Karina Smirnoff Donates Dancing With The Stars Costumes To Charity, Read How You Can Help

“I’d love for someone to enjoy my things and make memories with them, too,” Smirnoff says. Though she admits her items aren’t for everyone. “Dancing with the Stars is not known for wearing a lot of clothing,” she jokes.

People Stylewatch has a cool piece up with Karina Smirnoff and how she’s giving away some of her personally designed costumes on Dancing With The Stars to help her charity AIM. If you are interesting in buying some of her items and helping Karina’s charity which helps bring the arts to children in underprivileged families, visit Hip Swap. This is cool. Check it out.

Just a few fashion mentions related to our Dancing With The Stars cast!! First up, note that tomorrow night, Dancing With The Stars co-host Brooke Burke will be at the Oscar’s Red Carpet to rate the best and worst fashions of the night for OK! Magazine. Secondly, Dancing With The Stars pro Chelsie Hightower has done a new photo spread for “Sugar and Bruno”. You can view the new Spring 2012 fashion line in a new lookbook HERE. Note how Chelsie has listed a “Spring Playlist” as well as her favorite movie flicks and some cool quotes in some of the photos. Fun and very Chelsie.

Third, below is Cheryl Burke at a QVC event at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA this past week that I missed posting about. Gorgeous!! You can view more pics of her at Zimbio.

Hi All!!! I hope you are all having a wonderful Friday!! Stay tuned for John’s announcement of our Brooke Burke Giveaway Contest winners. For now, here are some Dancing With The Stars odds and ends!!

First up, the producers of LIVE! With Kelly must have enjoyed Dancing With The Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba co-hosting with Kelly that they’ve asked her back. According to ABC Media, Carrie Ann will be helping Kelly on Tuesday, Feb. 22nd during LIVE! With Kelly’s “Hawaiian Week”. Lots of things are on tap for this special week in Hawaii including a wedding segment where Derek Hough will make an appearance again teaching the winning couple how to dance. Carson Kressley will also join in to help the couple with their wedding attire on Wednesday, Feb. 23rd. You can read more on the week at ABC Media.

In other TV mentions, Dancing With The Stars pro Mark Ballas will be weighing in on “VH1’s 100 Greatest Women In Music”. The 5-hour special will rank the “biggest of the big” including Madonna, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Whitney Houston and more. Hours 1 and 2 will air February 13th at 10PM. For more details and other episode times, be sure to visit MarkBallas.com.

Moving on to another dancing pro!!! Have you noticed Lacey Schwimmer’s recent twitter profile picture? It looks like she’s changed her hair to a more darker shade. Well, Rex Features has some close ups of Lacey walking out and about in Los Angeles recently. Her hair is a little different from her new twitter profile picture, but, you can her current look here. What do you think? I’m liking it. I hope she goes with more natural highlights like this (versus something funky) for the show if she’s picked again.

For some more news on Derek Hough, this week he attended a Cold Play concert in Los Angeles. Don’t miss some fun shots of him at Pure Derek Hough. Heidi has also posted some cool new Cobu3D collages. A MUST SEE Derek Hough Fans!! 🙂

Thanks to this news from Evaine, Maks courted his Mom to an Espen Salburg fashion show this week looking gorgeous as ever and happy. See a fun picture of them here.

Last, but, not least, back to Dancing With The Stars co-host Brooke Burke. This week Brooke was seen on a beach in Malibu taking shots for a new photo shoot. According to her twitter, she was shooting a summer cover for Prevention Magazine. Below is a picture of her walking in the sand all smiles. You can view more pictures and read more on the shoot at the Daily Mail. Nice, I’m loving this dress!!

Ok, that is all for now. Maybe more later…if you’re good? 😉 xx

DWTS Pro Cheryl Burke Hosts The TAO A Go Go Contest At TAO Nightclub (Photos)

Last night, Cheryl Burke hosted the TAO A Go Go contest at TAO Nightclub in Las Vegas, Nevada. Above is a picture arriving to the even taken by PacificCoastNews.com. Doesn’t she look stunning in this bronze number (such a popular fashion color currently)? I love her long hair too which I hope she never cuts short again. What do you think? You can view more beautiful photos of Cheryl at Zimbio. Image Collect has some as well.

ADDING: Speaking of Cheryl, don’t miss her on Good Morning America on Monday morning, Feb. 6th. According to ABC Media, she will talk about her book, “Dancing Lessons: How I found Passion and Potential on the Dance Floor”. I bet they will ask her on Dancing With The Stars. So, be sure to turn in!!

