Stevie Wonder, Hunter Hayes, Will.i.am, And Olly Murs To Perform On Dancing With The Stars

Gear up All! It’s going to be a big week on Dancing With The Stars next week. Stevie Wonder, Hunter Hayes, Will.i.am, And Olly Murs are all set to perform!! Below are some details from ABC MediaNet.

“Episode 1606 & 1606A” – Eight remaining couples hit the dance floor and pay tribute to singer, songwriter and legend Stevie Wonder, MONDAY, APRIL 22 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET). Stevie Wonder takes over the ballroom as “Dancing with the Stars” devotes, for the first time, an entire evening to one artist. He will perform some of his classic songs, including “Sir Duke” and “My Cherie Amour,” and the celebrities will dance to his greatest hits, including “I Just Called to Say I Love You,” “For Once in My Life” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours).” Special guest country superstar Hunter Hayes will perform with Stevie Wonder in a spectacular opening performance. The night will also showcase two team dances featuring the celebrities and their pro partners.

On TUESDAY, APRIL 23, one couple will be eliminated on “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show” (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET). The show will feature music by seven-time GRAMMY Award winner will.i.am performing his current single, “#thatpower,” and international superstar Olly Murs will perform his current hit, “Troublemaker.” In Addition, “Macy’s Stars of Dance” returns for its third installment of the season, choreographed by AJ Jones.

PureDWTS Aly Raisman Chats On The Most Surprising Thing About Mark Ballas, The Boston Bombings, And More

The LA Times interviewed Aly after her week 5 dance on Dancing With The Stars. They talk of Mark Ballas and the most surprising thing she learned about him. She also gives her thoughts for what it was like to perform after the Boston bombings and in what order she’s like to dance if she could pick….

Q. You consider Boston to be your hometown, so performing a dance on Monday must have seemed a bit strange considering the tragedy at the Boston Marathon earlier that day.

Yes, performing on Monday was very difficult for me. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the tragedy since I first heard the news in our dress rehearsal. It is so heartbreaking and terrible. My heart goes out to everyone back home in Boston and anyone else who was affected by [Monday’s] incident.

Q. If you had a choice, would you rather dance first and get it over with, or dance last and see how everyone else did?

I would rather go first! I am used to going last in gymnastics. I love going last because you have enough time to prepare and to check out the competition, but here on “DWTS” it’s a little different. I don’t consider this as much of a competition because I’ve just been having so much fun! I just love cheering everyone on, and the show and atmosphere are both amazing. It’s exciting for to me to see everyone improve so much each week! I love this show and I’m having a blast!

Please keep your thoughts and prayers with Boston and vicinity. They need us more than ever!!

To read the full interview, see the LA Times. Stay tuned later. We hope to have more with Mark!!!

Dancing With The Stars Cast Goes Straight To Rehearsals After The Results Show

Hey All…sorry, but, so far On The Red Carpet, Access Hollywood, etc, hasn’t posted any interviews after the elimination last night. I think the cast might have went straight to rehearsals being they have two dances this upcoming week? Below is PopTVDotCom with some coverage in the rehearsal parking lot last night. Note how Derek says “SAMBA BABY” as he goes into the studio!! Aly yells “TEAM SAMBA” as she goes in! Good ol’ PopTVDotCom!!!!

DWTS Tom Bergeron Interviewed About Boston Bombings, Last Night’s Show Hardest He’s Ever Done

Tony Dovolani interviewed host Tom Bergeron on the Boston bombings after Dancing With The Stars last night. Tom gets emotional…he’s sad and angry at the same time. It was the hardest show he’s ever done. Tony interviewed Aly too being she’s from Boston like Tom. More below. With that said, PureDWTS would like to extend our love, thoughts, and prayers to Tom, Aly, and everyone in and from Boston!!! The world unites in your suffering.xxxx

Louis Van Amstel And Sabrina Bryan Review Dancing With The Stars 16 Week 5

Louis Van Amstel and Sabrina Bryan weighed in on last night’s dances for Dancing With The Stars Week 5 on Good Morning America!! Below is some text from the link for who they think will be in the bottom three tonight and who is going home (please please, just don’t let it be Andy. Let it be D.L. or Victor instead. Andy is so much better than the other two.)

