R.I.P. Etta James: Dancing With The Stars Season 8 Flashback

Our hearts and deepest condolences go out to the friends, friends, and fans of the legendary Etta James who died of leukemia complications today at 73. Many fans of Dancing With The Stars might remember this famous performance when Etta sang her classic hit song “At Last” on Dancing With The Stars Season 8, Week 5, April 7th, 2009. Karina Smirnoff and Maks Chmerkovskiy danced so beautifully to it, remember? We dedicate this post to Etta James, her life, music, and this memory we’ll never forget!!

As you can notice from my blog, I’m a real fan of the music from Dancing with the Stars. That’s why I’ve listed the music on here for all to enjoy.

In a very unscientific way, I’m going to list the top 10 songs that have been clicked on during season 8 of Dancing with the Stars. Basically, I’m assuming which are the most popular songs of the season by how many people clicked on those songs.

Dancing with the Stars 2009 Music – Etta James, Demi Lovato and Le Reve

In quite a surprise, David and Kym were sent home on Dancing with the Stars. Seems like Steve-O (and probably Lacey) along with Ty (and probably Chelsie) have large fan bases. Interesting that the two professional dancers that bucked the score were on So You Think You Can Dance and brought over many fans from that show.

On a different note, take a look at the special guest music from the Dancing with the Stars results show.

Etta James sang the song “At Last” Etta James - At Last! (Remastered) - At Last while Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy performed.

Demi Lovato sang the song “La La Land” Demi Lovato - Don't Forget - La la Land while special guests Benji Schwimmer (So You Think You Can Dance winner) and Torri Smith performed.

They also had a Macy’s Stars of Dance performance by Le RĂªve.