Dancing With The Stars Karina Smirnoff Covers Rockstar Magazine Issue #1 2012

Karina Smirnoff would be just as successful at modeling as she is at dancing! Above is the Dancing With The Stars Season 13 Champ on the cover of Canada’s first issue of “Rockstar Magazine”. Rockstar Weekly is reporting that there is a “dual-cover with both front and back images.” Karina in pictured on the front (seen above) while the back features Canadian singer/songwriter Sam Roberts. The 44-page debut issue hits digital devices via MagCloud today, as well as on a collectible Mini-CD. Below is more about the shots of Karina and what she says about it and Dancing With The Stars….

Smirnoff’s stunning shots were photographed by renown fashion and celebrity photographer Volker Fleck, with hair by Etienne Ortega, makeup from Rokael Lizama and wardrobe supplied by Steven Galindo. In the story she reveals that Dancing With The Stars was so stressful on her body this year that she sometimes found it necessary to get cortisone shots to keep going on with the show.

“I tried to be careful with my muscles and joints, but this season was really strenuous on the body,” she told RockStar. “In the end, though, the pros most definitely outweigh the cons, and participating in Dancing with the Stars was all worth it”.

You can read more at Rockstar Weekly as well as how you can obtain a copy of the magazine and a CD (Jim, are you out there? You are one fan I know who will want this! 🙂 ).

Carson Kressley Talks Of DWTS Phone Call, Replacing Ryan O’Neal, and Lots More!

Thanks to Courtney, she found this fun, new interview with one of Dancing With The Stars’ most fun, crazy, and entertaining contestants, Carson Kressley (and make that one of the “most memorable” Dancing With The Stars contestants to as I don’t think any of us will ever forget Carson’s Moves Like Jagger and Vogue moves as long as we all live). Anyway, below is Carson being interviewed by A Spoonful Of Paolo in his home. Carson talks of the day he got called to do Dancing With The Stars and how he only had 30 minutes to decide since he was replacing Ryan O’Neal (as we all suspected was the case at the time). Of course, and as Courtney remarked to me, Carson also “talks glowingly (and hilariously) about Maks.” He does a funny impression of Anna as well. “The fun never stops” as Paolo writes at the You Tube link description. You’ll get to see Carson on a more personal and serious level too as he remembers his childhood, family, horses, etc. A must see…especially if you need a Carson Kressley fill to make your day!! 😉

Isn’t this a stunning shot of Dancing With The Stars co-host Brooke Burke? The Daily Mail is reporting today that Brooke is “channelling Sophia Loren” in a new desert photo shoot for Las Vegas Magazine.

The stunning model and presenter showed remarkable poise in a pair of towering spiky strappy heels as she had her photograph taken.

There are more stunning shots and details on the shoot at the link.

Speaking of Brooke and if you haven’t read yet, Pure Dancing With The Stars has teamed up with So Active Fitness via Sony Pictures to give away two of her new Fitness DVDs. See how you can win here. It’s easy and it’s fun!! 😉

Anna Trebunskaya Chats About Dancing With The Stars With Runway Magazine (Photo)

Anna is featured in a new interview with Runway Magazine. She dishes all about Dancing With The Stars, the cool celebrities she’s met, and her favorite fashions on the dance floor. She even gives us a hint of what to expect from her in the future on the show.

Runway: What do you like best about working on the show Dancing With the Stars?
Anna Trebunskaya: I love the creativity that surrounds DWTS. I feel very blessed to meet all the amazingly talented and accomplished people.

R: You’ve been paired with such celebs as Jerry Rice and Chuck Liddell. What has been your favorite season to date?
AT: I’ve loved something about every season, and I’ve had unforgettable experiences and learned new things with each celebrity. Of course, with Jerry Rice and Evan Lysacek, I got to go to the Finals-that was amazing. But it was fascinating to see the transformations of Chuck Liddell, Sugar Ray Leonard and Kurt Warner into dancers. I also became friends with their families and felt their support every second of the journey.

R: What is one of your favorite fashions for the dance floor?
AT: Old Hollywood glamour. It’s a style that makes everybody look gorgeous.

R: What can DWTS fans expect from you in the future?
AT: I love playing dress-up on DWTS and having a completely different look for each dance. My fans can expect that.

Bring it on, Anna! I can’t wait to see you back on the show and doing your fashion thing! I love “Old Hollywood glamour” as well.

If you want more of the adorable Anna, check out the full interview at Runway Magazine. Anna also discusses her favorite fashion designers and the current fashion trends she’s favoring.
