DWTS Season 13 Finale Interviews After Monday Night’s Dances Part 1 (Videos)

Wow, what a fun first final night on Dancing With The Stars Season 13!! If you haven’t done so yet, be sure to tell us your thoughts and reviews in Courtney’s new Power Ranking Post. Stay tuned for a new Numbers post for who will win from Heidi as well shortly. In the mean time, enjoy some new interviews after the finalists danced last night from On The Red Carpet with George Pennacchio…

First up, Kirstie Alley was in the audience and below are her thoughts on the night. She loved Ricki and her “spins”. She also talks of her new TV show coming;

Some of the cast from “All My Children” had some thoughts on the show and why J.R. continues to be such an “inspiration” for everyone….

Chaz Bono had some thoughts too. He will be proud for whoever wins and this entire cast will be close friends for life…

And finally, the dancers….

J.R. talks of how tough the competition is. It’s anyone’s game. They were disappointed in their Cha Cha, but, are happy with their freestyle. J.R. never thought all of this could be possible after what happened to him in Iraq.

Rob is on a ‘high cloud’ right now. He never expected to receive all “10′s” for he and Cheryl’s freestyle, but, it’s a whole other day tomorrow (tonight) and he plans to go into it again with a comfortable, confident approach and giving it all he’s got. This show has taught him so much and that anything is possible. He’s hoping to go to law school and follow his Dad’s footsteps when Dancing With The Stars is over.

Derek talks of how they want to continue to keep the pressure off tonight and whatever the outcome, it’s a “celebration”. Ricki is happy with how they danced last night. She never thought she’d be able to dance like she did when she had the weight issues she’s had in the past. They talk of her new Talk show and marriage coming up. Win or lose tonight, “Ricki is back and better than ever”.

More interviews and reviews coming! Stay tuned!! ;)

DWTS 13, Week 9 Interviews After The Results Part 1 (Videos)

Well, there won’t be any interviews with the eliminated couple, Hope and Maks, this week. We’re not sure why, but, one source below mentions how Hope was escorted out of the press room last night (more details towards the end of this post on that). Instead the finalists were on Jimmy Kimmy LIVE last night. They will also be doing Good Morning America today according to Heidi in her Spoilers post. More on those interviews in a while, but, first let’s get the On The Red Carpet interviews with George Pennacchio.

J.R. tells George how scary it was being along side Hope in the bottom two last night, but, he’s thankful he made it and looks forward to next week’s dances. Karina is not in the interview since she went straight to the studio to start working the choreography. He plans to do whatever she says.

Ricki is surprised and feels so blessed she made it this far. She feels like she’s beating the odds and it’s all because of Derek. He has some tricks up his sleeves for their final dances.

Rob’s number goal is to keep focusing and trying to improve as he’s done every week since the season began. He never thought he’d get this far and he plans to bring 200% to rehearsals this week. He wants that Mirror Ball Trophy!

Here are some interviews with Ricki and Rob from Access Hollywood as well….

Should Dancing With The Stars Only Have One Season A Year??

What do you think of Tom Bergeron’s new idea to combat the TV ratings game and keep viewers interested?

It’s still a Top 10 hit, but this season ABC’s Dancing With the Stars is down nearly 14 percent from last fall, to an average of 18 million viewers. Host Tom Bergeron has a suggestion to keep viewers interested: Only air the show once a year, rather than in both fall and spring.

“One season a year works very well for American Idol,” says Bergeron, who thinks the longer wait creates more viewer anticipation. “I certainly think that’s one of the things that should be considered going forward. I would be looking at the spring season very carefully.”

More at TV Guide. Be sure to tell us your thoughts in the comments section and place your vote in our new poll.

