night, you can watch it here. Kristyn Burtt was able to ask Rob Wade questions (including some questions about Derek and Nastia’s packages and if he thought it effected their elimination). See her twitter for a report and pictures too if interested. Rob also teased on the finale too. Note that Alfonso Ribeiro and Sadie Robertson are coming back to dance. Derek Hough, Noah Galloway, and Amy Purdy will be dancing in a special number too. MORE HERE.

Dancing With The Stars Information On Next Week’s Shows, Josh Groban And Carly Rae Jepsen To Perform

As you know, next week, Dancing With The Stars Results shows return next week. E Online is reporting on it as well as some performance information. Read on for more…

On Monday, viewers will have all the power as each of the six remaining couples will perform to a song and dance picked by the fans for “America’s Choice” night. Plus, viewers will also get the chance to give input on wardrobe, set design and visual effects. In addition to America’s pick, each couple will also perform a second dance, as well as a trio dance. Combining the public votes from last Monday’s (April 27) show, Monday night’s performances and the judges’ scores from the two weeks, two couples will be eliminated during Tuesday’s results show.

E! News can also exclusively reveal that DWTS will welcome two special guest performers during Tuesday’s double elimination: Josh Groban and Carly Rae Jepsen!

Groban will sing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” with a performance by Maddie Ziegler, while Jepsen is set to perform her new hit single “I Really Like You.” Plus, the night will kick off with a special contemporary performance by Travis Wall’s Shaping Sound, which will feature DWTS pro Allison Holker and troupe dancer Jenna Johnson.

For the full article, see E Online.

ETA: Broadway World via ABC is also reporting this information. Note how “Dance Center” is returning. YAY!!

“Episode 2008” — The six remaining couples on “Dancing with the Stars” will dance to a song and dance style voted on by viewers for “AMERICA’S CHOICE” night on MONDAY, MAY 4 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET). America has creative control of the couples’ first dance, asking fans throughout the week via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for their input on wardrobe, set design and visual effects. Each couple will perform two full routines including an individual original dance and a trio dance. For the trio dance, couples had the opportunity to pick an eliminated pro or troupe member to enhance their performance and highlight the strengths of each star. The trio dance styles include the Jive, Paso Doble, Samba and Salsa. At the end of the night, two couples will be eliminated at the end of the night and four couples will move on to the semi-finals.

The “Trio Groups” are:

Noah Galloway, Sharna Burgess and Emma Slater
Robert Herjavec, Kym Johnson and Jenna Johnson
Nastia Liukin, Derek Hough and Sasha Farber
Riker Lynch, Allison Holker and Brittany Cherry
Chris Soules, Witney Carson and LINDSAY Arnold
Rumer Willis, Valentin Chmerkovskiy and Artem Chigvintsev

“Episode 2008A” – “Dancing with the Stars: The Results” continues on TUESDAY, MAY 5 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) where couples will face a double elimination based on combining the judges’ scores with the public votes from last Monday’s night performance (on April 27) and this Monday’s night performance. The night kicks-off with a special contemporary dance performance by Travis Wall’s Shaping Sound, featuring Maddie Ziegler and DWTS dancers Allison Holker and Jenna Johnson. Later in the night, Josh Groban will sing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and pop star Carly Rae Jepsen will perform her hit single “I Really Like You.” Dance Center is back with Len Goodman and Jerry Rice and Kenny Mayne.

The Dancing Poetry Corner – The Super Bowl of Dance

Tenth Anniversary Dancing With The Stars Special
June 1, 2005 to the Present

The Super Bowl of Dance

Touchdowns were scored all night long at The Super Bowl of Dance! The enormity of the production, the memories, everything on a huge celebration scale resembled The Super Bowl! Ten years, twenty seasons, deserved to be celebrated on that grand scale!

Dancing With the Stars had humble beginnings but has turned into The Super Bowl of Dance! The show is an ABC wonder. A juggernaut has evolved out of those humble beginnings. This show is The Best Entertainment Show on The Planet!

I am still on a major high from being privileged to share in The Super Bowl of Dance! The Anniversary Special, the 20 Seasons of Dancing With The Stars, scored a touchdown in our hearts. The family the show resembles is like our family. I grew up with this family, so to speak.  I have proudly seen every season, every show. It is a happy atmosphere to visit each night it is on the air. Read more..

Afterbuzz TV Reviews Dancing With The Stars Season 20 Week 7

Wow…is this ever an interesting Afterbuzz TV show! This week, Shirley and Corky Ballas are Kristyn and Suri’s guests. Let’s just say….Shirley and Corky weren’t very happy about Mark and Willow getting eliminated too early. They hint at producer manipulation ….and A LOT!! I have to say…I’ve wondered on the same things at times (IE: Sharna and Charlie, Karina and Ralph to name a few other exits that happened too early) and they have some valid points. Also, pay special attention to when they start reviewing Derek and Nastia’s dance too as they say something about Henry that is interesting to say the least. Let us know what you think of this week’s show?
