Thanks for your help. Also, I’m sticking with my Dancing with the Stars rankings and predicting that Ty and Chelsie will be sent home tonight. Also, we’re lucky that tonight we’ll get to see Maks and Anna Demidova and Kym Johnson and Mayo Alanen battle it out for the new professional dancer on Dancing with the Stars Season 9. The special guest performer is Raphael Saadiq.

For the first time in a while, we got two all Professional dances on the Monday night performance show.  Each dance was intended to showcase the ballroom and latin dances that would be performed by the remaining five competitors. Great performances by Louis Van Amstel (also noted as the choreographer), Kym Johnson, Lacey Schwimmer, Dimitri Chaplin, Jonathan Roberts and Anna Trebunskaya.

Tonight was quite the shocker for me. I was certain that Melissa Rycroft would be going home. I guess I seriously underestimated the number of fans that are sympathetic to Melissa. Add in the injury and Melissa really must have garnered a ton of sympathy votes.

Don’t get me wrong. Melissa is a wonderful dancer and I don’t like anyone getting sent home due to injury, but I really thought that Julianne and Chuck would have gotten more votes. Hard to believe that Ty and Chelsie is possibly more popular than Chuck and Julianne. Pretty amazing stuff.

Brent Borbon and Snow Urbin were knocked out of the competition to be the next professional on Dancing with the Stars.

In quite a surprise, David and Kym were sent home on Dancing with the Stars. Seems like Steve-O (and probably Lacey) along with Ty (and probably Chelsie) have large fan bases. Interesting that the two professional dancers that bucked the score were on So You Think You Can Dance and brought over many fans from that show.

Etta James sang the song “At Last” while Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy performed.

Demi Lovato sang the song “La La Land” while special guests Benji Schwimmer (So You Think You Can Dance winner) and Torri Smith performed.

They also had a Macy’s Stars of Dance performance by Le Rêve.

Tonight’s dances were the viennese waltz and paso doble. 2 really interesting dances. They don’t usually have the same wow factor as some of the other dances(except for the Paso Doble sometimes), but the music is always nice. Plus, seeing Steve-O do a viennese waltz is priceless.

Anyone have information on what Boyz II Men has been doing all this time? I haven’t seen them around for quite a while. I still assert that dancing takes every song to a whole new level.

Nice to see Lindy Hop grace the stage of Dancing with the Stars. I’m also a big fan of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy so nice to see them on the list below since they’re great for Lindy Hop music. Could you get 2 dances that were more different in both style and music?