My thoughts? NO! Tom, are you crazy? I love Dancing With The Stars and I love having two seasons!! The ratings are only down because it’s football season. So what if one or a few shows are at the top of the Fall ratings. It doesn’t mean anything needs to be changed. :(

DWTS Season 13, Week 8 Interviews After The Dance Part 2 (Videos)

In part 2 of our interview posts, we get the dancers thoughts from what they discussed with Access Hollywood and ET. Good Morning America also interviewed Carson Kressley for what he thought of the dances. Louis Van Amstel also reviewed the show.

First up, Carson’s thoughts!! He says Len must have had a Prozac Smoothie for the mood he was in last night. He thinks J.R. and Karina are really taking over the lead now. Ricki is a real showman, but, she looked a little tired last night. Even still, she is a pro dancing out there and a definite contender. Carson loved Maks and Hope last night. It was the first time they looked like they were both having fun. He thinks Rob keeps improving and is going to make it to the final three. Nancy will most likely go home tonight because her underwear showed (what? 8O ) and she copied his cart wheel. LOL! Carson is in rare form as always.

Be sure to read Louis’ review on the night at ABC. He pretty much nails it again I think. I never thought I’d say this, but, I would be all for having Louis replacing or being added to the judges panel, would you? Below is his overall opinion on the night;

Overall: What a great night. Every couple stepped up to the plate and tonight was such a great, classic “Dancing With the Stars” night, full of inspiration and fun dancing. That’s the reason why so many people fell in love with the show.

It’s very clear to me the top two is between Ricki and J.R. After tonight, Ricki will have to up her game. I’m worried for Nancy to survive tomorrow’s elimination, and both Rob and Hope have to show more energy in order to make it to the final. Both can take that third spot but, having said that, it ain’t over for Nancy yet, because we don’t know how you guys voted!

Now onto the Access Hollywood interviews….

DWTS Season 13, Week 8 Interviews After The Dance Part 1 (Videos)

What a night…the best of the season in many of our opinions (refer to Courtney’s new Power Rankings Post.)!! Less drama and the focus was more on good dancing! George Pennacchio of On The Red Carpet was impressed too. He was there to interview all the remaining couples after their dances for what they thought. He also asks what they hope they will accomplish if they get to come back another week.

It’s the “Final lap of the Nascar”, Karina says when asked what is left for these two after their perfect scores last night. J.R. says he owes the “tens” to Karina. Karina says their dances were like an “out of body experience” and everything came together.

Maks and Hope are happy with last night’s outcome. They joke of how Hope is an “athlete” and her legs are still tired and hurt. Maks says, “Mission accomplished” to Hope recognizing that fact. They go through the physical toll dancing on this show can have on a person. They also speak of how there is something inside Hope that responds positively to all the pressure. The more pressure, the more she works and wants to do better.

Roses were thrown to Ricki and Derek like in an ice skating competition last night. It’s no wonder. George thought their first dance showed a side to Ricki he had never seen before. She loved the dance and was doing it for her Grandmother. It was also fun falling in love with Derek. Ricki gets a little down mentioning her mistakes and wish she had done better, but, Derek is proud. He highlighted how they received a “10″ and how memorable their first dance will be to him.

Robe and Cheryl feel like they’ve set out what they accomplished by improving every week. Cheryl is proud of Rob for listening to her and really working hard. If they make it tonight, they plan to keep working hard on all the things the judges advised of them. Cheryl is nervous about the results tonight.

George tells Nancy he doesn’t think Len realizes Cinderella has a fairy tale ending. Tristan says, “It’s not over yet”. No matter what happens, Nancy is just happy to have danced. Tristan is happy because their dances were an improvement from last week. George talks of how they received a standing ovation. Tristan says that’s what dancing is for and all about.

More coming! Stay tuned!! ;)

DWTS 13 The Elimination Interviews With Kym Johnson And David Arquette

Did David and Kym know they were leaving after their dance Monday night? George Pennacchio asks them about it straight up in this interview from On The Red Carpet! They also talk of David’s heart and soul and how he brought that to Dancing With The Stars.

