Julianne Hough And Kenny Wormald Talk Of Footloose And Dancing With The Stars Performance At The Grove (Video)

In gearing us up further for Julianne Hough’s return to Dancing With The Stars next week, below is a new interview from Extra. Julianne and her co-star, Kenny Wormald, talk of the movie as well as giving us a little glimpse into their upcoming performance. The two will dance a duet and then the cast of Footloose will back them up. Julianne remembers her roots saying if it weren’t for Dancing With The Stars, she wouldn’t be where she is today as they “launched her career” and it’s her “home”. She’s excited to see her “bro” again too and tells her thoughts on him and Ricki’s dancing.

Also, in a new interview with Movie Hole, Julianne talks of some coincidental things about herself, Derek, Dancing With The Stars, and Footloose that fans might find interesting….

Julianne: For one, I grew up in Utah where the original was shot. Two, my first dance on Dancing with the Stars was to ‘Let’s Hear it from the Boy’. Three, my brother played Ren on the west end in London. Four, I played Ariel in this like small musical version of Footloose during high school. Five, when I finished my audition I rang up my mother and she was like, ‘Wait, I just have to turn down the radio’, I was like ‘Wait, what was that?’ and she was like ‘Footloose was playing’. She didn’t even know I auditioned for the movie.

Cool, huh? Here’s to a fun results show coming our way soon!!! Also, who plans to see Footloose at the theatre like I do? This is one movie I’m not waiting to see on my satellite like I usually do.

Julianne Hough On Coming Back To Dancing With The Stars: “I feel like I’m going to get all emotional” (Video)

Julianne Hough along with Kenny Wormald and Craig Brewer, chatted to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show today. They talk of their new movie Footloose and other fun stuff. There is also a part where Julianne discusses returning to Dancing With The Stars this week. She says, “I feel like I’m going to get all emotional. I’m going to be a wreck! Going on there and dancing to something that I actually left the show to do. Its going to be pretty amazing, but they’re my family and its my home. I can’t wait to go back!” Ryan calls Julianne “Darling” (so cute!). Derek is mentioned a couple of times. They play part of a new track from the movie. Great interview. This and more teasers below…

Thanks to Lori for the heads up on this interview last night.xx

Julianne Hough To Perform On Dancing With The Stars Oct. 14th!!

Just as so many of us have hoped, Julianne Hough will be returning to Dancing With The Stars!! Next week, she’ll be performing in the Results show! Below are details from USA Today….

For one night only: Julianne Hough will cut loose on Dancing With the Stars next Tuesday, an appearance timed to the Oct. 14 opening of her new film — the remake of the ’80s classic Footloose.

Her beau, Ryan Seacrest, hinted that the show’s two-time winner would be returning while doing an interview with her brother and DWTS regular Derek. But the reality show queen turned movie star has confirmed to USA TODAY that she will indeed be twirling under the glitter ball once again.

She won’t be alone, Hough says. “I’ll be dancing with Kenny (Wormald, her co-star who fills Kevin Bacon’s shoes as Ren). We will definitely be dancing to Footloose, but we will have a few tricks up our sleeves in the beginning.”

Excited?

Adding: Below is Julianne talking on her return to the show.

Note: Tom announced last night during the show that she will be dancing two numbers with one being a dance with her brother Derek.

DWTS 2011 Julianne Hough And Cast Of ‘Footloose’ ‘Cowboy Up’ On The Dance Floor!

Just a little scrap to tie you over a little until the premiere of Dancing With The Stars tomorrow night. Hey, sometimes scraps are NICE 🙂 …especially this one of former pro and one of our favorites Julianne Hough getting her “cowboy up” with Kenny Wormald and her fellow cast members in the new remake of Footloose. I’ve been wondering if we’ll see Dancing With The Stars promote this movie and some of the dancing in it on one of the Results shows with it’s October 14th theatre release? Wouldn’t that be fun?

DWTS Julianne Hough And Kenny Wormald Get Footloose For Elle Magazine September 2011

Leading up to the October 14th premiere of “Footloose”, Julianne Hough (former professional dancer on Dancing With The Stars and sister to Derek Hough) and fellow cast member, Kenny Wormald, have done a fabulous new photo spread for the September issue of Elle Magazine. You can watch them work their “magic” in a behind the scenes video below from E Online. No wonder these two were picked for their roles. I love what Kenny says on Julianne’s hard work ethic….

“She’s like the hardest working person I know,” says Kenny. “I was taking a nap one day, and our trailers were combined, and I was sleeping and I woke up because the thing was shaking. I was like what’s going on in Julianne’s trailer because she was working out with her personal trainer- getting fit during lunch while I’m taking a nap.”

To see more of this shoot and read a cool article on the makings of Footloose, be sure to visit Elle.com.

Also, don’t forget about the Footloose Video Contest!! Enter by September 16th, and if you win, you have a chance of winning a trip to the premiere. For more information on how you can do so, read some details in an earlier posting >>>>HERE.

