Dancing With The Stars co-host Erin Andrews did a new spread for Health Magazine. Below you can see some ‘behind the scenes’ shots and coverage. She looks fantastic, doesn’t she?! You can also read a new interview at Health Magazine here.
Awww, it’s good to see Peta Murgatroyd!! If you visit the Daily Mail, you can see her working out on a morning hike in California. Looks like she’s in prime shape as always and ready to dance.
Peta Murgatroyd is in the new issue of Fitness Magazine. She talks of how she stays in shape during the off season of Dancing With The Stars. She also gives advice on how everyone else can do so. Below is an excerpt…
Imagine having 23 years of dancing under your belt, Broadway acting experience, a fitness wardrobe to die for, and a killer bod. That’s why we’re completely obsessing over Peta Murgatroyd, the 27-year-old Dancing with the Stars veteran competitor.
“I truly believe that dancing is the best form of fitness and exercise,” Murgatroyd recently told us during a visit to the FITNESS offices. “Dancing makes you feel good. It makes you feel happy, especially if you can do it with a loved one.”
That being said, it’s no surprise that she highly recommends fitness dance classes—for both men and women—as a fun way to stay in shape.
“Even for a guy to be able to lead a girl and to be able to go out and feel comfortable, like in a club situation, and not be dorky—I think that’s really hot and sexy if he can do that. If I ever have a son, I’m going to be putting him into dance.”

This is kind of cool. In this AOL exclusive, Tony Dovolani shows how you can keep fit through dance…
On The Red Carpet interviewed Louis Van Amstel. He chats about how he’s been helping the new crop of dancers on “So You Think You Can Dance” this summer. He also promotes his new ladies Fitness line called “LVA By Louis Van Amstel” which is available at Sears (nice, I’m really liking some of the pieces!)!! “It’s all about making working out more feminine, feeling good, and fun and fashionable,” Louis comments. He has a few things to say about Dancing With The Stars as well. Here is more….
Also, here is a fun LaBlast workout video with Louis and Pop Sugar. This looks fun. Let’s join them!
I wasn’t sure whether to post this or not, but, then when I saw Cheryl’s shoes….well…. 😀 😀
And speaking of Cheryl and shoes, she attended the “BAFTA Los Angeles and Sir Philip Green Celebrate the British New Wave at Topshop Topman” at The Grove in Hollywood this past week. You can see some fun takes of her in a gold and white dress at Getty Images.
What a fascinating interview with Kym Johnson in Shape Magazine. Kym discusses what she teaches a celebrity first on Dancing With The Stars and what makes a good partner. She talks of the dynamics and how she once fell in love with one of her partners. More below…
SHAPE: What is the dynamic between the different stars and professionals in the rehearsal studio?
Johnson: We all train at one place where they have a replica of the main studio, which everyone fights for and they have all these other rooms. Everyone goes into the little kitchen area so the celebrities can talk about how everything’s coming along and who’s doing what wrong! It’s not like you’re on your own. We’re all there together. It really is like a family!
SHAPE: Those dances can be pretty intimate, have you ever fallen in love with a partner?
Johnson: I did in Australia. I ended up with the guy that I won with. We dated for a second and it was a disaster. It didn’t end well! I learned a lesson from that and I’ll never do it again. But if you’re both single it may happen!
SHAPE: What makes a good partner?
Johnson: Someone who leaves all inhibitions and checks their ego at the door. You have to be prepared to try things, which most of them do. It’s very daunting. You’re total strangers and the next thing you know its ‘put your hand here, hold me there.’
SHAPE: Before coming on the show, how would you recommend a celebrity prepare?
Johnson: If I was going to be on the Dancing with the Stars, as a celebrity, I’d definitely take dance lessons before hand, something—anything! Or I would get the fitness DVD. Kristi Yamaguchi told me she did the fitness with her daughter and learned the jive steps before coming on the show.

Dance Informa has a new interview up with Dancing With The Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd. She dishes all about her diet and fitness regime in keeping fit for dancing. I didn’t realize before that she likes to run and hike. Below is more….
How would you describe your exercise regime? What forms of exercise do you enjoy the most?
I have to work out every day. I need to break a sweat. Running is my main go-to, whether on the road or on the treadmill. I also love to go hiking at Runyon Canyon.
How important is it for you to exercise outside of the dance studio?
Right now with the current season of The US Dancing With The Stars, I haven’t done much exercise outside of dancing. During the off-season I really need to keep my body in shape, as I’m not dancing as much as I do when I’m on Dancing With The Stars.
Do you work with a personal trainer?
Yes, his name is David Walters. I work out with him twice a week. We do strength training, to keep my body strong, and Muay Thai.
You can read more at Dance Informa. Peta is also on the cover of Front Row Monthly Magazine which you view in the tweet below…