Who’s Going Home?

Sabrina: The bottom three, in my opinion, are Victor, DL, and Andy. With Victor having a turn-around this week, I think that it’s between our two comedians for who goes home this week. So far, Cheryl’s fans have saved her and DL from even hitting the bottom two, and as we all know with this competition, no one is safe.

Louis: I’m worried for DL, Victor, and Andy, but I think Victor goes home. He’s been in the bottom two twice now.

You can read more of what Louis and Sabrina think of each individual dance at Good Morning America!! I think GMA will also be posting some video coverage too with Sabrina and Louis shortly. Be watching for it here.

It’s Stevie Wonder Week On Dancing With The Stars Week 6, Interviews After Last Night’s Dance

What another great night of tv last night on Dancing With The Stars!! If you haven’t given us your reviews and ranked the couples, be sure you do so when you get time today in Courtney’s fun new Power Rankings Post here. Stay tuned for Heidi’s new “Numbers” post in a bit as well for her thoughts and predictions for who is going home tonight. For now, let’s get the couples reactions with George Pennacchio of On The Red Carpet. He finds out some dance info for next week already. Note too how Maks is interviewed as well….

First up, Kellie and Derek. Kellie is glad she didn’t “butcher” the dance last night and is happy with her dance. Derek talks of how much he loves Kellie and wants to her to be really good. He was so proud of her last night especially with shorter time to practice. Everyone will dance to a Stevie Wonder song next week and they have the Quick Step. They almost didn’t air the show last night because of the bombs in Boston, but, Derek is glad they did to offer some positivity and comfort. For more on these two, see Pure Derek Hough.

Jacoby tried to point his toes last night, but God made his feet for a reason. He’s excited to bring some “soul” next week with a Stevie Wonder song. George praises Jacoby’s positive attitude. Their prayers go out to Boston.

Maks joins Zendaya and Val in their interview with George. He thinks it was a good idea to bring back the older pros and the response was amazing last night. He also never said he “left”. He also says his new relationship with General Hospital isn’t over. Val talks of how great it was to have Maks and Anna join them. He loved the energy and it was great to get their help. Zendaya says this was the hardest week so far and she is so happy and thankful for last night’s 10’s. If Maks were a betting man, he sees the next Beyonce in Zendaya. George asks them about next week, but, Val doesn’t let out much info. He wants to savor last night’s moments. Maks explains the differences between he and Val’s choreographing styles.

Andy and Sharna! George praises Andy for having the best entrance ever on Dancing With The Stars. Even though they only got 6’s, Andy said they had the best time. Sharna said the song itself made their Paso Doble the most challenging to dance. If they make it to next week, they hope they get Stevie’s “Superstition” song. Andy is a little down and hopes he still gets to stay on the show for the fun he’s having.

DWTS16 Week 5 Previews From 5 Returning Pros, Pre-Party, Costume Teasers, And More

Tony Dovolani, Maks Chmerkovskiy, and some of the cast did a Dancing With The Stars segment today for Good Morning America. Tony begins by taking us to what the ballroom looks like “naked” without the lights, the costumes, etc.. Then they show Maks. He teases us about a big pro number and one of the biggest we’ve ever seen on the show. Chelsie Hightower, Tristan MacManus, and Anna Trebunskaya also peek in to say they “are back” too. They also show some brief rehearsal footage and some costume teasers as well (beautiful!!). You can watch this fun segment at this link.

Also, when you get some time today, be sure you take in the new ABC Dancing With The Stars Pre-Party! Tristan MacManus joins in the fun to discuss Dorothy and tonight’s dances. Here he is talking about a “show stopper” for the show like Maks on GMA. It’s so good to see him again, isn’t it?!!

You can watch more of this Pre-Party here.