David told Access Hollywood that he has many fun memories that he will take with him after doing Dancing With The Stars. David also speaks on his future plans.

DWTS 13, Week 7 Interviews After The Elimination, Information On Week 8 Dances Revealed

George Pennacchio was there to greet and interview all the couples after the elimination last night. He asks them their thoughts on it as well as their next two dances next week. The couples have the instant Jive (that they won’t get a song for until 30 minutes before they dance) and another dance which you can read more on below.

First up, Derek!! He won’t speak much of Ricki and his second dance except to say it’s a “Slow Waltz” and he wants to make it emotional and fun. Derek thinks Ricki is looking beautiful in her presentations…especially in her top frame which keeps improving every week. He’s having fun designing costumes for her and doing new things for her new figure with it. Ricki isn’t here for this interview. Derek sent her straight home to rest her ribs so they could practice hard today.

Rob feels his dedication and focus really need to come now if they want to make it to the finals. Cheryl says they have to step it up and put even more time into practices. Rob is ready! Their second dance is the Quick Step which Rob says will be fun and “cool”. He talked of how he will miss David. He made him laugh every week.

J.R. and Karina are going to miss David’s energy like they missed in Carson. They have the Slow Waltz next week as their second dance. Karina is hoping to show two sides of J.R. again…the romantic side and the fun side. J.R. says Dancing With The Stars has been life changing for him and it’s been a tremendous honor to do the show.

Nancy believes the competition right now is between themselves since they are all such good friends. Tristan plans to remained focused on what they’ve been doing all along and “do their best” not necessarily “being the best”. Their second dance next week is the Tango. They have the same two dances next week as this week. They hope to use this week’s dances as inspiration to do better.

Maks seems more himself in this interview versus last night’s interview. He admits to not being in a good place yesterday. Some of his past partners texted him about it. He wants to make it clear how much he is enjoying this ride with Hope.

In this interview by Access Hollywood, Maks admits to being too intense and how he lost the focus of why they are doing the show. He hopes the fans don’t feel betrayed by him and think he isn’t the person we thought he was (is he reading our posts?). He is not the person we saw yesterday. Hope goes on to say she’s appreciated how Maks has coached her, but, they hope to have more fun in the coming weeks. They have the Quick Step as their second dance.

Derek was interviewed by Access Hollywood as well. He talks of his triple duty this past week. He speaks of he and Ricki’s two dances next week. Nancy jumps into the interview and unzips Derek’s shirt. LOL

Ok, that is all for now!! Here’s to next week’s dances!!

DWTS Season 13, Week 7 Interviews After The Dance Part 1 (Videos)

Let’s get right to the interviews after Monday night’s dances with our favorite interviewer, George Pennacchio of On The Red Carpet!! As always, George asks the couples some different questions. This week he dives into the “safety” factor.

First up, below is Ron and Cheryl! George tries to get Rob to admit he’s ready to be in the finals, but, Rob and Cheryl won’t admit to it. They hope they make it, but, they don’t want to jinx anything. On the safety factor, Cheryl totally trusts Rob. He hasn’t dropped her yet. They also talk of how happy they are with more fans and people rooting for them every week. At the end of the interview, George asks Rob on his sister’s divorce. Rob says it’s a difficult time for the family, but, they will support her.

Next up is Ricki and Derek! They are so proud of their dance and the Team Paso. On the safety factor, Ricki trusts Derek “implicitly” with her body and her life. Derek says he’ll always have her. On her injury, Ricki doesn’t plan to let it or anything else get in her way. They are so happy with their first place finish. Their faces say it all!

Maks and Hope look at George’s notes and scores. Hope is happy with them. Just like last night, Maks is unusually quiet through the interview. When George questions him on it, Maks said he has said enough in the last few weeks. He then remarks when he looks back on his life, he will look back happy on this time and that he did it his way. A very subdued Maks. I’m not sure what to think, but, this can’t be helping their situation?