Things are not only heating up with the upcoming premiere of Dancing With The Stars, former Dancing With The Stars Champ and one of our favorite professionals to ever dance on the show, Julianne Hough, is soon to light us up in “Footloose“, one of the biggest movies of 2011 and possibly one of the biggest remakes to have been put together again. The new hot dance remake, which also stars Kenny Wormald and Dennis Quaid, will be officially released to theatres on October 14th. In connection with this highly anticipated event, Paramount Pictures along with Herbal Essences wants “Everyone to cut FOOTLOOSE”. Second Official Footloose Poster With Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald Released (POLL)

Paramount Pictures has released the second poster for the upcoming remake Footloose, which stars former Dancing With The Stars pro Julianne Hough. Male lead, Kenny Wormald, is cutting it “loose” on the dance floor with her in the new poster which I think is amazing and way better than the retro first Footloose poster they released last week. Some are also saying 22 year-old Julianne looks 33 and “shouldn’t be bumping and grinding” on Kenny and instead “packing his lunch”. WHA? …as if that’s all women who are 33 are good for? I don’t think so. Plus, if they did that or made it similar to the first Footloose, this movie would have its kiss of death. In my opinion, they need this version to be edgy and modern for 2011….and so what if it’s a little “dirty“? And I don’t think Julianne looks 33, do you? (Heidi’s Note: Bunch of ageist, sexist, misogynist children say crap like that. Karma is on her way to your house before you know it.)

I’m counting the days until October 14th for when this movie will be released and right in the middle of Dancing With The Stars Season 13! 🙂

Pure DWTS – DWTS Media Tidbits For Hump Day!

Just a few things to share today! First up, Carrie Ann was interviewed about her new hour long TV drama on ABC called “Grace” by Popstop which premieres in May. “We’re going to take them [the audience] into the studio and show a little bit more about the dancer’s life”, Carrie Ann comments. This is sounding really good so far in my opinion.

Did any of you see Louis’ tweets lastnight? He tweeted he had a meeting at the CBS lot(where they film the show) and then he tweeted this…

Feb. 18th is coming right up, Guys, and hopefully, we will find out which pros will be dancing. 🙂

People.com has a new article with Cheryl up today in promotion for her new book “Dancing Lessons” being released in February. She discusses a little about being molested. Here is an excerpt from the on-line story. More in the new issue of PEOPLE on news stands Friday.

“I’m telling my story,” says Burke, 26, who opens up about the molestation – and other struggles, including physical abuse by two former boyfriends – in her new book Dancing Lessons, (coauthored by PEOPLE senior writer Monica Rizzo). “They’re not secrets. There’s no shame.”

Burke’s abuser was a retired mailman who was trusted and well liked in Burke’s Bay Area community. He would sometimes pick Burke up from school and do odd jobs around her home. The assaults began when she was 5.

After he was accused of targeting other children, Burke acknowledged her own abuse. But, still reeling from her parents’ split when she was a baby, she was wracked with confusion.

“I felt guilty for wanting his love and affection,” she says, calling testifying against him “the hardest thing I’ve ever done … I saw his face and lawyers were asking me these questions and I was like, ‘What am I doing? Did he even do anything wrong?’ ”

Eventually, with the man in prison and years of therapy, Burke came to see just how wrong her abuser was.

Now, with season 12 of DWTS beginning in March, Burke is ready to tell her story. “If I can help just one person,” she says, “for me that’s all that matters.”

There have been some new “Footloose” movie stills released at Fused Film. You can see one of them below of Julianne. More at the link.

I’m excited for this new remake. So, do you remember where you saw the original “Footloose” movie? I remember seeing it at the time of it’s release in Cheyenne, Wy. I liked it, but, not as much as Flashdance and Dirty dancing. How about you?

Ok, that is all for now. More soon!! xxx 😉

Julianne Hough Off Footloose and Back on DWTS Season 11?

[picappgallerysingle id=”8567281″]
I haven’t seen too much news and talk lately about Julianne Hough and her possible return to Dancing with the Stars season 11. However, from past information it seems like Julianne Hough still had a commitment to come back on DWTS. It’s mostly just been a question of when (although, I guess she could buy it out or something).

US Magazine just reported about Chace Crawford dropping out of the remake of Footloose and Julianne also mentions that she might have to drop out of Footloose as well. Here’s the relevant quotes:

Julianne Hough is bummed Chace Crawford dropped out of Footloose.

The former Dancing With the Stars pro — who quit the show to focus on her singing and acting career — says she may have to pull out of the ’80s remake as well because of scheduling difficulties.

“His schedule couldn’t work because of Gossip Girl and mine almost didn’t work because of DWTS,” Julianne tells Us, “so we’re still actually working on mine to see if I can do it.”

Does she miss DWTS? “I do and I don’t,” Julianne says. “I miss the camaraderie and dancing, but I’m busy doing my music. I’m touring with Sugarland this year. I have a single out in June.”

Maybe I’m reading into this a little bit, but it seems certainly possible that Julianne Hough being on DWTS season 11 is the conflict that could mean she has to drop out of Footloose, no? I actually think that Julianne Hough fans will see this as a good and a bad thing. Good to have her back on DWTS season 11, but bad that they won’t get to see her in Footloose.

On the other side, Princess Heidi and her band of Derek Hough fans will certainly be very excited that Chace and possibly Julianne won’t be on Footloose. Why? Because that gives them renewed hope that Derek could replace Chace in Footloose.
