Dancing With The Stars pro Cheryl Burke dropped by San Francisco’s 7 Live yesterday to talk about the show. She starts out saying how she’s so excited and they start next week (some of them do as she later mentions). She can’t wait for the cast announcement on the 28th. They won’t tell the dancers who they are dancing with because they might slip and tell everyone. She really doesn’t care who her next partner is as long as she can dance for what she’s most passionate about. She talks on her new Macy’s Ideology fitness line. Lots more below…
More photos have been released of Cheryl Burke modeling for her new active wear line for Macy’s. The new Macy’s collection will include jackets, sweatshirts, tops, bras, pants, shorts and accessories ranging from $8 to $58 and will debut this Spring exclusively at Macy’s department stores. So, stay tuned. In the meantime, enjoy this gallery with Cheryl and more previews. You can read and see more on the launch in previous articles here and here.
Stay tuned for a new interview with Cheryl on KTLA later today talking about the new line. She’s also going to talk about her new Latin Jazzercise DVD! Below is a snippet of a new interview with Shape Magazine as well….
SHAPE: What’s it like being on Dancing with the Stars?
CB: Being on Dancing with the Stars is an amazing opportunity. I consider myself lucky to be a part of the show and to be able to share my passion and love of dance with such a huge audience while managing to train a few celebrities in ballroom dance along the way. It has literally been life changing for me.
SHAPE: What are your favorite wellness drinks and snacks to keep you going on the go?
CB: I live by green tea with lemon and honey. I’m not really a snack person, but when I do snack I try to stick to foods that are filling and not just empty calories.
SHAPE: Tell us about your new active wear collection collaboration with Macy’s?
CB: I was honored when approached, as Ideology is the first activewear brand to be exclusive to Macy’s. The line speaks to women of all body types with its feminine cuts, and I know that my fans are going love it. It’s affordable and fashionable.
ADDING: You can go to KTLA now to hear Cheryl’s new interview here. She talks about her new current projects, but, she also talks about Dancing With The Stars. She said she loved dancing with Rob Kardashian and how calm he always was and how that was a key to going as far as they did. Great interview.
Isn’t Cheryl gorgeous again in the picture above? Friday night, she was seen with friends Kelly Monaco (seen above with Cheryl and who looks beautiful as well) and Jenny McCarthy dining and partying at Koi Restaurant at the Planet Hollywood Resort and the Chateau Nightclub & Gardens inside Paris Las Vegas! You can see more fun pictures of the two at Haute Event and the Haunt Event Facebook page which are fun sites to follow if you are interested in keeping up with the Las Vegas nightlife and happenings in the city. 🙂
Speaking of Cheryl, she did a new interview with Fashion Weekly on her new Macy’s gig representing the new active wear line with “Ideology”. Cheryl talks of how Rob helped with promotion this past week and how she’d like to help with designing it one day. She also dishes on her dreams and what a good sleeper she is. More below. Be sure to read the link for the full interview.
You and Rob Kardashian must be pretty tight if he’s deejaying your party.
We developed a great relationship. I found out he was deejaying a few days ago; it was such a surprise. I didn’t even know he could DJ, but he knows what kind of music I like.
We’re at the Dream. Tell us about your last one.
I always dream that I’m being chased; I don’t know why. I’m always in the forest running away from some animal. I always wake up in a sweat.
If someone taught Cherylology like biology, what would the curriculum be?
Dancing, obviously. I’m a really good sleeper. I can sleep like nobody’s business. I’m a good girl to go out with if you want to have a good time. I know how to get down. I also like to cook.
Interesting. I never knew she could sleep like that or cook.
Isn’t the above picture sweet of Rob and Cheryl? Yesterday, the two posed together at Macy’s “Ideology” Press Launch at Dream Downtown in New York City wearing their new attire. This is only the beginning for what we’ll see of Cheryl in future promos and advertisements for this fun activewear line. You can view more fun pictures of Rob and Cheryl at the event at Zimbio here.
ADDING: Cheryl gave Stylist an interview on the new Ideology line. While doing so, check out what she says on the Elvis costume she wore with Rob this past Season.
Fittingly, on “Dancing With The Stars,” Burke designs her own costumes, as well. Although she has the Macy’s stamp of approval, the dancer is not free of sartorial missteps. “This season, when I danced with Rob [Kardashian] I wore this weird white thing,” she said, “I looked like Elvis, I look back and it’s like what was I thinking? That’s the one costume that I wish I could re-do.”
LOL! More at Stylist.
Get ready to see Cheryl Burke in some really cool Macy’s ad’s coming up! She’s been selected as the face of “Ideology” which is a new brand of activewear in an era of bright colors like hot pink, lime green, and magenta. Below is a quote from Style Watch.
“The clothes are very me. They’re just like what I normally wear for rehearsals or to workout in, and the sports bras are quite possibly the best I’ve ever encountered,” Burke, who finished in second place with partner Rob Kardashian on Monday’s DWTS, tells WWD. “I’ve been a lifelong shopper at Macy’s, and when they approached me to come on board to be a spokesperson for Ideology, I jumped at the chance.”
According to Macy’s senior vice president of marketing, Nancy Slavin, Burke was chosen for her overall appeal. “She is known for her talent and athleticism, but she’s also very curvy and relatable to our customer,” she tells WWD. “I think our Ideology customer will respond to her energy and down-to-earth sensibility as much as to her very impressive achievements,” including her two DWTS wins.
I agree. Cheryl will represent the line perfectly. You can read more and also view a cool photo of Cheryl in the new line at Style Watch.
